Aries Horoscope for April 2014

You are now in the game-changer month, April, and we will have two of the most important eclipses of the year on April 15 and April 28/29 (depending on your time zone). Before those eclipses occur, you will have an important new moon that will be almost as important and give you a hint of what is to come in early April.
The new moon that occurred hours prior to this month, on March 30, will still be very strong as you enter April. This new moon at 10 degrees Aries was conjunct Uranus, so after this new moon appeared, and continuing through the first half of April, you will have surprising events, especially in regard to one special relationship. I say that because the new moon is in Aries, and Mars governs Aries. Mars is currently found in your one-on-one relationship sector, so the new moon will throw a spotlight on your closest relationship.
Fortunately, Mars is in Libra and will be in perfect angle to Venus in Aquarius, a sign that blends beautifully with yours. The final outcome of this new moon of March 30 should bring good news when it comes to your relationship, even if initially you are not so sure. This sounds like a sweet surprise in matters of romance, or feeling joyful in the company of friends. This new moon of March 30, will, however, be in hard angle to Pluto, suggesting that you might have a difficulty with a high level VIP who will be unexpectedly demanding and bossy in a highly unfair way. If you are self-employed, this person may be your client. Throughout the month, you will need a great deal of independence.
This new moon will encourage you to think about you, and what you want in your life as you move forward in your birthday year. Mars, your ruler, has forced you to work in a highly collaborative mode since last December, but this new moon will give you full opportunity to set your course and to find ways to gain greater satisfaction.
If you have a birthday that falls on March 30, plus or minus four days, or Aries rising 10 degrees, or a natal planet at 10 degrees Aries or Libra, you will feel this new moon the most. Others who do not fit this description will feel the new moon (and it is NOT an eclipse) more mildly.
The first week of April brings two tough days: April 3 and 4, when first the Sun will challenge Uranus, and on the second day, the Sun will challenge Pluto. These are days when your romantic interest, a child, or your client/boss is apt to drive you a little crazy. Do not have key appointments on these days. On April 4, do not present creative work in a presentation or to show a client your progress.
Next we have a total eclipse of the moon in your opposite sign of Libra, on April 15 at 25 degrees, a much stronger vibration than the new moon I just discussed because any eclipse will take the energy of a full moon and multiply times three! (That's my assessment, but it is that way!)
On that eclipse, April 15, we have a near precise cardinal cross in the heavens, a set of four planets at 90 degrees from one another, each planet involved a different cardinal sign: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, respectively ruling fire, water, air, and earth. Cardinal signs are highly energetic, and when you have all four and in harsh angle to each other, each planet's energies bounce around the chart, as inside a covered box, desperately seeking escape, but none can be found - this is very tension producing. Cardinal signs are very energetic, leadership signs that are aligned with the north, south, east, west points of the compass, so these signs define direction. When you have a square pattern, the mold is broken and a new strategy must be formulated. Old patterns of the past won't work any more, and this becomes clear.
This will be a full moon in your house of relationships, so that's where your attention will be drawn, in love or in business. Eclipses are known to bring information to light suddenly and with full disclosure. It is always information that has been previously unknown. The mission of an eclipse is to test the strength of ties - this month you will know how strong your close romantic relationship is, and that will give you a choice to work on improving your alliance or to leave. Alternatively, if your partner is not well or has entered a thorny patch in life, you will also know and will need to offer your wholehearted support.
Nothing is predetermined in astrology as you have free will and can choose your desired outcome. Of course, it takes two people to make a relationship work, so your partner must be willing too. If your relationship is strong, you will need to look at your business partner or expert you hire to help you, like your agent, manager, stylist, publicist, bookkeeper, lawyer, or accountant. Again, you must watch your health and take care of anything that seems amiss, should you notice anything. If your relationship is strong, you may have your hands full with a ruthless competitor. When I speak of a "relationship" I am referring to a long-term relationship - if you just started dating, it is less likely but still possible, simply because the Sun will be challenged and the Sun rules your solar fifth house of love.
