I am excited to tell you about my two appearances, first in October at the New Life Expo on Saturday, October 27, in New York City, and then in Carlsbad, California where I am doing a full weekend of yoga and astrology from November 2-4, 2018. This has been a year with a plethora of retrograde planets. While all planets retrograde, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are the planets that spin closest to earth and are the ones we feel the most when out of phase. The universe wanted us to look back, not forward, during the second half of 2018, and that trend will continue until early December. Let’s take a moment to review what has been going on.

Your career started to become challenging once Mars started to retrograde on June 26, which lasted until August 27. Mars rules Cancer’s solar tenth house of career, so over that period it was hard for you if you were trying to make professional progress. Talks were put on the back burner, and no matter how much you wanted to sign papers and get going, pushing forward was out of sync with the pace of the universe.

At the same time, three eclipses came by in July and August, and because eclipses require adjustment, at least one asked you to conform to changing conditions. Included were: a new moon solar eclipse in Cancer on July 12; a full moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on July 27 (a monstrous one); and the final one, a solar eclipse in Leo on August 11. These eclipses were personal to you and may have brought a lifestyle change, an increase in income, or a complete change in your financial structure.

It was fortunate for you that your career plans had not quite fallen into place, for the eclipses had their own ideas for you, and they usually bring news that changes conditions in the blink of an eye. You already know if you were affected, as the first eclipse arrived as a new moon solar eclipse in Cancer, July 12, that opened an entirely new path. You needed to stay on your toes in your career, as fast moving events were bringing unexpected news day by day.

There will be more eclipses in Cancer and your opposite sign of Capricorn in 2019, and they will arrive on January 5, July 2, July 16, and December 25, 2019. This almost guarantees that the changes in your life will continue and intensify at a speedy pace. Although you like to keep things as is, often you will find that change is good, for change often creates opportunities you would not have been able to take advantage of if you hadn’t needed to look at your options.

This month, Venus will go retrograde beginning October 5 and continuing until November 16, adding more weeks to the slow pace. This will not affect your career, but rather your home and family life. Venus rules your fourth house of home, so if you were planning to sell, buy, renovate, or decorate, you would be wise to put those plans on hold. Venus rules beauty in all of its forms, so when you work to beautify your home while Venus is retrograde, it becomes risky business, for chances are that you won’t like the result.

The fourth house of home also rules your parents, so if you were attempting to find a solution for your aging parent, you may need to choose a temporary solution, for you won’t be able to make a lasting solution until after December 6 (more on that date in a bit).

    Put a big star on October 29, when Mercury will conjoin Jupiter. This is the gold standard aspect that is outstanding for signing documents. If you can wait until this date, do so. If the aim for signing papers is to make a healthy profit, this day will bring great profit potential.

Venus is currently in Scorpio and will move through your fifth house of true love until January 7. During this retrograde in October and part of November, if you are dating someone, you may change your mind several times about where you want to bring the relationship in the coming months, and ultimately you may think this person is for you, forever. Alternatively, you may be moved to rekindle a past relationship, if you miss that person, for when Venus goes retrograde, she will ask you to look back and reconsider a past love or the history of your current relationship.

The new moon on October 8 would normally be a time to browse new spaces to live, to make plans for improving the look and feel of your house. However, when the ruler of your solar fourth house, in your case, Venus, is out of phase, it would be hard to make progress, so it would be best to wait.

If this month you come to the conclusion that you must leave your steady love or spouse and you are living together, you might not be able to easily find a suitable place to live, for, as said, Venus will be retrograde from October 5 to November 16, and Venus rules your home sector.

On the day Venus goes direct, November 16, Mercury will then go retrograde, specifically from November 16 to December 6, adding more delays. If you sign a contract when Mercury is retrograde, the usual outcome is to have to redo the contract or end it. All this means you would be wise to make no decision yet. It’s not the right time, and besides, before you make any decisions, you will first need to get through a very strenuous full moon on October 24, plus or minus four days. (If you must make a decision, choose to make it a temporary one.)

The full moon of October 24, in Taurus one degree, will be a wild and difficult full moon. This full moon arrives conjunct volatile Uranus, and straight across the sky, Uranus will oppose the Sun and Venus. This full moon might suddenly bring unusual or shocking news, and because the moon rules Cancer, you will likely notice this full moon more than others. However, if your birthday falls June 21 to June 24, you will be able to find ways to make this full moon work for you—it will be in friendly mathematical angle to your Sun.

The full moon will fall in your friendship house, but because it will be conjunct Uranus, it will be very unstable and unpredictable. The moon often also points to your domestic condition and to a female involved with your home. Your home life may bring up quite a bit of news that will portend some change.

Money seems to form a large part of the discussion at this full moon, and you may have a large, unexpected expense as a result of what comes up out of the blue. A friend is the focal point, so it might be that a friend has been rooming with you and suddenly announces that she is moving out, leaving you to pay the entire rent. Or, you might decide to take in your mother to save money from her having to live in an assisted living facility. (She also would be happier too, if you have the room.) There are many possibilities.

