A Note from Susan Miller

JUNE 2019

Dear Reader,

Do you believe in miracles? I do, and I found out that I am not the only one. Albert Einstein once said. “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein said he chose the latter. My own life has been one of high contrasts, with very deep lows (especially in regard to my life threating birth defect and the many surgeries it took to get me well as a teenager), but I also have had the highest highs to celebrate. The contrast has made me grateful for every day I live—that was never a guarantee. I had to learn to walk again, and it took years.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

This month will give you a fabulous chance to move ahead in your career. The new moon in Gemini at 13 degrees will appear on June 3 and will be just what you need to make your move to elevate your career. The new moon will partner with Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, so this suggests you might need an intermediary to help you grasp the prize job. This person could be an agent, headhunter, job broker, or even a friend or family member, but it seems clear that someone who believes in you will be willing to speak up for you and give you an outstanding tip or reference.

Any job you begin talking about in June will represent a step up, not on the same level as you had before. A new moon in Gemini suggests the work will involve a job that is part of the communication field or in the communications department of any field. If you have a talent in one of the following areas, you will be doubly favored by the new moon in communications-oriented Gemini: editing, writing, speaking, coding, app or software development, public relations, marketing, sales, social media, or other branches of the communication arts.

A new moon in Gemini may alternatively discuss a position involving the travel industry or shipping/couriers/postal mail/express mail/messengers—all of these areas are ruled by Mercury. Gemini is the sign of twins, so you are likely to have two jobs presented—you may have to choose, or if self-employed, you may be able to take both clients and assignments.

Neptune will be in hard angle to the new moon and Sun, so my only little caution is that a particular job may look too good to be true. Who better than a super intelligent, analytical Virgo to seek a more accurate description of the job at hand? Ask a lot of probing questions (as you would do anyway), and keep summarizing what you think you have heard back to the person offering you the job.

One of the jobs that could come up may be a bit aggrandized by the employer, so you will need to strip away the fluff to drill down to the job’s core. I still maintain that what you will be able to discover will be a top job, one that would give you additional responsibility, power, and influence in your industry. I think you will have two offers, and by asking questions, you will come closer to knowing which one is right for you.

While any new moon will affect you for ten days after it occurs (June 3, plus ten days for career activities), the actions you take in that potent time period will have the power to shape your entire professional year to come.

You will start to see some delicious developments in your home life at the full moon in Sagittarius on June 17. This full moon will conjoin Jupiter, so it will be wildly beneficial for making important changes at home or on other property or for hearing good news about a family member.

Venus will be moving through your tenth house of fame and honors as of June 8 and will cast you in a glowing light. If you felt that your good work was going unnoticed by higher-ups in past months, that won’t be the case in June. You will be popular with VIPs and find it easier than ever to secure an appointment with an influential bigwig. You will find that subordinates will be supportive too, for they will want to work for you, understanding that they have much to learn.

Meanwhile, you will start to see some delicious developments in your home life at the full moon in Sagittarius on June 17. This full moon will conjoin Jupiter, so it will be wildly beneficial for making important changes at home or on other property or for hearing good news about a family member.

You may be moving or renovating, and if so, you have chosen the ideal year and month to attend to these matters. If you need to sell property, you are likely to receive the highest price of the year at this full moon. Uranus, the planet of surprise, will be on the borderline of a significant aspect, but I feel close enough to help you see wonderful news out of the blue involving your home situation.

If you are looking for a roommate, you’re likely to find one who is very compatible. You might paint the living room a new color or buy a new piece of furniture or a new mattress and linens. Something will raise your morale and those who live with you and make you excited about what is happening at home.

Alternatively, there may be a development in your family life, such as if you or a member of the family has a baby. Those little tykes can bring all the relatives together, with everyone sharing warm feelings of wonder and joy. Little babies are magical in that way, and even relatives who didn’t get along before the baby will bury hard feelings and focus on all that is right with the family.

If you have concerns about the welfare of a parent, you may receive heartening news. If you have been estranged from a particular family member, Jupiter, the great healer and so active at this full moon on June 17, can now soften that situation. All full moons deliver news within four days of the date they arrive.

You must work to have all your projects and goals finished up this month, as next month, Mercury will be retrograde. Mercury, when out of phase, impacts everyone, but this planet’s activities affect you and Gemini more than most, for both these signs have Mercury as their ruler. Mercury will retrograde from July 7 to July 31, but you will feel the slowdowns and miscommunications that Mercury is known to bring much sooner. You will start to feel Mercury’s impending retrograde at the end of this month, and so you should aim to finish things by June 20, no later. If you cannot, then put off signing papers, starting a new job, or doing other big actions until August. You will have a golden new moon in Virgo on August 30, so if you can wait, by all means, do.

There is another reason not to plan anything important in July. Two eclipses are coming your way—first, a new moon solar eclipse in Cancer on July 2, and two weeks later, a full moon lunar eclipse in Capricorn on July 16. Eclipses bring news out of left field, so you may be distracted by outside events, particularly in your social life, regarding a friend, a child, or concerning a romantic relationship with someone you are dating.

Mars will circulate in your friendship sector, so it won’t be all work and no play for you. You will have social diversions this month, but with Mars opposed to Saturn (June 14) and Pluto (June 19), love will be a serious topic to you, not casual or lighthearted.