The sudden element of an eclipse is why the information is often so shocking at eclipse time - it comes up like a geyser, out of the blue. If you should get news you don't like, realize that eclipses are non-negotiable. Save your dignity and do not try to have the outcome changed. It can't be changed - total lunar eclipses are final. They often bring on highly emotional feelings, as they bring up memories and dreams of the past, and usually a chapter in life ends so that a new chapter can form in its place over time. Protect your health, for if the eclipse cannot find any weaknesses in your relationship, it might find a weakness in your health that would need to be checked and addressed.
Pluto in Capricorn will precisely square (a harsh angle indicating an obstacle will come up) to Uranus, planet of unexpected developments. Pluto will also send the same harsh, square aspect to Mars in your relationship sector, possibly causing difficulties not only in your love life, but with a competitor who will attempt to grab a piece of your pie. Jupiter will oppose Pluto in hard, tug-of-war angle, indicating a need to make a financial correction on an investment or business venture you started a long time ago, as far back as December 11, 2007.
Uranus will be conjunct Mercury on the day of this eclipse, so news will be VERY unexpected and perhaps make you jittery. News you get by telephone, email, or letter (but less likely in person) will be jarring. You will need to think before you respond as you may have the impulse to say more than you should - in real life, in email, or in social media. Your proclivity to say too much may be in response to a criticism you get that you feel is highly unfair. Think through your responses.
If your birthday falls on April 15, plus or minus four days, you will feel this eclipse the most. Similarly, if you have Aries rising at 25 degrees and/or a natal planet at that degree, plus or minus five degrees, you too will feel this eclipse quite directly, but if you don't fit this description, you will not.
I will insert a note here of a potentially angry day, April 23, when your ruler, Mars, will oppose Uranus, a little like two Titans fighting with swords, fire, and explosives. This can have either an explosive emotional or physical manifestation, so I would certainly not bring up a controversial or touchy subject on this day. I would also suggest you avoid all extreme sports, and not do, for example, any bungee jumping or base jumping anywhere near this day. (On a simple level, I would advise my female Aries not to walk around at night in stilettos on cobblestones and broken sidewalks, like in the meatpacking district in New York, or risk winding up in the emergency room.
Eclipses come in pairs, two weeks apart, so the next eclipse, a new moon solar eclipse, will be in Taurus, 9 degrees, on April 28/29, depending on your time zone.
This one will change your source of income or your financial status, for it will fall in your second house of earned income. Ordinarily, a new moon of any sort would open a door and mark a beginning - in this case, in your financial life, by getting a raise or by getting a new source of income.
This eclipse will come with the same level of tough aspects as the April 15 eclipse, however, for this one will also hold a cardinal cross. Mars, your ruler, will receive a direct, 180-degree challenge from Uranus in Aries, bringing more unexpected news from every angle of your chart, including from a partner or open enemy (one who will not try to hide his identity). This is a confrontational aspect from a bully. Again Pluto will be opposite Jupiter, again suggesting that a financial correction may again be due. Jupiter opposite Pluto corrects excesses, especially financial ones. A boss you loved (and may have taken the job to work with her) may leave without warning, making you feel a little bit like an orphan with no top manager to care for you.
I still think you may find a new source of income, so keep your eyes open after the new moon solar eclipse arrives. You will have to get over obstacles, but I feel you CAN find a way to make more money. Mercury will receive a lovely beam from Jupiter, which suggests if you have to buy something expensive, you may be able to barter the price and come out quite satisfied with the outcome.
The eclipse will be in Taurus, bringing Venus into the conversation because Venus rules Taurus, and Venus will be too far away on April 28 for Jupiter to make a tight mathematical aspect. Still, the final outcome of events might be positive, even if it takes weeks for the eclipse to deliver its final news. Eclipses are not like a new or full moon - they are much stronger, and they take longer to fully state their messages.
