Aries Horoscope for May 2014

April was a workout for most Aries, particularly those with birthdays that fell near April 15, plus or minus four days. Aries have asked me, "Will May be a better month?" I say, absolutely, yes, because it would be hard to match a month as difficult as April, the one month of the year that gets my vote for hardest month of 2014. I say that you should enjoy May, but with some qualifications. If I had told you that you should have felt the April 15 eclipse, and you say it did not, that April eclipse may still assert a message one month to the day later, May 15. If you DID feel the eclipse last month - that's it. It's done and you can plan your life with greater certainty.
Eclipses can be tough, for they tend to bring news that cannot be negotiated but rather accepted. The April 15 eclipse was in your opposite sign of Libra, so when news came up, you did not have many options. (Remember, you would have had a birthday that falls within five days of that date, or have a natal planet at 25 degrees Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn.)
Whatever ended may give you a feeling of relief. Sometimes, however, that is not true, say, when we say goodbye to a pet, for example. Eclipses often ask for a sacrifice, and I always feel that if I am capable of giving up what the universe is asking me to do, then I am holding my own, and grateful it was not something more painful and difficult to give up. If it was painful for you - many Aries literally felt pain, for a health or dental matter may have come up in April or suffered through a very devastating relationship breakup - then find ways to comfort yourself by surrounding yourself with friends. You will, no doubt, try to figure out the confluence of events, and that's good to do, but not every unhappy thing that happens to us is our fault. Situations have a certain life of their own, and when the universe proclaims that the life of that situation is over, it is done. In other words, you may have nothing to bring on the loss or pain you suffered, so be comforted in that - it is not necessarily your fault.
We had two eclipses. The second eclipse, a solar eclipse just prior to the start of May, on April 28-29, was friendlier because it was a solar eclipse in Taurus and opened a new opportunity in your earned income sector. You may find a new position that pays well, or find a lucrative project because new moon solar eclipses tend to always bring fresh starts.
You seem to have money on your mind, for the full moon, May 14, will highlight your house of other people's money. This full moon is one that will make us all face facts, no matter what sign you happen to be. Saturn will orbit close to the full moon, so the message is: be practical. The eighth house rules credit cards, student loans, mortgage, taxes, and other such sums due for a previously made financial obligation. This appears to be a moment when you feel squeezed. Knowing it is coming, figure out where the money might emanate - don't use credit cards if you can avoid doing so. Ask your bank for a line of credit, or your family for a loan - these areas are likely to be fruitful for you now. There is always an answer to every question, so don't throw up your hands in a panic. Your mother or father appears to understand your situation and will not likely abandon you.
Venus will enter Aries this month on May 2 to May 28, a wonderful time to shop for madly flattering clothes that will make you feel like a million. This is the first time Venus has been in Aries in 2014, so after you see about improving your appearance, be sure to step out and enjoy the company of new people. If you are attached, you will receive lots of attention from your one-and-only, and if not dating, you will have a solid chance to meet someone new.
A super romantic date will be Thursday, May 15, when Venus and Uranus will meet in Aries! The moon will be in Sagittarius; so all systems are go for Aries on this lovely day.
Mars, your ruler and guardian planet, will cooperate too, for Mars has big news for you! Mars has been in your opposite sign of Libra since December 7, and that's not an easy place for you to host your ruler. Mars won't leave Libra until the end of July, but here's the uplifting news. Mars went retrograde on March 1, and began stalling your plans and big initiatives. Now, on May 19, Mars will go direct and your entire life will heat up and move on fast forward. You will love the change - watch for news that arrives on the days that circle May 19. You will know when you hear the news that this is a result that the turn of Mars to direct has for you.
Jupiter is making his final tour of your house of home, so if you hope to lease, sell, or buy a house, put your mind to it now, for by early July, Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will move out of your property, home, and family sector. You have a dazzling chance to make your home your castle, dear Aries, and even little touches will make a big difference.
The month ends with a lovely new moon, May 28-29, in 7 degrees Gemini, the sign of travel. See if you can hop in your car and explore a town not too far from home. You may go out of town with your sister or brother or with the purpose to see your sibling or cousin. This will also be a superb time to sign a contact, send in your manuscript, or sign off on the development of a new app or a publicity or ad campaign. You can order new business cards, redesign your website or social networking page, or begin work on a screen play or book that is truly "you." Keep in mind that Mercury will retrograde from June 7 to July 1, so make this new moon work for you - be in a hurry!
Aries who have a birthday that falls March 29, plus or minus four days, will feel this new moon's benefits the most.
The month ends on a brilliant note. You will have a golden day on May 30, when the Sun and Mars will collaborate perfectly, linking your house of quick, spontaneous travel, and Mars, in your house of your one-and-only significant other. The following day, May 31, Jupiter conjoins the moon - all is so sweet! Fly away, drive away, or sail away in the sea-green boat of the Owl and Pussycat. Your venue matters not - just go! It'll be fun!

