Recently I was having a celebration dinner with Michelle Roque, my talented creative director who had done such brilliant art direction work on my calendars and planners, handling Parisian artist Izak’s work with such grace. Michelle was telling me that some of her friends love Astrology Zone – they only read my summaries to my monthly column. I put down my fork. Hearing this news made me sad. I asked, are you sure, Michelle? She nodded. I strive so to give my readers complete information, and this month, May, I look ahead to the rest of the year to show what is due for you, for planning purposes. Almost none of that vital information will be in my summaries – there was too much to explain.

You will have so much to cheer about this month that I can’t wait to tell you your forecast. So many of the difficulties you’ve faced for months, and even years, are about to fade as a new reality takes hold in May. Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, is moving out of Aries and your second house of money, and that has been a difficult place for you to deal with since 2010. Surprises with money – often coming out of left field – is nobody’s idea of a good surprise, and you had many of those, one right after the other.

Virgo is the other sign that dealt with this kind of situation for the same length of time, because Virgo and Pisces are six months apart on the horoscope wheel and on the same axis. You had Uranus in your second house of earned income. Virgo hosted Uranus in the eighth house of other people’s money (including loans, inheritance, commissions and bonuses, credit, and even identity theft.)

When a big planet is in one of these two houses, it often pings vibrations across the sky into the other, opposite house. While it is true that you probably made more money than you ever thought possible since 2010, you also were likely to have been hit with bigger monster expenses and taxes that you never imagined could be so large.

In a moment I will show you the full and new moons and a slew of eclipse dates that might resonate with you on your timeline. (Not ALL of the dates I will show you will have been important to you, but some will, and you will see how the cycle worked.)

First, however, I need to show you WHY you should be happy from now on. For the first time since 1934 to 1942, Uranus, the planet associated with rapid, unexpected change, chaos, disruption, and surprise news, is moving into Taurus, a sign that blends beautifully with Pisces (and with your Virgo friends, too). This year, 2018, Uranus will spend six months in Taurus to give you a preview of what the coming seven years will be like. You may be saying, seven years? Yes, Uranus takes 84 years to circle the Sun, and spends seven years in each of the 12 signs and houses it visits. (12 x 7 equals 84).

Uranus will enter Taurus on May 15 and leave on November 15, at which time Uranus will retrograde back to Aries, the place it’s been since 2010. Now you must be saying to yourself, I knew it! Uranus is coming back to Aries to torture me again, oh great, I am doomed. Nothing will ever change. The universe hates me! Dear Pisces, don’t think that because that is not true at all!

Uranus will finally get back to Taurus on March 6, 2019, and stay there until 2026. Here is the critical part to remember. You had the most problem with the Aries and Libra new and full moons and eclipses, for those light your financial houses. They don’t exist from November through early March – you are done with all this! Remember April 15 that occurred last month – the new moon in Aries was your last bout with Uranus, for it was conjunct the Sun and moon. It is true that a new moon marks beginnings, and has a long tail; a new moon I will admit can affect you for six months into the future. That only brings you to October, and by then, the new and full moons can’t hurt you because Uranus will still be in Taurus. You are DONE!

The universe can bring harsh lessons to us until we learn what it is trying to teach us. You may have had identity theft, or you may have wrestled with student loans, credit card debt, high taxes due, or a mortgage that was crushing you. Some lost their home in a natural disaster, only to discover their insurance company didn’t cover what was expected. You may have had financial loss due to an unscrupulous partner, an investment that went south, a client who owed you but went bankrupt, or you may have been too trusting of someone who let you down financially. The point is, you learned from all of this, and now your tutoring session is over. You can now build in ways to be sure none of this ever happens again.

Here are the dates that I showed Virgo in their May report, and I want you to see them, too. I am copying this information straight from what I wrote in Virgo, for it applies directly to you, too. I spent a lot of time studying this, so I wanted you to see it.

Here is a list of your most challenging financial dates in your PAST timeline. They started with the full moon March 19, 2011, the new moon of September 27, 2011, and continued a year later on the full moon of September 29, 2012.

    Uranus in Taurus will help you find all that is different in you, coax you to communicate your special perspective, and celebrate your uniqueness. You will be given a podium with a microphone to speak, or a pen to write, and you will be heard, and more importantly, applauded for your efforts.

