綜合外媒報導，美國財政部指出，經過多年調查，艾薩米涉嫌在擔任內政部長及州長任內，協助運送大批毒品自委內瑞拉運至海外。一位不具名身份的美國官員透露，艾薩米曾將一批重量超過1噸的毒品運往美國和墨西哥。

話說今年（2025）的諾貝爾和平獎是頒發給一位委內瑞拉人María Corina Machado，但一般領獎前的程序是獲獎人要出來發表得獎感言，但到現在人還是找不到。(原本以為是被政府失蹤，原來是)因為人在境內逃亡又無法離境，所以到現在還是找不到人，不過女兒說要代為領獎並宣讀父親{sic}（母親）傳來的得獎感言。天啊，希望不會因此被政府反追查，或是女兒被抓去刑求，也不要到時候才宣布人已經掛了。OTL