As you begin May, you've just come through two eclipses last month, so the message of the eclipses may have brought a relationship matter to your attention or one involving your health and/or your income to your attention. The job of an eclipse is to work against the status quo to forge progress. If you heard no news last month at eclipse time, keep an eye on the days that circle May 14 and 28, because often an eclipse will deliver its news precisely one month later and the same topics are likely to come up. A close relationship may have become complicated or inflamed - use a light touch.

This month, you have a full moon in Scorpio on May 14, and because Saturn will orbit close, financial news might be sobering. You may feel forced to make a practical plan, for one will seem needed. You may begin to get clues this will be necessary earlier, on or near May 10, when Saturn opposes the Sun. This may cause you to view life through a dark lens at this time, but this feeling will pass. You may have to settle a division of property matter, or pay an outstanding loan or tax due. Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will help you by bringing generous family support. It is also possible that you will receive a stroke of luck regarding a real estate sale or housing situation. If you need money quickly, your home is your lucky for you, and so you may be able to borrow against home equity.
A love relationship that is fairly new might take a bit of work, for a misunderstanding or harsh glance might cause a kerfuffle at some time during the month. By May 24, however, when Saturn and Jupiter form an ideal "trine" aspect of supreme harmony, you will have a chance to unlock any financial dilemma you may have encountered and bring back the closeness that you worried you may have lost.
A big moment will occur on May 19 when your ruler, Mars, finally turns direct motion after being retrograde since March 1. Progress on goals may have felt stubbornly stuck, but after May 19, you will see a gratifying change. People with whom you need approvals will be more decisive, and approvals you need to start projects will come, at long last. Mars will not be orbiting at full throttle until end of June, but even so, you will see a quickening of the pace almost immediately. Mars will be moving direct after May 19, so say goodbye to frustrating delays.
Romantically, how things will go will depend on whether last month's eclipse on April 15 found any weak links in your current relationship. If so, you may need to decide what to do about the news you received.
Venus will be in Aries for the first and only time this year from May 2 to 28, a great time to improve your wardrobe and looks. Venus will also amp up your charms. If you are single, your day to sparkle will be May 15 when Venus will receive messages from surprise-a-minute Uranus, both planets in Aries.
The month ends on a joyful note, on the new moon, May 28. In the days that follow, you will likely be able to travel a short distance, possibly to see your sister, brother, or a cousin. Any trip will do you a world of good. The good fortune you've enjoyed through the kindness of your parent or other family member will also continue. All sorts of travel will work out well.
You may be asked to speak to a group or start out on an important writing assignment as a result of the May 28 new moon - it'll go well. You can sign papers, too, after May 28 as long as your lawyer has given you the green light. Next month, June 7 to July 1, Mercury will go retrograde, so do all-important moves now. All your ventures will go best in the month's last third, from May 19 to May 31.

Matters involving real estate or your relationship with a parent will go very well on May 5 and May 6, thanks to the Sun in perfect angle to Jupiter.
