9 is a 2009 American computer animated science fiction film

directed by Shane Acker, written by Pamela Pettler and produced by Jim Lemley, Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov and Dana Ginsburg. The film stars the voice of Elijah Wood as the titular role, alongside other voices of John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Christopher Plummer, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau.

9 reunites with the other stitchpunks and decides to sacrifice himself so the others can retrieve the talisman. Having had a change of heart, 1 redeems himself by saving 9, pushing him out of the way and allowing himself to be absorbed while 9 removes the talisman. 9 activates the talisman and uses it to reabsorb the souls taken by the Machine, resulting in its final destruction. Afterwards, 9, 7, 3, and 4 release the souls of 5, 1, 6, 2, and 8 from inside the talisman. Bidding farewell to their friends, they fly up into the sky. Rain then falls from the sky, the raindrops containing small flecks of glowing bacteria, bringing life back into the world.

The Wild Robot

This is my adaptation of the children's book: The Wild Robot.

I used pre-made models and rigs to stage and animate this scene using Maya. I created the water and land models.

After staging, I lit the scene using Renderman Pixar lighting. Once the staging and lighting process was complete, I created texture maps using Substance Painter for the models and then Renderman PXR Texture.

Once the scene was complete, I began Batch rendering in Maya. After waiting a few days I took it into Premiere Pro to do some Post Production work.

I made this for my Final 3D Shading, Lighting, and Rendering class.
