A Note from Susan Miller

February 2018

I was thinking of an interesting question today. What quality do you have now that when you were little, growing up, you never assumed you’d have in you? It may be that as you matured, you took on new facets to your personality that you found favorable, and were surprised to say were part of you. That has happened to me…

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

You are moving into one of the best parts of 2018. You might already have sensed that this is true, being the prescient creature that you are, and if so, you would be right. You have things to do before you reach the most glorious full moon of the year (March 1) and the best new moon in Pisces (March 17). Over past years, the universe has tested you, prodded you, pushed you, and now in the glorious days to come, will reward you with happiness.

As you begin February you have the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in your twelfth house, so your intuition will be very strong. You will benefit from what your psyche is telling you. Don’t be concerned if others don’t believe what you say about what you sense is coming, or don’t quite share your point of view. The joy of being Pisces is being ahead of the crowd, and like the artist you have inside you, you know trends that are coming before others do. You might be curious about meditation now, and find it soothing and just right for you to get involved in doing.

I go to the Four Seasons a lot in Los Angeles on Doheny Drive (it is my favorite hotel in the world), and when you are a guest there and turn on the TV in the room, instead of hearing someone shouting about all the new movies you can buy, beautiful photographs of nature come up on the screen. A man who sounds like Deepak Chopra guides you through a start-of-the-day meditation. I have always felt settled inside, never have the problem of trying to calm a racing mind, so I had never tried meditation. Still, I was intrigued. I started to follow along, and now, at home, I miss that wonderful way of starting the day. Listening to this man’s voice encouraged me to think about what I wanted to achieve in the day. I have always done this on my own – knowing exactly what I wanted to achieve that day before it ended, going back to my childhood, but I liked the way the meditation was presented. Looking at your chart, I think you would like the soothing effects of meditation this month, too.

At the very least, take time to get extra rest and schedule some fun, too. You have a lot of changes spinning around you, for this month there are two eclipses. You will want to be strong as you enter next month, for March will be one of the finest months of 2018.

Eclipses are the most dramatic and quickest way that the universe uses to create change. The universe cannot abide stagnation. The planets are always on the move, and all of us must be too. Most of the time you make changes on your own, but if you have been stuck in an unhappy, unproductive situation too long, the universe will step in to get things going again.

The interesting part about an eclipse is that events going on in the outside world, in which you have no involvement and sometimes no knowledge of either, suddenly causes a chain reaction to trigger change in your life, too. Think about this as the eclipses come by this month and see how this might be true for you now.

As you start March, a full moon lunar eclipse will arrive in Leo. Technically it arrived at the end of last month, January 31, in Leo, 12 degrees, in your sixth house of work project and health. You may have been rushing to finish a big project and concentrating to do a good job on it, too. Things you do at eclipse time have extra weight and promise for the future, so think about an assignment you were (or still are) finishing. Your chart shows that project has legs, and will take you to new assignments related to that one down the road. The January 31 eclipse received strong and positive vibrations from Mars, the action planet, so you were busy and motivated to make a name for yourself.

Speaking of Mars, this lively, vibrant planet is set to give you a competitive edge in all career matters in February and part of March. Mars recently entered your tenth house of fame and honors on January 26 and will remain there until March 17. Mars will not be back to help you in such a powerful way again until January 2020. While you have such an outstanding professional edge, use it! Keep in mind too that Mercury will retrograde from March 22 to April 15, so make hay while the sun shines!

On February 13, you may hear, very suddenly, that more money is on the way to you, thanks to a new assignment or new business you generated. Most Pisces like to be self-employed, so it will be good news that your finances are looking up. This day brings you surprises and happy outcomes, and they seem to stem from a confidential meeting you will schedule on this day, or that concerns a secret project.

The next eclipse, a new moon solar eclipse, February 15 in Aquarius 27 degrees, will again have you thinking about how to best care for your mind, body, and spirit. If you have psychological concerns or a substance dependency that you would like to end, this eclipse can help you. It will light your twelfth house of the subconscious. Eclipses not only bring opportunity but the right motivation to get started. If you want help, you can get it.

This same part of the chart rules solitude and places of healing and confinement such as hospitals, rehab centers, physical therapy centers, and so forth. If you feel you should finally have the operation or dental work that your medical professional has been urging you to do, February would be a fine month to get it done, especially after February 15.