More financial stress followed at the full moon April 25, 2013, and in the year that followed, the new moon of March 30, 2014, for that one was no peach. You weren’t done yet, not by a long shot. The biggest monster full moon, also a lunar eclipse, arrived April 15, 2014, and was later followed by another money-oriented tension-producing lunar eclipse, October 8, 2014. I bet 2014 proved challenging to you unless you had help from a planet in your unique natal chart that I cannot see from here.

Tests of your ability to manage money under stressful conditions continued. April 4, 2015, brought a difficult lunar eclipse. Later that year brought another unfortunate new moon, October 12, 2015. Next, a new moon (not an eclipse) arrived April 7, 2016, and brought more tensions about money, and on October 16, 2016, Uranus was up to his old tricks and needled you again.

The most recent horror arrived last year on an angry full moon, April 11, 2017, and likely had to do with taxes. Your bout with financials was not over. October 18, 2017, a new moon, was due to be so bad I worried about that approaching new moon for months and wondered how I would explain it to you. It was every bit as awful as I had anticipated – for almost everyone.

Now you may be thinking, wait a minute – where is Uranus heading next? Will it be to another terrible place in my chart? No, dear Pisces, it’s going to your house of your mind and ideas, of writing, speaking, and communication, the very best place to host a futuristic planet like Uranus. Uranus is heading to your house of ideas. The third house is considered to be a cadent house – in other words, a gentle house – so there will be no more bossy planets to turn your world upside down, dear Pisces.

Uranus is said to be the higher octave of Mercury, bringing the intellectual gifts of Mercury to a much higher level. Mercury is the planet of thinking, perception, reasoning, negotiating, writing, speaking, editing, translating, researching, computer coding, and the other communication arts. Uranus takes all that Mercury gives you and synthesizes them into a higher level of brilliance, into the realm of innovation and genius. Now Uranus will enter your third house of communication and help you to generate cutting edge ideas.

Let’s look at some of the descriptive words of Uranus – independent, magnetic, intuitive, innovative, curious, playful, questioning of tradition and of authority, rebellious, pioneering, and freedom loving. Uranus unshackles of bonds that have contained you. It imparts a brave and confident feeling and is always futuristic in its message. Uranus is also sensitive to social change (to protect the planet, or to help a group that has been overlooked by society), for Uranus often urges involvement in charitable and humanistic causes.

Uranus rules alternating current of electricity, so it is uneven, which only adds to its unpredictable nature. Creativity is born in randomness, so this is a good element of Uranus. It is considered a planet that takes away the old to make room for the new.

When Uranus strikes, it strikes like lightning, out of the blue, and sweeps out all that is no longer of future relevance to you and helps you rebuild what was lost to something more fitting for your future. Astrologers call Uranus the Greats Awakener. Uranus is disruptive but also creative – this planet will help you to communicate in a unique way that is true to you and only you. You won’t feel pressure to be like anyone else – you can be free to be different and NOT blend in.

Under this influence you may write a blockbuster novel or screenplay, be given your own TV or radio show to host or produce, publish an award-winning book of poetry, or produce a podcast that rockets off the iTunes. You may design and sell a mobile app that makes you amazing profits. You may design an advertising or publicity campaign that works so well, it is written up and studied in advertising journals. Your lyrics for a new song may catch fire and make the top of the charts. If you always wanted to write cover stories for magazines or do important journalism, this trend will help you achieve your dream.

Uranus in Taurus will help you find all that is different in you, coax you to communicate your special perspective, and celebrate your uniqueness. To get ready for this important seven-year trend, you might want to take a course in creative writing or get media training, for it’s likely you will be interviewed too on TV and radio.

The third house, where Uranus will be, also rules travel to nearby cities and towns. You will be traveling much more frequently in the coming years, and that will be good for your mind, body, and spirit. You may be flying or driving back and forth from a certain city quite a bit. If you need a new car, start doing the research. I like May 23 or May 25, May 27, or May 29 to make your purchase.

Your sister or brother also makes up part of the third house, so surprising news is likely to come from your sibling or possibly from your cousin, so keep checking in – you may be surprised with what you hear.

You are entering an exciting period, for Taurus is an earth sign that will blend beautifully with your water-sign nature. Those born in February will be the first to feel Uranus’ influence as it inches through deep space.

