Career success is deeply important to you, and so this month will be as delicious as homemade chocolate chip cookies, fresh from the oven. You have not seen a month that emphasizes career quite like this in ages, and opportunities that surface will be positively thrilling.

First, I need to remind you that Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, recently changed signs on September 9, when this planet entered Libra. That event was extremely important because Jupiter has not been in Libra since the year that spanned September 2004-October 2005. Jupiter in Libra will light the very top of your chart, the tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. As my mother, Little Mom, used to tell me (she taught me astrology), you can have the best aspects possible – as you do now – but you must have a new moon in the appropriate sign and place to unlock all the goodness.

Sometimes we have to wait an entire year to get that new moon. Remarkably, you HAVE that perfect new moon now, so this is a truly extraordinary month. Most new moons are mixed, with some sweet aspects along with not-so-good ones. Again, you are hitting the jackpot – this new moon glitters in every way possible, with no drawbacks at all. Let’s look closer.

On September 30, just hours prior to the dawning of October, the most divine new moon of 2016 will appear. It will be special for each sign, but each sign will experience its benefits differently. For Capricorn, you will get extraordinary opportunity in your career. This is the house that the ancient astrologers referred to as the house of dignity, and that reflects your standing in the industry and the world.

My Little Mom used to tell me that this is the place that also reflects one’s ultimate contribution to the world in your lifetime. I want you to take this gorgeous new moon seriously – you can find your vocation now, if you haven’t yet. If you have, you can now make your move to pull away from the pack and assume your rightful place at the head of the table. This magnificent new moon will arrive with an amazing entourage: Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, and with the mighty Sun, giver of vitality and strength. The Sun will take the goodness of Jupiter and multiply it many times over.

A new moon will always set up approximately eleven days of energy, with the best energy coming early on. Each passing day brings a gradually weaker influence of the new moon. By the time that new moon’s energy gets to approximately eleven days from the date it appeared, it gets close to the full moon (this month that’s October 16), all the new moon’s energy by then is spent. That’s when the full moon takes over.

Here is an important point: the actions you take directly after a new moon are vital for your future. Plant seeds – you don’t have to actually grasp your dream in the new moon periods, but you do have to start the process. What you do during that potent eleven-day period will have the power to affect your life positively for the coming YEAR.

Now that Jupiter is at your side, you will begin to make the acquaintance of VIPs who will want to help you. You will have to know precisely what you would like certain VIPs to do for you. One other special day for your professional interests will be Wednesday, October 26, when Venus and Jupiter will be in sync. Use this day to give yourself an edge in any career action you plan to take.

A day NOT to sign contracts or to do anything important for your career will be October 20 and October 28, when Mercury will oppose Uranus in the first instance and Mars will be at odds with Uranus in the second instance.

As you move through the month, several pieces of your puzzle will fall into place. All year, you’ve had Mars, the action planet, in Sagittarius (since March 5 to September 27), holding you in a kind of limbo, for you were working in behind-the-scenes preparation for an important venture you would announce soon. It seems all year you were tweaking and readying the project for the entire world to see when you would make an important announcement or introduce a key product / service that you’ve been working on.

Now, Mars moves to Capricorn, to stay until November 8. This is just where you need Mars to be, for Mars in your sign will impart energy, determination, and drive. This month, you won’t take no for an answer, nor should you! Your passion for all you hope to do will carry you forward.

Energy attracts more energy, and that’s why the ancient astrologers wrote that having Mars in your sign is a big advantage You will go to the mat over a cause you believe in, the reason you will have a much higher than usual percentages of successes. The full moon in Aries, October 16, will force you to switch your attention away from your career for several days when your home or a parent or other close relative will require attention, quickly. The moon will be conjunct Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, so the news will come up suddenly and in an unexpected way. You may be thinking about a beloved female relative, and it would likely have to do with your mother, or someone you think of as a mother.

On the other hand, the situation at hand may not be about a person, but rather have to do with your physical home, or other real estate you may own or manage. The Sun is involved but under stress, so you will likely have to find funds to improve the situation. Your partner, in business or in love, may also be involved in this entire situation, but will not be helpful but rather will act in an unpredictable, possibly jarring way.

Having Uranus conjunct the moon is enough to add instability and possible shock, but having Pluto and Mars in the middle between the Sun and full moon and Uranus, all at 90 degrees, a difficult, harsh aspect, denotes obstacles. This looks to be a heavy-duty situation. Both Mars and Pluto are in Capricorn, so you will have a role in this situation, yet Pluto and Mars are known to exert a forceful, scorched earth method of combat when stressed (as these planets will be mid-month), so you may go too far to win, using a bat when a delicate fly swatter would do the trick.

The home or family-related matter that comes up will be urgent, but once addressed, will simmer down as quickly as it came up. If your birthday falls on January 13, plus or minus four days, you will feel this full moon. I felt I should tell you, so that you won’t be broadsided by events. Do not have too packed a schedule mid-month, for you will need to detach from what you are doing and attend to what comes up.

Happily, the month will end on a breezy, social note. The new moon of October 29 is sure to be fun, and romantic too. It will bring you in contact with many happy people, some of whom will be friends, and others who will be new to you. Neptune will be beautifully angled, so you may travel to attend an event, but if so, the town or city you go to will be fairly close, and within a day’s drive.

This new moon comes over the weekend that many people will be giving Halloween parties, and if you get invited, you must go. Neptune is the planet of creativity and the costumes will be outstanding.