The point is, you won’t expect what is coming up, the expense and friendship seem to be connected to your home, but it is important to know that you can deal with it. Here is why I am especially optimistic.

Saturn, from his perch in Capricorn, your seventh house of partnership, will rush in to help you. You may find it odd that the taskmaster planet, that has given you much grief in past months, is now in a position to bring you aid. Saturn is a fair planet, but you may need a little more life experience to understand this truth. If you have a spouse or business partner or collaborator, that person will help you now, for Saturn is positioned in your contractual seventh house of marriage and business partnership. The partner points to someone older than you, perhaps just by a few years, but this person could be quite a bit older as well. No matter, you will find this person has maturity and is comforting and wise.

Put a big star on October 29, when Mercury will conjoin Jupiter. This is the gold standard aspect that is outstanding for signing documents. If you can wait until this date, do so. If the aim for signing papers is to make a healthy profit, this day will bring great profit potential.

This day, October 29, would be the day to give a presentation or a speech, pitch new business, make a fair and just negotiation, sign papers, defend a thesis, launch a new product or service, or start an advertising or publicity campaign for publishing a book.

As wonderful as October 29 will be, I would like you to avoid doing any of the activities that I listed above, and that certainly includes signing papers, on October 10, or over the full moon period October 24 (plus or minus four days). Stick to October 29, and you will be so happy you did, for if you are signing papers for a profit-oriented venture, it is likely to grow impressively. This is the best aspect possible for signing papers.

You seem very fixated on you living situation, and the new moon of October 8 will open the door to an opportunity to find a way to resolve a home-related dilemma. Mars will be in perfect angle to this new moon, so you will be motivated to get started instantly.

However, this is a topsy-turvy month, where the planets are sending mixed messages. Venus will go retrograde October 5 to November 16, and because Venus governs your home, you will probably have to wait until December to institute your plan. You may not even be able to begin until next year, with an eye to finishing by April 19, when there will be an important full moon in your home sector.

You have also been spending quite a bit of money lately, and with Mars communicating with your fourth house, it appears the funds you need for your home-related project will be found, but meeting day-to-day expenses will be harder because of a tight cash flow in October. If you were expecting to be paid by someone you trust, you may be told that the payment will be late—or possibly not be coming at all.

It is also possible that you will be making home repairs or undergoing a full-blown move, and as anyone knows who has experienced a move, no matter how hard you try to hold the line, money often seems like it is running through your fingers. The fourth house also rules your parents and immediate family, so it is possible that instead of spending on your home, you will be paying for one of your parent’s care, which you would lovingly want to do.

You may have some turbulence coming in your very personal, emotional life, too. As a Cancer, the moon rules your sign, so you will feel the emotional effects of the October 24 full moon more directly than most. This one will be jarring.

You appear to be thinking about a friend, for the planet of unexpected developments, Uranus, will tightly conjoin the full moon in your friendship house. This is a highly volatile aspect that suggests that a female friend is about to cause you tension when she acts out of character or in a way you’d never have expected. Let’s hope your friend has not made a play for your partner who you’ve been dating. Anything could come up, but hopefully it won’t be that.

That same full moon brings Uranus into an angry opposition to the Sun, suggesting you will suddenly need to write a check. It is not clear if the expense would be related to your friend or not, but it could be. If you had a friend as a roommate who suddenly moved out, you would have to cover the cost of the rent alone, as one example. Uranus is also opposed to Venus in your house of love, causing erratic responses on all sides—friends, a sweetheart, even possibly from you. At this full moon, plan to keep your head down and out of the line of fire. Do not bring up a touchy subject

Venus will retrograde from October 5 to November 16, and Venus governs not only your home sector, but the sector that rules your friends as well, so few things regarding these two areas will go as planned or even fall within the realm of what you’d expect. Sometimes, if you let things play out naturally and you respond to others, rather than initiate actions, things work out. This is a month you could become frustrated at every turn, but knowing these things are coming up in advance will make navigating thorny moments easier.

Before you throw your hands in the air, keep in mind that Saturn will be your friend, and you will get stabilizing help from this important planet. Saturn will help you think of answers to fix whatever comes up, and that’s quite a blessing. If your birthday falls at the start of your sign, from June 21 to June 24, you will not be hurt by the full moon—in fact, you may find opportunity.

Your best day of the month will be October 29, when Mercury and Jupiter will align in Scorpio in your house of true love and creativity. Love will be bright and beautiful, and if you are single and meet someone new, your rapport will be exceptionally strong. Are you attached? Then any matter involving pregnancy, birth or the care and pleasure of being with children will be strong. If you work in a creative field, you may want to go to a new setting to muse about it, so you can find ways to inject new ideas into the project.

October 29 is also a day when travel for any purpose, business or pleasure, will get four stars. On this day, the transiting moon will be in Cancer, helping you get things precisely your way. If you are going away with your sweetheart, leave on Saturday, October 27, and stay through Monday, October 29, if you can take off that Monday from work. Sign important papers now too, for you could not wish for a more ideal day—profit seems assured from the venture.