The sixth house also rules the preventative measures you take to care for your health, so you may decide to visit your doctor to get a checkup and to ask about taking vitamins you might need. You may also vow to be more active, by walking more or by signing up at the gym for group fitness classes that sound interesting.

If you caught the flu, which appears to be everywhere, if you got sick near the full moon, it would go away quickly. Still, it is a scary flu, so see a doctor if you have a fever or are not getting well in the time you assumed you would. Colds and other conditions that you catch or have to deal with near a full moon tend to improve more quickly than those you catch at a new moon – those linger for weeks.

The delicious side of February is that it will be a month of great creative expression for you. The solar eclipse of February 15 will urge you to take time alone to tinker with a current creative project, or to dream up new ones. All your planets are whispering to you, “take time away to be alone, to think, to meditate, to pray, and to plan.” You are entering into a fantastic period – you need to get ready for it.

Romantically, your stars are twinkling overhead, just for you. Venus, the love planet, will enter Pisces, the finest place for Venus to be, not only for you, but also for everyone. In Pisces, Venus can express her deepest feelings of love and compassion, allowing your feelings to dive to the very bottom of the sea of love. Astrologers call this placement of Venus in Pisces “exalted.” You thought that any sign and constellation is a good place for Venus to travel though, right? I assumed the same thing, too, before I studied astrology. It’s not so – Venus in Pisces is heavenly and the very best place for Venus to be.

Venus will stay in Pisces all through February until March 6. During this time, buy new clothes and jewelry, and see about changing your look. Women Pisces, look into trying new makeup colors and textures and a new signature perfume. Venus will make you hypnotically magnetic so you won’t have to try too hard to get the attention of your partner or the right admirer. You will turn heads now, for you will positively radiate.

I love February 21, for on this glamorous day Neptune and Venus will conjoin for the first and only time this year. Go to a spa or a salon to have a treatment, and buy something that new makes you feel like a million dollars. Then go out that evening and see what the world holds for you. If you are attached, you must plan a special dinner with your partner.

If you want to be with friends, the weekend of February 24-25 would be ideal. Saturn and the Sun will be collaborating on your behalf, and so if you have a party or dinner with your friends, you all will bond closely together in a special way. Saturn will make sure you remember this weekend a long time, possibly forever.

If you need to sign a contract, do so on February 25 or 26, when all systems are go. February 25 is a Sunday and brings you the pairing of the mighty Sun and Saturn, the planet that favors long-term agreements. If Sunday is not a good day to sign, you can do so on Monday, February 26, when the Sun and Saturn will still be close, and the transiting moon will receive a fortunate signal from Jupiter, planet of good luck and profits.

At month’s end, you come to the very best part of the month. A group of heavenly bodies will be gathering in Pisces – the mighty Sun, ethereal Neptune, beauty-oriented Venus, and newsy Mercury. From his perch in Scorpio, Jupiter will be shining rays of good fortune to all of these happy planets in Pisces. The full moon (not an eclipse) will be building in strength as it moves to fullness March 1. This full moon will shine in your opposite sign of Virgo, and you will only have eyes only for one person, the partner you love. I love that Jupiter and Venus will be in a trance together, showering you with shimmering vibrations.

This full moon of March 1 is the only one of 2018 to light your house of marriage, so it would be an ideal time for an engagement or wedding, for on the days surrounding March 1, your actions will receive a flurry of sparkling stardust.

All full moons have a plus four days of influence, bringing you to a memorable, magical weekend of March 3-4. With Neptune conjunct the Sun, the aura of this full moon will be other-worldly. Any event you give or attend is likely to be soft, poetic, and lyrical, possibly filled with flowers, good food and wine, music, and perfume. Guests will love the dream-like state – it will be a night to remember.

If you are not in love, but want to be, make a plan to be out and about in the evening on or within five days of this full moon, March 1. You might meet someone who is quite wonderful and who you may feel is marriage material – someone you could easily imagine bringing home to introduce to your parents.

If your birthday falls on March 1, plus or minus five days, you will partake of this elegant full moon. The same is true if you have Pisces rising, or the natal moon in Pisces within five degrees of 11 degrees. Also if you know your natal chart, see if you have a planet at 11 degrees (or within five degrees) of Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn – that planet will be lit up too, and will partake of these golden vibrations.

