A Note from Susan Miller

FEBRUARY 2019

Dear Reader,

We have made it to February, a darling month, made all the sweeter because most of us have come through some tough tests in January, which held two eclipses (January 5 and 20) triggering one or two sudden changes. If you felt January was intense, you are not alone. I would like you to share your stories about the eclipses and other aspects on social media—each night I read every post. Please include your month and day of birth (no year necessary) so that I can see your sign and rising sign.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

February turns a corner for you, and life will start to look bright and sunny again. I realize many Cancers did not enjoy January, a month that’s six months away from your birthday, and so it is truly your “winter,” because the Sun in January is so far away from your natal Sun. Planets building up in Capricorn—an earth sign—may have seemed heavy and even immobile in January. You may have been frustrated by a difficult situation involving your romantic partner, you may have faced a wall of competition, or both. The two eclipses, January 5 and 20, did not help—one or both eclipses may have brought hard news.

This month will be entirely different and far better, for the planets will be in ideal position to help you. Let’s first talk about February 3, when Mercury, the planet of news, will receive shimmering vibrations from Jupiter. Money seems to be on the way, and it looks to be from a commission, royalty, bonus, insurance payout, inheritance, small prize-winning, back child support, court settlement, or another source. February 3 will be a Sunday, so maybe you didn’t check your mail for a day or two and suddenly find the news in your mailbox. All aspects have an aura around them, so you may hear on Monday, February 4.

The new moon will arrive on Monday, February 4, and it will fall this month in Aquarius, 16 degrees, appearing in your eighth house of other people’s money. This new moon will help you generate income in the days and weeks to come. If you are in sales, plan to work hard, for you can earn good commissions now, and if you do well this month, the actions you take will break the ice and allow you to continue to see income all year. You only get one new moon a year in each of the twelve houses of your chart—this one has everything to do with money that comes to you in large chunks, not parsed out, such as what happens with salary.

I am enthusiastic about this new moon for you, because Jupiter (the giver of gifts and luck) will be ideally positioned to give you an element of luck you’ve needed to score a victory in sales. If you are self-employed, you can bring in new clients or more orders from steady customers now. If you work for others, the same is true. Mars, the ruler of your tenth house of fame, will be touring this same area of your chart relating to your leadership and career reputation and will be in an ideal position to Jupiter in your house of work projects. See what is happening here—you can make money and elevate your status, in terms of the prestigious client you bring in.

At the same time, Jupiter will be in ideal angle to the Sun and new moon on February 4, in your financial eighth house, and that is the strongest suggestion you are about to see the fruit of your labors. If you could stretch your arms to reach the sky and move the planets around with your fingers, you could not wish for a better new moon to make money than the one on February 4.

A new moon is very different from other aspects. A new moon opens a portal of opportunity that lasts ten days, and the actions you take within those ten days can provide the momentum for prosperity for a full year. You have a tiger by the tail, and you need to run with it.

On top of all this, Mars will orbit very close to surprise-a-minute Uranus in the first half of February. Mars rules your solar tenth house of career prestige and achievement, and Uranus rules your eighth house of other people’s money, underscoring and enlarging the themes of February. When Mars is close to Uranus, it lights up Uranus like Times Square. Both Mars and Uranus will be in ideal angle to Jupiter, meaning this month will brim with surprise breakthroughs that could lead to profits. All your hard work is about to add up to something big—and the payoff is not only glamour, but also includes money for you.

If you could stretch your arms to reach the sky and move the planets around with your fingers, you could not wish for a better new moon to make money than the one on February 4.

Watch February 12, when Mars and Uranus will make a perfect alignment, bringing some sort of big surprise in your career. Don’t worry though, for both are receiving golden beams from the Sun—and the Sun is in your eighth house. I feel you will have the Midas touch this month, for happy money news seems to keep happening.

Career pressures will calm down, once Mars moves into Taurus, your social eleventh house of friendships and contacts, February 14. Being that Mars rules your tenth house of prestigious career reputation, you will need to work differently in the coming six weeks. Mars in Taurus will require you to socialize more with clients in a very relaxed way. Catch up with clients you’ve not seen in a while, take new clients to lunch, go to industry mixers—generally, socialize more and do fewer formal presentations. Don’t conduct all your business over email—it will be the Cancers who actually see their clients face-to-face that will do best. You may still have to prepare some formal reports, but not as many as you did in January. Change is coming—the point is, relax and let your personality come through.

The planets stacking up in Capricorn opposite to your Sun may have given you a hard time in January, but will become your friends in February, after the Sun moves into Pisces—that will happen from the date of the full moon, February 19, onward. You may have found the key to dealing with your competition by then, perhaps after celebrating one victory and triggering an epiphany about how to go about your job a little differently.

At that time of the month, you may get a chance to duck out of town for a long or short trip. If you can go, take the opportunity. Travel will do you a world of good. The full moon will light up your third house of quick, short travel, so if all you can do is to take two or three days, do it. The full moon will fall in Virgo, one degree, on a Tuesday, the day after Presidents’ Day (February 18) in America (a national holiday), when people generally go away. See if you can take one extra day off, over the full moon of Tuesday, February 19. You can go to a warm and sunny spot, or, because Virgo rules earth and mountains, you may want to go to a crispy, cold mountain, where you can ski.

If you don’t live in America, the time near the full moon, February 19, will be a wonderful time to be away, especially if you can treat yourself to a four-day weekend.