Each eclipse seems to have a second act, so don't pronounce things as "good" or "bad" until you have waited awhile to see what comes of the eclipse. We must have faith in the wisdom of the universe, dear Aries. Fortunately you have nerves of steel, for this month we all will be rolling up and down on rocky seas. Have faith in your intelligence and resourcefulness - if you do, you will outwit events, which is, ultimately, the entire point of difficult aspects.
Summary
It's birthday month, and you want to have fun - you can, but you need to plan your days carefully. April will not be easy, so do your best to keep your schedule flexible so that you can shift with prevailing winds. The month starts off rocky with Uranus standing next to the Sun, testing a love relationship. If anything is amiss with your partner, you will know it for sure, later, by the full moon lunar eclipse in Libra on April 15.
Some Aries will need to talk and gently fix a relationship that has come off the rails, while other Aries will see that the problem is larger than originally supposed, and it will take a lot of time to untangle what has gone wrong. Other Aries may want to leave entirely. Alternatively, if your relationship is strong, you may find that your partner is going through a personal crisis and will need all the support you have to give.
Eclipses bring tests and beg for corrections, but if the eclipse finds no weakness at all, it will have only a mild effect. Not all Aries will feel the eclipse directly, but if your birthday falls near April 15, your probability will be tense near April 15. Think of an eclipse as a force of change, for the mission of an eclipse is to bring important news to your attention. Keep up your health, as that eclipse will drain you, and you will need to stay strong and alert to cope with all you have to do. Occasionally, an eclipse will show a health concern you never knew about - in this case the eclipse will try to help you.
A difficult day is likely to be April 23, when your ruler, Mars will directly oppose Uranus, the planet of news you'd never expect. Mars may bring strife or mishaps, so listen carefully to what your partner says to you and also pay attention to your surroundings. Try not to let anyone make you lose your temper - easier said than done.
Eclipses always come in pairs - the second one, April 28/29 (depending on your time zone), will bring a new moon solar eclipse, and this one may change the way you earn your income in the future. You may change jobs, or get a promotion and move to a different department of your present company. If you are self-employed, you may lose one client but will soon gain another in weeks ahead. Watch and wait for news, but not initiate any new, important ventures. You may be poised to buy something expensive, but do your best to avoid the days surrounding the eclipses, for your judgment will likely be off.
If you are single and looking for love, you would do best to wait for better days. Late July and August will bring spectacular romantic opportunity. Ideally, if you can lease a cottage for a week or more at a seaside resort - one where singles like to gather - you would be making the very best use of your time.
If you are attached, you will need to see if the April 15 eclipse brings any important information to light about your close relationship, romantic or business in nature. By the time April closes, you will know where you stand and what you need to do next.

Aries Dates to Note
Most Romantic Dates: Attached Aries may find April difficult for romance. For the first time I am not going to recommend any romantic days in April. Single Aries may be preoccupied with difficulties too.
The new moon of March 30 (still operative in the first 10 days) is a good time to get unstuck. Try new methods and look into opportunities that might not have interested you in the past.
You will have a high need for independence and space during the first week of April.
April 3 is not a day to challenge your boss, because Pluto will be in hard angle to the Sun.
Mars, your ruler, is still retrograde, and will turn direct May 19. You may find making progress on a dream project or aim will go a little slower than usual.
To deal with tensions this month, use sports and other physical activity at the gym.
Pluto will go retrograde on April 14, making it a little harder for you to forge into new career territory, so for now, when it comes to professional interests, concentrate on executives from your past who you know to get work. After September 22, you can look for work with people you do not know.
The full moon lunar eclipse of April 15 is a monster. Expect a change in a close romantic or business relationship or in regard to your health.
You may receive a large check April 17, or settle on a large fee, thanks to the cooperation of Venus and Jupiter.
Mars will oppose Uranus on April 22-23 a potential hot day, and one where you will need to avoid a potential angry confrontation. Also, avoid extreme sports this day.
The new moon solar eclipse of April 28/29 will likely change your source of income or bring an expense.
Good news regarding your home could occur on April 29, thanks to the interplay of Mercury and Jupiter. Your parent may send you a check.