If in the course of your work, you need to make an agreement with an agent, manager, publicist, makeup artist, creative director, editor, writing partner, social media expert, or other collaborator who will work on a one-on-one way with you, crystallize your agreement at this full moon March 1, plus or minus five days. This person will help you succeed, for this full moon will see to it that he or she does – your timing could not be more perfect.

Dear Pisces, the end of February and March will be your time to shine. The new moon in Pisces due March 17 and the days that follow it will be just as heavenly. At the end of 2018, I am sure you will say that the end of February and March were special – your favorite of the year.

Summary

When looking at the structure of a year, we always have to pay attention to the eclipses, for those cosmic events are key harbingers of what is come. The universe cannot abide stagnation, for the planets are always on the move, sending signals and creating many different opportunities. The full moon lunar eclipse that occurred just one day prior to February on January 31 may have brought one of your assignments to fullness, but if not, it looks like you will finish things up within the first four days of February. Watch carefully the future implications of having finished that project, for that particular one may bring you more opportunities to shine in the future.

The eclipse was in Leo, so this assignment may have involved the entertainment industry, the arts, or matters related to the luxury market or an industry that caters to children. Eclipses bring events that are far from ordinary – that assignment will likely point to a new path. Mark the moment and in future weeks and months, in hindsight, think about how all that happened at the end of January or early February relates to what came to you next.

Another eclipse will arrive now. This time it will arrive as a new moon solar eclipse in Aquarius, February 15. The ruler of Aquarius is Uranus, and happily, transiting Uranus will be unusually friendly. You are likely to have confidential talks that will be exciting and hold the potential to yield quite a profit for you. For now, keep things under wraps.

This February 15 eclipse, like the one that occurred on January 31, will point to conversations and developments that occurred last August. Think back six months, to August 7 and August 21 in particular, and what news arose. Looking back a little farther, also consider all that occurred that fell one year ago, February 10. Those dates signify the dates of the last eclipses in Leo and Aquarius. Find the thread that connects these dates, and you will have a good idea of what January 31 and February 15 may bring to you. All eclipses in one family of signs are always joined together like pearls on a necklace.

There is another way you can judge the significance of the eclipses this month. Eclipses repeat every 19 years, so think back to see if you can recall anything important that occurred January 31 or February 15, 1999. The eclipses that occurred on those dates fell in the same degree and signs as the ones this month. While the planets surrounding these eclipses in 1999 will have since moved on, it still might be useful for you to look back, because the new eclipses are falling in the same houses and signs as they were then. Try to find a theme and then, later, see if you can find the precise connection.

Some eclipses do not deliver news immediately, but rather a month to the day later, plus or minus five days. For example, the one lunar eclipse that appeared January 31 in Leo, 12 degrees, might not affect you until the start of March, sometime from February 28 to March 4. So at some point during that span of days, you may have a big event.

February will be a critical moment for your career too. Mars, the energy planet, will enter Sagittarius for the first time in two years to light your house of honors, awards, and achievement. This is an important trend that started January 26 last month, when Mars just entered Sagittarius, and Mars will continue to light this area of your chart until March 17. The actions you take to boost your career in February and early March will be the most vital of the next two years, for you are now starting a new cycle. Press hard for career advancement, for you have a golden opportunity to reach higher and to actually touch the stars.

You have so much going for you, for on February 10, Venus will enter Pisces, to stay until March 6. This will be an ideal time to select new clothes and accessories, and for women to choose fresh new colors of makeup for the coming season. Having some new things will give you confidence as you step out to meet new people. With Venus in your sign, one person in your circle might stand out and stay in your life a long time.

A super-romantic day will be February 21, when Venus in Pisces will receive glittering rays from Neptune. This is one of the most glamorous aspects possible for love – even if this day falls on a Wednesday!

The month ends gloriously, when the universe will be blowing you kisses. The full moon of March 1 is one of the finest of all of 2018, and will be in your opposite sign of Virgo, so your focus will be on your significant other. Within four days of this date, you may be getting engaged or married, or at the very least, committing to each other, such as to be exclusive to each other.

If you are already in an established relationship, you will make a pact to tackle a large goal, such as to take a long-delayed honeymoon, to have a baby, to buy a house, or to get started on any other dream dear to your heart. Jupiter will be in perfect sync with Venus at this full moon, to be influential at the end of February through March 4, and it so very likely that you will feel sprinkled with pixie dust. This full moon is due to be extraordinary for you.