Valentine’s Day, February 14, is mixed, but I feel you can make it work well for you. Venus in Capricorn is usually nice for enjoying a close a relationship, but there seem to be worries, for Saturn is orbiting close to Venus. Your partner may be suffering with a difficult career or health situation, or you may not be getting along with each other as smoothly as you would have hoped. You do have something going for you in terms of Mars in Taurus, putting you in the mood for romantic candles and flowers, and dinner in a cozy—and possibly luxurious—restaurant for two. (Mars will be traveling in sensuous Taurus, an earth sign that goes very well with your water-sign element of Cancer.)

If your birthday falls at the very beginning of your Cancer sign, say, near June 20-21, you will have a double dip of pleasure on Valentine’s Day, as the degrees of transiting Mars will line up exactly with the degrees of your Sun. Yet, all Cancers will have a chance to enjoy this day for lovers, as there is something here for everyone.

If you were thinking of extending Valentine’s Day into the weekend because it falls on a Thursday, I favor that idea. On Friday, February 15, and Saturday, February 16, the moon will be in Cancer—much better for you—and on Sunday, the transiting moon will be in Leo, a place of luxury for your last day away. Even more importantly, Venus in Capricorn will send a lovely vibe to Neptune in Pisces, a very glamorous aspect set to happen on Saturday, February 16, and that will spill over into Sunday, February 17. This weekend could work out to be even more romantic than Valentine’s Day.

It sure looks like you will have the travel bug this month, because next, you have the full moon in compatible Virgo, February 19, set to light your third house of travel. This is a happy full moon, for Uranus will bring a spirit of spontaneity and fun. Mars will help things along too—from your friendship sector—indicating that whether you travel over the full moon for fun or work, you will enjoy yourself. There will be time to catch up with at least one friend while away. Alternatively, you may be visiting your sister or brother, and it would be a really good time for the two of you.

During this same full moon, you may be asked to sign a contract, and it would be wise to do it quickly (assuming your lawyer gives you the go-ahead). This month is a big bouquet of roses, with sweet planetary stars sprinkling opportunity everywhere you turn. Next month, from March 5 to 28, will bring Mercury retrograde—not a time to sign any papers.

Additionally, this full moon could bring sudden good news about a business project or deal you’ve tried to forge and may now finally reach culmination. The lovely angle of Uranus and Mars to the moon seems to suggest quick movement on your project, and because Uranus rules your solar eighth house of money and Mars rules your prestigious career sector, a commission, royalty, licensing fee, bonus, or other windfall seems to be part of the news you receive.

Legal matters and ones involving international relationships, publishing, broadcasting, and distant travel will all shine brightly for you, when the Sun and Mars are aligned on February 27, capping off a rosy month. Pick one of these areas for action, and you will be pleased with the results.

SUMMARY

As you begin February, your mind will be on assertively capturing career goals. Mars will be lighting your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement until February 14, an extension of where Mars was last month, so your best opportunity to score a victory will be in the first half of February.

The new moon of February 4 will appear in your eighth house of other people’s money, ruling bonuses, commissions, royalties, cash advances, and other financial packages. It appears you will score big and receive a nice sum of money. It will come to you as a one-time, large payment. Uranus will also perfectly align with the Sun, indicating money will find a way to your door in a surprising, unexpected way, so stay optimistic.

Eighth house matters shine for you, so send in an application for an insurance claim or university financial aid. Or, make your case for grant funding, venture capital, or a bank loan. If you work in sales, your commissions should be generous now, and if you write, you can get a solid book deal with a cash advance and lucrative royalties. Mars, the energy planet, will be beautifully aligned with Jupiter, another indication that your career-related efforts will be fruitful.

Work will go especially well with a client based overseas on February 7, when Jupiter and the Sun align. This too will cause money to flow into your bank account.

When Mars moves into Taurus from February 14 to March 30, the tone of the month will transform to one that shifts the main emphasis from career advancement to social activity. From mid-month on, you will have to socialize more with clients, face-to-face, and not try to score deals over email or by sending formal proposals. Walk your client through your idea, in person, or if you are based in different cities, over the phone—don’t just toss the proposal into an email and hope you receive an automatic yes from the client. Be warm, be personal.

Mars in Taurus will give you more time to spend with your friends in your personal life too, and to attend fun events—you can arrange dinners or cocktails with friends, museum openings, or purchase tickets to a Broadway show, concert, or ballet. Most importantly, you will enjoy the release from tension you’ve felt earlier in the month, when you were concentrating hard on getting career matters just right. One outstanding day for being with friends after work will be February 27, when Mars in your eleventh house of friendship aligns with the Sun.

The full moon on February 19 will light your house of communication, so you will be ready to finalize a deal and sign papers. Take advantage of this full moon, for next month—from March 5 to 28—Mercury will go retrograde, never a good time to sign papers. You’ll find it harder then to reach an accord in any negotiation than it will be now. In March, clients, buyers, and sellers will be prone to a change of mind (for no apparent reason) or cause you to run into snags for other reasons. This is your productive month, so take full advantage of it.

You have been dealing with weeks of financial meditations since mid-January, so you may be longing for an out-of-town trip to enjoy fresh air and have time away to clear your head. You can go, so look at travel packages on the Internet. You won’t travel a far distance, but you can find a sweet diversion to everyday cares. You will be getting along well with your partner, so you don’t need to go alone—you can venture out together, with happy results.

Romantically, Venus will glide through your seventh house of committed partnerships and marriage, allowing you to enjoy a smooth relationship with all partners in your life—both romantic and business. Yet on Valentine’s Day, Saturn will orbit with the Sun, not exactly a carefree aspect. Your partner may be going through a difficult life patch, or you may not be getting along as well as you usually do. Have patience.

For glittering romance, circle the weekend of February 16-17, when Venus and Neptune will be in ideal sync. This is a very glamorous alignment, so make this weekend as poetic and lyrical as you can.
