Career success, money management and exciting travel possibilities will form major themes for you in February. This is a big month, for eclipse season will be in full swing. Eclipses bring fast moving events, and sometimes adjustments, but the eclipses this month will be remarkably positive, bringing lots of good news. A full moon lunar eclipse will occur on February 10 in Leo and a new moon solar eclipse will occur on February 26 in Pisces. With each eclipse, surprise news and opportunities will come up that you will later say you did not see coming but that will push you forward and alter your lifestyle in a bright, positive way. It’s a big month, so let’s get started. I have so much to tell you!

Money will occupy your thoughts as the month begins and continue through the entire first half of February. That’s partly due to the encouraging new moon of late last month, January 27, that stimulated your eighth house of other people’s money. That house covers such things as company benefits, bonus, commission, insurance payouts, credit, venture capital, and other sums (or valuable perks) that comes to you outside of salary.

You may also be motivated to study your recent spending over the course of last year to decide what areas can be tightened up and identify the areas that might need to be expanded. For example, you might want to call your insurance broker and go over your health, car, and homeowners (or renters) insurance, to see if you have enough insurance, or are carrying too much if your lifestyle has changed. The first part of February is also a great time to get your receipts organized for your accountant to file your taxes.

A different part of your chart rules you own salary and saving, and that is your second house of earned income. That house will light up as a result of the February 10 full moon lunar eclipse in Leo, 23 degrees. A regular full moon is powerful in its own right and usually brings a sense of closure, but a full moon lunar eclipse often brings events of monumental importance. On or after February 10, you may be making a big purchase (such as for a house), paying off a debt or mortgage, or simply paying many bills. Or, you may be seeing a major change in the source of your income, a common occurrence as a result of an eclipse in your second house of earned income. If you work for others, for example, you may have already changed jobs recently and will now see your first paycheck near February 10. If you are self-employed, you may now bring in a new client who will supplement your income in a substantial way. No doubt about it, this month will put a strong emphasis on your finances.

I am very excited about your prospects for making more money this month. Jupiter, in your home sector until October 10, is sending sparkling vibrations to the eclipse, February 10, so you may make a lot of money selling property, furniture, and other home-related accoutrements, or you may receive money from your family. It is also possible you will make money from a tenant. Planet of surprise, Uranus will be helpful, in lovely angle to this new moon, so you may be amazed when you land a victory in your career, too, in the time near February 10. That career success will earn you quite a bit of cash.

Mars is now in your reputation sector, called the house of dignity by ancient astrologers, for it is the place in the chart that allows your leadership talents to shine. It is also the part of the chart that allows you to give back to society in a tangible way in your profession. You’ve waited two years to have Mars light your tenth house of honors and achievement, and now that you have Mars, a trend that started January 28 and will continue until March 9, you can harness Mars’ energy to your benefit. You will get the attention of VIPs now, and you can make much progress. Mars’ presence suggests you are starting an entirely new professional cycle now, and with all the energy Mars is giving you, you are likely to do very well indeed.

Venus will be orbiting shoulder-to-shoulder in your career house, an indication of how popular you are with management. If you are self-employed, you can find ways to generate exciting publicity for your recent successes. Uranus is in that house too, adding an element of impulse, surprise, and change to your career – you will see evidence of this now but also next month, at the new moon March 27. Although Uranus can add volatility to your life, that won’t likely be the case now. The reason I say that is stabilizing Saturn will work with closely with Uranus, and together, help you to build a firm foundation to your career. You’ve had a lot of reversals and upsets in your career since Uranus entered this part of your chart in 2011, but 2017 will be different, allowing you to build a new and comforting sense of security. (Saturn and Uranus rarely work together like this – after 2017, they won’t again until 2047.)

