Dear Reader,
You might already know that I love posting on Twitter (@AstrologyZone), and I am also on Facebook (Susan Miller’s Astrology Zone). What is new is that in December, I added Instagram to my regular social media posts (@Astrologyzone). I have been having fun reading your comments and seeing how the planets are influencing your life. I had joined Instagram in 2012, but in intervening years I had not been posting there, but now I am enjoying going on Instagram almost every day.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Libra rules marriage and partnership of all kinds, including those formed in business, but the new moon in Aries, 15 degrees, on April 5 will come with obstacles to joining forces or to finding accord with another. Saturn and Pluto will be in very hard angle to the new moon, suggesting that you and your partner, most likely in love or marriage—may not agree on a plan you have to improve your living situation. There are many possibilities of what may come up, so I will give you some examples to start you thinking.
You may want to move in together and need to move to do so, but your partner may not like the neighborhood you are recommending. Or, it may be that you want to renovate parts of your apartment or country vacation house, but your partner may not see the need to do so. If you are just married, you may be trying to come up with a decorating plan but find your style preferences are wildly divergent from your spouse and settling on a direction is difficult.
You may have to move to take advantage of a new job, but the choices in the region you need to move to are not plentiful or pleasing to you. Experts you hire, such as a decorator, contractor, or architect, also come under the domain of the seventh house, so you and one of these professionals may not find it easy to agree on any of your main concerns. If you have a raging landlord, problems are likely to reach epic levels in April, if not at the start of the month, then again later at the full moon, April 19.
The fourth house of home and property, which is so lit up by Saturn (and also by bossy Pluto) is a part of the chart that also rules your parents. It could be that one of your parents doesn’t like your choice of sweetheart or spouse, and that could be causing problems in communication, in attending important family events, and very possibly the future of your relationship.
No matter what topic comes up for you this month that is home-related, a new moon—any new moon in any month—will give you time to sort out the problems. In the case of the April 5 new moon, you will have time to work with your partner to come to a course of action. New moons open a portal of energy, so they set off beginnings, not endings. (Endings are crystallized at full moons, which we will come to in a moment.)
Jupiter is currently in your third house of communication and close kin until December 2, 2019, and will be on the borderline of a significant aspect at the time of the new moon, April 5. This is true—by a razor thin mathematical proximity—but I say Jupiter will be close enough to be of assistance. Your sister, brother, or cousin may be able to offer sound advice or intervene on your behalf no matter what the problem happens to be.
Saturn and Pluto will caution you to be thrifty, but it does appear that most of your money is being funneled into your home to invest in new property, to make needed repairs, or to improve its design and beauty. Why do I think much of your savings, income, and possibly a loan, seems to be going into your home? I see the solar ruler of your second house of earned income, Pluto, is currently posited in your fourth house of home. Pouring money into your home might be a very wise investment (check with your broker or financial advisor) as long as you don’t borrow more than you need, a message being sent by Saturn.
Mars rules your solar seventh house of marriage, partnership and collaboration, so with Mars newly in Gemini, you will find travel helps to build bonds between you and your spouse or established sweetheart.
This month, Saturn a will retrograde April 29 and go direct September 18.
Pluto will retrograde earlier, April 24, and stay retrograde until October 2.
It is common for the outer planets, which are very slow moving, to stay retrograde for months at a time. You may like these retrograde periods because Saturn and Pluto will become weaker during these phases and not trouble you quite as much.
Jupiter will retrograde too, from April 10 to August 11.
While Jupiter is retrograde, I would not suggest you start a business, buy a new house if hoping to see it appreciate impressively in time, or launch a new product at work if you can help it. Jupiter rules profits, money, and expansion. It would be a very good time, however, to make repairs, even expensive ones, during Jupiter retrograde.
Don’t assume that Jupiter, Saturn, or Pluto are exactly like Mercury, Venus or Mars when retrograde. The latter three planets orbit closest to Earth, and that is why we feel their effect more directly than any of the other planets. Mercury is currently done retrograding as of last month, March 28, and we are all happy about that. This is why you can move forward.
If you need to sign a document, do so on April 5 for longevity or April 14 for great luck and growth. Mercury won’t go retrograde again until July 7 to July 31 and after that from October 31 to November 20. Venus and Mars will not retrograde at all in 2019, not until 2020.
Mars rules your solar seventh house of marriage, partnership and collaboration, so with Mars newly in Gemini, you will find travel helps to build bonds between you and your spouse or established sweetheart. You will also feel relief that Mars is no longer in heavy, earthy Taurus, for Taurus does not blend well with your air-sign element of Libra. In fact, earth tends to smother you, dear Libra. Mars in Taurus was in your financial eighth house from February 14 to March 30, so your expenses rose, and you might have found you were spending more money than usual. That period is over and done.
At the very least, Mars is out of that financial house, which should help, but that will not entirely cure the financial ups and downs you may have experienced over the past six weeks. Uranus is now in your eighth house of other people’s money, and this is the planet of unexpected developments that can cause gyrations. In a money house, Uranus can bring extremes. You may make more money than you ever dreamed possible, but be hit with larger expenses than you have ever imagined, maybe for your bodyguard? Just kidding, but it is possible!
To be clear, I am not talking about making money by gambling (I don’t study games of chance). I mean you can make more money by using your business savvy.
The full moon of April 19 will put Uranus front and center, and it may bring on a very tense time. Uranus will oppose the full moon in Libra to almost exact degree and conjunct the Sun also in tight degree. (This will be an out-of-sign conjunction of Uranus with the Sun, and a direct out-of-sign opposition to the full moon. The full moon is at Libra 29 degrees, and Uranus is currently at Taurus 2 degrees, only 3 degrees away from the full moon, out of a full circle of 360 degrees.) This could cause some volatility with your finances or on your work front, perhaps with changes of high-level VIPs in your company.