Now let’s look to the new moon May 15 In Taurus, 25 degrees, underscoring all I have been writing about so far. Everyone of every sign will begin to feel Uranus’ influence instantly because of that new moon. Among the areas I have written about so far in your report, one will stand out and be the one to become important to you.

If your birthday falls on March 14, this new moon will energize your third house in a big way, and you will see opportunity and news come up in that third house communication / travel / siblings sector. To be clear, the Pisces born March 14 will feel the new moon directly (give a plus or minus four days) and those Pisces born February 19-22 (plus two degrees) will be the first to benefit from Uranus in Taurus.

If you have the natal moon in Pisces or Pisces rising, the same is true for you – look for early degrees, 0-3 degrees for Uranus, and 24 degrees plus or minus five degrees. Readers with natal planets at that found near 0-3 degrees or within five degrees of 24 degrees of Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio will also benefit.

The day after the new moon in Taurus, Mars will enter Aquarius (May 16) for the first time since November / December 2016. Mars usually remains in a sign and house for seven weeks, but this time, Mars will remain in Aquarius from May 16 to November 15, 2018.

The reason Mars is spending so much time in Aquarius is Mars will go retrograde from June 26 to August 27. This is not good news – Mars is the booster rocket that gets your ideas in the stratosphere, into strong orbit, and when he is napping, you have to do the entire heavy lifting yourself, which is harder than you expect. Mars rules the passion to excel and win, and without Mars behind you, you may not have the fierce desire to keep going, no matter what the obstacles.

There is another problem with July and August – Mars’ brother, Mercury will be retrograde too, from July 27 to August 19. That means both Mars and Mercury will be out of phase at the same time – not good. You can work on things privately, and plan, but do not show anything to the outside world until all these retrogrades are over.

I suggest you not launch anything of major importance until September, and even then, when Mars awakens, he will be groggy and lethargic. Everyone will be in the same boat, so people you will be dealing with will be just as frustrated with the pace of events. The period when Mars is retrograde is perfect for surveying what has happened so far, what can be made better, and for shaping course correction plans to institute in the later months of the year.

Of all the months, December will be your best. Not only will all the planets finally be back in energetic shape, but also Mars will be in Pisces from mid-November 15 to December 31. I say act in December because Mercury will go retrograde again, November 15 to December 6 – ugh! You will still have a great month, from December 6 to December 31, to shout your new projects from the rooftops.

Mars in Aquarius will stimulate your intuition and even your dreams. You may become quite vivid and creative, so keep a pen and pad near the bed to scribble some of the visions you get – they may be highly original and even prophetic.

It is also a good time to go to medical personnel to address a health matter. If you have an addiction to just about anything, the coming months would be the time to seek out a therapist to help you overcome that dependence. Because the twelfth house rules hospitals, rehab centers, and physical therapy centers, you may have more than the usual interaction with medical practitioners, for yourself or for a family member.

This month Mars will be in early degrees of Aquarius and be in hard square to Uranus in Taurus, also in early degrees. They will clash on May 15, and Mars square Uranus can bring an outburst of anger or physical mishap, so watch where you are walking, dear Pisces. You are going to be on the road a lot, so have your car looked at by an auto mechanic prior to May 15 to be sure it is shipshape. Because Mars and Uranus are both in fixed signs, it is harder to find accord – you both seem to have firm opinions that differ with the other person’s.

Mars and Uranus will clash again, after May 15, at the same degree and signs on August 1 and also September 18. I feel the May 15 date will give you an idea of what is to come on the second two dates. You don’t need Uranus to be exactly in hard angle (90 degrees) to Uranus to feel this aspect because it has a wide number of days before and after it occurs to feel it. That’s why I want you to keep your antenna up for whatever takes your attention on May 15, for it is likely to be a recurring theme through early August and mid-September. Again, everyone will be dealing with this, not just you, dear Pisces

Don’t sign important papers near May 15 – 16, because not only will Mars be at odds with Uranus, but also Uranus and Mercury will conjoin and possibly make the situation you are entering into unstable. Still, Uranus is the planet that does things just the opposite of what you expect at times – these hard aspects from Mars and Uranus and Mercury and Uranus could unleash brilliant ideas in you. You have to see how this works out – both opposing results I have noted in charts empirically. I would love to hear from you. The end of the month should be delicious. The full moon of May 29 will be in Sagittarius 8 degrees and light your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. Applause for work well done is likely to come to you at this time. You may also be given the approval from a VIP to begin a big prestigious project. Mars, the energy planet, (not yet in retrograde until June 26) will be in beautiful angle to the Sun and moon. This means you are ready, willing, and able to act on a high profile project in your career. Wow!