Now we come to two dates that are likely to stand out for you this month: February 21 and February 23, and in both cases, you may travel for profit. Mercury, the planet of agreements, contracts, negotiation, writing, and lecturing, as well as public speaking and travel, will receive glittering vibrations from Jupiter on February 21. Jupiter is currently in your fourth house of home, so you are likely to make a profitable deal on these dates­ related to home or real estate.

On February 21, Mercury and Jupiter will be beautifully angled, allowing your work to bring you favor from higher ups, especially in the areas of publishing, broadcasting, travel, shipping, diplomacy, the courts, or through the import or export of goods, services, or ideas to people in foreign lands.

February 23 is a dazzler too, for Mercury will team up with Saturn to create stability and long-term gain from an action you choose to do on this day. If you don’t want to wait this long in February, you do have a lovely date, February 13, too, when the Sun and Saturn will be in rare cooperation.

Your home sector is ruled by Libra, and Libra is ruled by Venus. This is my way of telling you to move heaven and earth complete any property deal in February and not let things go until March or April. Venus will retrograde from March 5 to April 15, making it a very bad time to close on a house or sign a rental agreement. Get it done this month – try hard to make it happen. Venus will not return to former strength until May 18. If moving forward that quickly is not possible, then identify the end of May, June, or beyond to do so. I am worried that you may run into problems in April anyway, due to a difficult full moon April 10, plus or minus five days.

The end of the month, at the February 26 solar eclipse, you will have the Sun, new moon, Neptune, and Mercury all crowded into your ninth house of distant, exciting travel. This eclipse will open up possibilities for going away for any reason, for business or pleasure. This eclipse will come arm-in-arm with Neptune, adding an enchanting element to all that occurs at this time. (Okay, I will admit that Neptune can sometimes bring his fog and bring not-so-clear thinking at this time, so don’t sign a contract on or near February 26 – do so earlier, on the dates mentioned, February 21 or 23, for best results.)

If you can take time off, choose a place near water, ice, or snow, for planets in Pisces will see that you have a wonderful time. If you can’t go away, you may be hungry for knowledge, so you may be taking a class (or group of classes in college or graduate school), and the ones that have to do with creativity, design, poetry, music, art, film, theatrical lighting, set design, photography and cinematography, are all ruled by Pisces. These planets will stimulate your right brain where imagery and symbolism is based, so by all means, put time in a creative project and see what develops.

If you have a Cancer birthday that falls within four days of June 29, you will benefit in an outstanding way from events that follow from the solar eclipse February 26. In similar fashion, if you have Cancer rising 8 degrees, the natal moon in Cancer 8 degrees, or a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Cancer, or Capricorn at 8 degrees – give your natal planet, moon, or rising sign a plus or minus five degrees – you will benefit in a big way form the solar eclipse too.

On the same day as this eclipse, February 26, but unrelated to it, Mars will conjoin Uranus in your tenth house of fame, bringing an unpredictable development. It might be positive or not so positive, but it is impossible to tell when Uranus is involved. Avoid bringing up a controversial or risky idea on or near February 26, simply because talks could go either way in the extreme – either deliriously celebratory or a quite disastrous. Mars rules your professional reputation and Uranus rules your income from such areas as commissions, bonus, licensing fees, benefits, and court and legal settlements, and the two will be joined in the news.

No discussion of this month will be complete without a nod to Valentine’s Day, due Tuesday, February 14. Venus, however, is not quite cooperating, nor is the Sun. The transiting moon will be in Libra, not your best placement. I prefer the weekend of February 11-12, when the transiting moon will be in Virgo, a far better place for the moon to be for you. I also like travel near February 26, so if you find February 14 is not convenient for celebrating the love you feel for someone close, consider the weekend of February 25-26, when the transiting moon will be in divine-for-you sign of Pisces. If you can travel together, that would be fantastic.

Your career will take your full attention, and throughout your meetings and interviews, you’ll be viewed as a winner. You have both Venus and Mars at the tip-top of your chart in early February, a sure sign of popularity with higher-ups and with influential people whose support you need.
