You are entering September in a good place. The full moon of August 26 was likely to be romantic, festive, or great fun, for the full moon brilliantly lit your fifth house of love, leisure, travel, culture, and fun with children. It also accented your creative talents. Chances are, you found ways to forget career cares for a while, and will return to work feeling refreshed.
You will turn your mind back to work, of course, but your time to have fun with friends will continue and might even joyfully intensify after the new moon, September 9, in Virgo 17 degrees.
In the days that follow, you will be ready to mix with lots of happy people, some of whom you know, and some you won’t. Business associates will mix well with friends and new contacts, and you will enjoy the lively energy at play in the week of September 9 to 15. It is the right time to make an effort to expand your circle of new friends and acquaintances.
This new moon of September 9 will get support from Jupiter in Scorpio and your ruler, Pluto, in Capricorn, which is your third house of communication. You have such a sensational chart in September! This time, the new moon, Sun, and Mercury, all in Virgo, your friendship house, will send a beam to Uranus, planet of lightening bolt surprise, in your partnership house of Taurus, and to Pluto in Capricorn, your house of travel and contractual matters. A festive event, friends, and a collaborator (who might be a person or an entire company that you work closely with in a joint venture or joint promise) will bring outstanding good fortune and happiness.
If your birthday falls on November 9, plus or minus four days, you will be in ideal position to take advantage of this sparkling new moon. The same is true if you have Scorpio rising 17 degrees, plus or minus four degrees, or if you have a natal planet at 17 degrees in Scorpio, Cancer, or Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, with the same tolerance of plus or minus four degrees.

Short note to professional astrologers: The date September 11 is the day prior to the precise sextile of Jupiter and Pluto, falling in New York at 3:55 AM. As you know, an aspect must be captured as it is building, not deflating and separating. People in Europe, Asia, Australia, Turkey, and other countries outside the US will be able to catch the glow on September 12, but in the US, the aspect will already be on the decline due to our time zones here.
Back to my discussion of this glorious day for you, dear Scorpio. Jupiter and Pluto have been meeting frequently this year. They made a decisive aspect on January 15, April 14, and now on September 11. Pluto takes 248 years to revolve around the Sun, and Jupiter takes 12 years to make the same journey, so you see how hard it is to get a perfect mathematical hit. These two powerhouse planets will be 60 degrees apart precisely on September 11, which is called a sextile, and indicates an extraordinary financial opportunity, so you should use this day for an important purpose.
After this, these two planets won’t combine forces for the rest of 2018 and also not at all in 2019. Use September 11 to your advantage, dear Scorpio.
Also on September 11, as if you had to have even more to cheer about, you have Jupiter in perfect trine to the Sun, and Pluto, your ruler, will also be trine the Sun. Oh my goodness, a trine is the best aspect you can get in astrology! The Sun rules your career, so some sort of honor, award, or promotion is likely to come your way in the days leading up to this day, or the few days that follow September 11.
Friends, acquaintances, and casual contacts are about to play a much larger than usual role in your life this month. Mercury rules your eleventh house of friendship and is meeting with an unusual number of planets this month. There is some indication you may also receive a bonus or additional money as a result of what happens.
Mercury will meet with Uranus on September 7, bubbling up lots of surprises. Friends will be exciting, lively, and funny this day. Don’t be alone – go out and find something to celebrate on Friday, September 7!
Over the weekend of September 15-16, Mercury will first speak with Pluto, then with Jupiter. That will be an ideal weekend for travel, especially if you go a short distance. Splurge on beautiful accommodations and enjoy a touch of luxury. If friends live where you are headed, that would make your time away even more special. It is alternatively possible that you will be attending a friend’s engagement party, wedding, baby shower, anniversary or birthday party, a charity event, or even a professional conference. Whatever you do this weekend, it seems it will be quite special and memorable.
Devote September 23 to work on your apartment or house to make it more comfortable and inviting. If you need a new place to live, this would be the weekend to browse spaces, as Mercury and your other ruler, Mars, will be in perfect sync in a trine position (the best you can get). If you like, you can go to a flea market for bargain finds or shop for furniture or other home-related items – you are likely to find something that delights you, and the item might be on sale or even at a bargain price.
Speaking of your home, you’ve had a large emphasis on your home ever since Mars, your other ruling planet, entered Aquarius on May 15. You may have been thinking of moving, renovating, painting, or doing other things, but because Mars went retrograde soon after, from June 26, to August 12, you didn’t come to any definite conclusion about what you wanted to do about your home-related question and when you would do it.
That may change now that Mars turned direct at the end of August, and will remain in the same home-and-family oriented part of your chart until November 15. Your plan seems to becoming sharper and more defined now, as Mars is energized and ramping up to get to his former strength, which will happen October 8. Still, you won’t have to wait that long – each day in September Mars will become stronger. You will notice the difference, as the pace will pick up noticeably. Continue to do your research, and keep an eye on the new moon that will arrive five months from now, on February 4, for a possible breakthrough. You may find what you like sooner and move or begin renovations in early February.
Note: It is possible that you found what you wanted on the eclipse July 27, but there were so many problems associated with that full moon that I believe you may not have made your decision then, for it seemed that things were not clicking into place.
Mars will be in a tough position on September 18, a day you’ll want to avoid at all costs, for active Mars will clash in an angry way with Uranus, planet of unanticipated events. These two planets have fought on May 16, August 1, and now again, September 18.
Mars at 90-degrees to Uranus is the same aspect that is causing so many fires, volcanoes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. This is a violent aspect. For you, make sure the electrical wiring in your home is safe and not overloaded. Do not leave candles burning in a room unattended, and unplug electronic items when you leave to travel.
Romantically, you will have Venus in Scorpio from September 9, to January 7, an inordinately long time for Venus to stay in one sign. The reason is that Venus is about to go retrograde from October 5, to November 16, so while Venus will be weak in Scorpio during that time, you will have a strong Venus in Scorpio throughout holiday time in December, allowing you to turn heads and thoroughly enjoy the holiday season.
As luck would have it, Mercury will go retrograde the day Venus goes direct, November 16, and will stay retrograde until December 6. Last year, Mercury, the planet governing electronics, shipping, travel, and all commerce (including shopping for holiday gifts), was retrograde from December 3 to December 22. That made last year a hard time to buy gifts and also a hard time to travel. This year will be a big improvement, so that is something to cheer about.
Knowing October and November have crosscurrents, and that September will be glorious for you (except for September 18), get as much done in September as possible.
The planets we feel the most when retrograde are Mercury, Mars, and Venus, because those are the ones that orbit closest to earth. Venus retrograde is not the best time to start a new romantic relationship, nor is it a time to make radical changes to your appearance, such as, for men or women to schedule plastic surgery, to ask your dentist to put veneers on your teeth, or for women to change the color and cut of their hair. Doing regular grooming is, of course, fine to do at any time.
The mood of the month turns more serious at the full moon, September 24, in Aries two degrees. You appear to be working hard on finishing up an assignment at work, but this one is arduous. Saturn will press down on that full moon, and you will feel the weight of responsibility on your shoulders. Details will count, and because there appears to be many moving parts to this project (some of which are out of your control), you will have to concentrate hard to bring this project all the way home.
If you have to travel to see a client on or within four days of the full moon, September 24, your client will negotiate for some radical chances in the deal, making this trip turn out harder than it should be. (Travel is not the only area that the moon rules in your chart – the list includes legal matters, academic mattes, a media project involving broadcasting, publishing, or the Internet, and immigration / foreign people and places, so any one of these areas may come up as important for you to do.)
The Sun is involved in this full moon and rules your tenth house of fame and honors, so you will be working hard to uphold your reputation. This full moon is a strenuous one for everyone, so don’t feel singled out, dear Scorpio. You have Mars coming to the rescue, so keep the faith that you can turn this task into one that shines, astounding everyone around you.