Something ELSE is happening at month’s end that is simply breathtaking. Jupiter in Scorpio, the planet of gifts and luck, will contact Neptune in Pisces, planet of imagination, creativity, the arts, and the silver screen in the most harmonious silvery beam possible. At the same time, Venus in your house of love, romance, children, and creativity will complete the third leg of a golden triangle of happiness from its perch in Cancer.

Something wonderful is about to happen for you at month’s end in the realm of love, children, pregnancy, or creativity, dear Pisces. This aspect is as rare as diamonds, so by all means use it at month’s end. It will be cuddled into part of the message of the full moon May 29, but you will begin to feel things go your way as soon as May 24 and through May 30, if not longer.

Keep in mind that Jupiter is your ancient ruler, and Neptune, your current, modern day ruler. When they are in sync – a feat that takes years to culminate – you do very well indeed. Expect the best because in May, the best is coming to you.

After seven long years of hosting Uranus, the planet of unpredictability, in Aries in your second house of earned income, savings, and spending, you this month you will say goodbye to Uranus on May 15. Uranus will remain out of your financial house until mid-November of this year. You will breathe a sigh of relief, for Uranus played havoc with your finances for seven years. This year you are getting a preview of what’s coming in future years. Uranus will retrograde back to Aries in early November, but only for a short few months.

When Uranus returns to friendly-for-Pisces sign of Taurus on March 6, 2019, he will remain there until April 2026 – seven years. This is the best news you’ve heard involving finances in ages – no more radical financial ups and downs are due. With unpredictable Uranus in your money house since 2010, it is true that you might have also seen large infusions of cash from time to time. The difficult part was that the reversals were likely just as dramatic. Now life will settle down, and you could not be happier.

The place Uranus is headed is your third house of communication involving writing, speaking, research, translation, contractual agreements, and short distance travel. Uranus is considered the higher octave of Mercury, synthesizing the superb thinking, perception, negotiation, and communication abilities of Mercury to a much higher plane, into the realm of genius. You will be given a platform on which to speak or write about all that you’ve learned and gained in your area of expertise.

Free of Uranus in Aries, you will enjoy seeing the end of the continual financial surprises you’ve endured, and can focus on some of the most important work you may do in your lifetime. Uranus in earthy Taurus blends beautifully with your Pisces water sign element – a fertile mix – and allow you to create groundbreaking work. You will also travel more frequently, both to nearby cities and overseas, and gain from the people you meet and projects you do on those trips.

Speaking of travel, it appears you may have been on the road at the end of April, or at the very least, heard good news about business projects emanating from overseas. The media, in terms of broadcasting and publishing project, are also due to be a glowing profit center for you.

If you need to get more education and go back for a degree, ask for financial aid or even a scholarship – when you are lucky, you are lucky, and this year your chances are strong for financial university help. At the new moon, May 15, these matters glitter for you. If you need to buy a new car, do so on May 18, when Mercury and Saturn will be in sync – you’ll love it forever.

This year, Jupiter and Neptune have been in superb sync, an uncommon aspect that happens only rarely. Jupiter, the great good fortune planet, and Neptune, the planet of creativity, are both Pisces’ rulers. During years these planets are in what is called a trine aspect, creating supreme harmony and happiness, you do very well indeed. These planets will reach mathematic perfection this month on May 25. The weekend of May 25-28 should be outstanding for you. Use one of these days to give a creative presentation, or to begin a creative project, such as one involving film, photography, art, theatre, costume or makeup design, dance, or other artistic discipline. It is also a wonderful time to fall in love.

Thanks to Venus in Cancer from May 19 to June 13, love will be in the air almost everywhere you go, and you will enjoy heightened popularity. Jupiter and Neptune will help Venus in Cancer too, making it a heavenly time to meet someone new or to show outstanding affection for the one you already love.