If you are in the process of a divorce or ending a business and attempting to come to an agreement about the fair division of shared property with your soon-to-be-ex or ex-partner, be careful, for this month, these aspects can be wild, and talks could go in any direction. If you can move talks to the end of May or during June, that would benefit you. For now, make sure everything is written down, and let your lawyer represent you.
The April 19 full moon will be in your sign, Libra, 29 degrees, and will be speaking directly to those Libras born late in the sign, October 20 to October 22, with perhaps a plus or minus one day on each side.
This will be the second full moon in Libra in a row, as last month on March 20 we had very different aspects to that full moon, for it fell in Libra at 0 degrees. That March full moon affected Libras born near September 23-25, while the one this month will affect Libras born October 20 to October 22 the most.
Nevertheless, with a full moon in your sign, no matter when your birthday happens to fall, matters that are deeply important to you you may feel are reaching culmination. See how you feel near April 19.
Only three days after the full moon of April 19, we have Uranus conjunct the Sun on April 22. This aspect is close enough to the April 19 full moon to form the message of the full moon, and this day, April 22 is completely about money, and again, with news out of left field. It appears that a prominent man in your life will be the one to deliver the message. (The Sun always refers to a male.) With Uranus so active this month, you won’t see this development coming, and it will involve money.
Disagreements over how you will appropriate funds or spend your personal money seems the most likely discussion to come up, and it would be with your romantic or business partner. Alternatively, there is the possibility your family is disputing an inheritance and causing a lot of stress, but if so, things seem to reach a climax and end by the third week of April. This matter could become a hot potato, so be gentle. If your partner or family becomes too angry to even discuss the matter, leave a space of days after April 22 to broach the topic again. If you can wait until May 2, that would be even better.
It is possible that instead of money you may be discussing your health and a possible surgery. If so, you have nothing to fear—your doctor will know what he or she needs to do to help you. Call your insurance company to find out if your insurance will cover the entire cost, or if not, how much you might have to pay.
The happy part about the full moon is that Jupiter in Sagittarius will be in ideal angle to the Sun and full moon to help you find the right words in a possibly tense situation, so you can defuse it and move forward.
If the problem is with your spouse or sweetheart, a trip may help sooth you both by getting away from your normal surroundings. You will clear your mind, and you both will feel more optimistic about life. You need not go far to enjoy the benefits of being in a new setting, for Jupiter is in your short-distance travel sector (third house).
If you are having problems communicating with a parent (or someone you would think of as a parent), your sibling could be quite helpful to improve understanding on both sides at the time of the full moon, April 19.
Venus will enter your marriage/partnership/serious collaborator sector on April 20 to stay until May 15, sure to help sooth a thorny matter that might come up this month. Keep those dates in mind and be cheered by them.
Summary
You seem to have a lot on your plate this month and could use some help. If you can afford to hire a babysitter or helper for the days when you know you have too much to do, make the call. Your career, a personal relationship, and home-or-family-related duties will all need attention.
A relationship appears to be entering a new phase after the new moon in Aries on April 5. You seem ready to exchange rings and promises if you are single, and if you are already wed, to make more of your alliance by choosing a goal you can have fun working on together. Alternatively, this new moon might relate to a business collaboration and the seriousness you are taking in your approach to making it official, but in truth, it seems more likely to focus on a personal relationship on your mind.
There will be a difficulty, however, after the new moon April 5 arrives, and it centers on Saturn and Pluto in hard angle to the Sun and new moon. A housing situation or a concern about a family member, most likely a parent, may require your attention. There are many possible scenarios, all involving your home and family. It may be your family is not enthusiastic about your choice of partner and your plans to wed. Or, it could be your family is behind you, but you are having problems finding suitable housing for the next step you want to take together.
At the same time, though, you have Jupiter on the borderline—a little far, but still mathematically significant—to send golden beams to the new moon and Sun, and this planet of good fortune is in your communication sector.
This means you will find precisely the right words when you need them most, so if you should face an obstacle, know that you can talk your way through the problem with the appropriate person. Have faith in your ability to smoothly and politely untangle a difficulty, should you face one. Jupiter is in an intellectual sign, so keep emotions at bay and use your smarts to gently persuade and illuminate the matter at hand.
The full moon in your sign, Libra, on April 19 could bring a tense moment. Uranus, the planet of sudden news, will conjunct the Sun and oppose the moon, so no matter what comes up, you won’t see it coming. Your partner seems to be acting in uncharacteristic ways, and you seem surprised and not one bit pleased. The full moon will fall in your first house, which suggests that any news you hear will be important to you.
The Sun, involved in the April 19 full moon, rules your solar eleventh house, so if you don’t have a partner in love or business, then a friend could enter a tough patch and need your help. Conversely, your friend may say or do something to cross you, making you upset. The Sun rules your platonic relationships in your solar chart, while the solar full moon rules your career, so both bring a little turbulence at this time.
There is no doubt that you will feel pushed and pulled in April, but at this point in the month, April 19, Jupiter will be in an ideal, tight mathematical position to call in the cavalry—soldiers on horseback, with bugles blaring—to help you. Instinctively, you’ll know what to do, and Jupiter will protect your interests all the way. Although the situation may be initially tense, the fact is that it is surfacing to show you that something has to change, and this full moon will actually work to show you and protect you. After you make the changes, things will almost instantly get better for you.