The end of August was a special time for you, for you have just experienced a romantic episode with someone new or with the one you have always loved. You may have gone on a sumptuous trip or to a party or other festive event. Or, you may have experienced an extraordinarily happy experience with a child.
It’s rare for you to take your eyes off the road – you are a very dedicated worker, and by nature you are quite savvy in business – but everyone occasionally needs to let go (even you) to get in touch with the softer, more emotional side of life. The full moon of August 26 accomplished that and has made you more eager to socialize and make new friends. If you have been holed up in your office, with your head glued to your computer screen, last month’s full moon showed you the joys of coming out of your shell. Your sign loves privacy but sometimes you need to remind yourself that there is a big world out there, ready for you to explore on any level or any way you like.
The new moon of September 9 will open a portal of two weeks that will be purely social. You may travel to see friends, or you may take a journey with a friend to an exciting distant point – either would turn out to be quite delicious. If you are married, your partner is likely to get along exceptionally well with your friends, even if this has not always been so in the past.
From September 9 to January 7, Venus will glide through your sign, Scorpio, making you the favorite sign of this planet of love. The usual tour of Venus typically lasts one month, but the reason you will feel the dazzling rays of Venus in Scorpio for many months is that she will be in retrograde orbit from October 5 to November 16. Once she emerges from retrograde, she will give you from November 16 to January 7, 2019, to be full power in Scorpio, a long visit, as thanks for your patience.

A residential matter, or one involving family, will be inflamed and difficult to fix. Someone connected with your home is not about to be logical and reasonable, so don’t tempt fate – the less said the better on September 18. From a physical standpoint, be sure you don’t overload electrical sockets, never leave candles burning unattended, and make sure walkways are clear of toys or other items at night.
Through most of the month, financial news should be positive. A tip from a friend about a career matter on September 7 may lead to a tidy sum of money. On September 13, 15, or 16 you may find accord and sign papers on a lucrative deal.
Yet, it would be hard to beat the fabulous coming financial aspects you have on September 11, when Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will team up with Pluto, your ruling planet. Pluto will take the goodness of Jupiter and multiply this planet’s goodness many times over.
In a separate set of aspects on the same day, September 11, the Sun will also contact Jupiter and Pluto, ensuring your career reputation will shine brightly. VIPs will adore you, for good reason – your work is excellent and above reproach. If you need to sign an important contract or shake hands on a key deal, September 11 will be the day for you to do it. It’s also the day to have an important interview or make a presentation.
By September 24, you seem to be finishing up an important project that appears to have been quite strenuous to complete. Pressure will be on you to finish, and you will, but doing so might take a lot out of you. Saturn, the teacher-taskmaster planet, will be in hard angle to both the Sun and moon, suggesting that you will be aware of your high profile now and that your reputation will rest on how well you perform on this task.
A foreign person or location appears to be involved with this full moon, or you may need to the finish a publishing piece or broadcasting segment, and the demands on you to be accurate, articulate, and clear will be considerable. Mars, your secondary ruler, will be beautifully conversant with the Sun, proving once again that you can pull a rabbit out of a hat when necessary. Your fears of not being able to measure up to this tall challenge will be unfounded, but that fear will nevertheless drive you to do your best work. That will be apparent and will be why VIPs will always want you in their corner.
The month will near an end on a superb note, September 27, when the Sun and Mars, your ruler, will work together flawlessly to find ways to benefit you. Family will want to help you in any way you need, and your career will bring good news. Furthermore, home-related changes and improvements will click into place almost effortlessly. Can’t life always be this way? I guess not, but while it is, use September 27 to your full advantage!