Decisions about a friend or sweetheart will come to a point next month, but you will have inklings of what’s to come now, in June, especially near June 14 and June 19. The seriousness you feel in love can be good—it doesn’t have to be weighty in a hard way, since you may feel ready to commit your heart. Don’t do anything quite yet, for you need to see what comes up in July.

Let’s look at several special days that might have significance to you. The first date to watch, an exciting one, will be June 7, when your ruler, Mercury, will receive glowing vibrations form electric Uranus. On this day, your mind will be lit with 100,000 points of light, so it will be a great day for generating original ideas that are ahead of the curve. It may take those you speak to some time to catch up with you, but later they will hail you as a genius. This same day, June 7, would be an ideal day to travel spontaneously for fun or profit.

One rare aspect that will be at play all through 2019 will be a collaboration between Saturn and Neptune. These planets are very different in nature. Saturn teaches the value of being serious, hardworking, and goal-oriented. We learn from Saturn that the things we are proudest of in life are those which demand the greatest concentration, determination, and sustained effort. Saturn urges you to plan for the future, to set up a structure, and to make good use of your time, for when Saturn is prominent, we often feel we are running out of time (and that motivates us to act). Saturn orbits slowly, coming by in a single sign every 29 years for a nearly three-year stay.

Neptune is very different. As the planet ruling the arts, Neptune does not like borders or boundaries like Saturn does but wants the mind to wander freely. Neptune teaches the value of daydreaming and the value of imagining a better, more satisfying life for yourself. If Saturn taps your left brain and encourages analysis, Neptune taps your right brain. As the planet of the arts, Neptune can help some express themselves artistically. Neptune takes about 168 years to orbit the Sun and stays in one sign for approximately 15 years depending on its orbit.

Saturn cooperated with Neptune earlier this year on January 31 and will again on June 18. They will meet one more time, November 8, before these two powerhouse planets shake hands and go their separate ways. They will not meet again until 2031. While they are working together, artists will benefit. Saturn will help artists to be practical, to charge a realistic fee to allow them to continue their work, and to set up a plan for the future. These two planets will stay within a significant orb all year, at least until the end of November, so don’t get too stuck on the dates I listed—this is a big feature of 2019 that you will feel like background music all year.

Saturn is now in your creative fifth house, which also rules love—this is one reason you are feeling so serious about your love life and why you want to get your personal life on track, especially if you want children. You will be more discriminating about who you date, for you won’t want to continually tell your life story to different people.

Particularly for you, dear Virgo, Saturn is making you want to build a substantial relationship of long-term growth. At the same time, Neptune is now in your marriage house, providing a rare and special direct link between love and marriage. If you feel you have been dating long enough to know you want to marry your partner, you will be eager to become engaged. If that doesn’t happen, you may give up and move on to find someone more compatible. You will see this play out next month—to move forward or to leave—at the full moon lunar eclipse July 16.

Moving on to other dates of importance, one day when a friendship may likely be “off” will be June 19, when Mars and Pluto will be at loggerheads, and you may find a friend to be too demanding or domineering. Skip socializing on this day and focus on another activity.

Now let’s look at two standout days of June that you might enjoy very much. A perfect, glamorous night out with friends could be Thursday, June 13, when Mars’ signal to Neptune will create an evening of enchantment. If you are attached, this date may bring a day of poetry and romance, ideal for having a special dinner together or for starting a four-day trip for a long weekend near water (indicated by Neptune’s sweet presence).

Here is the other special day: June 27, when Uranus and the Sun will be in lovely sync, offering you an exquisite time to travel to see a friend (or to travel with a friend). Uranus will bring surprises and fun on the trip, and it will be good for you to go to a new setting. If you don’t travel for your own pleasure, there is some indication you’ll go for work, and new business would likely result. Again, Uranus will provide the unexpected, and I feel you’ll love what events crop up.

SUMMARY

June will likely generate quite a bit of career excitement for you. On June 3, the new moon will appear in Gemini and is likely to bring you a chance to interview for one (or possibly two) prestigious positions. Virgo is often very talented in publishing or broadcasting, as an editor, novelist, journalist, columnist, translator, researcher, newscaster, producer, podcaster, or social media manager. Virgo can also be talented in math and frequently works as an accountant, bookkeeper, software engineer, or medical technician. If you like to work with your hands (Virgo is known to be talented with fingers and hands), you will see progress as a pianist or other musician, fashion designer, seamstress, pattern maker, gourmet chef of healthy foods, and any other work where small motor skills are prized.

Investigate any offer to try for a new position, whether within your company or on the outside. One caveat: if you are brought the job opportunity by a middleman, such as a headhunter or job broker, make sure you make no assumptions about the nature of the position. Neptune will be in hard angle to this full moon and Sun, so the job description may not be accurate. Alternatively, you may be so enthusiastic that there may be danger you will hear what you want to hear, but not what was said. Your safe bet is to summarize all you are told, to make sure you and your prospective employer or client are on the same page. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will be in harmony with this new moon, so you can count on strong family support for your decision, no matter what you decide.

If you move, with Jupiter in this position, you are likely to move into a large, sunny space in the neighborhood you hoped to live in. If you are not moving, you might oversee a renovation, paint job, repair project, or delivery of a new, beautiful piece of furniture. The people connected to your home will also be part of this trend, so you might take on a cheerful new roommate or hire a person to help you, such as a decorator, architect, contractor, or even a nanny or gardener. A woman—possibly your mother, sister, or another person you know—will be very helpful to you now.

It won’t be all work and no play for you, dear Virgo, because Mars will be busy jazzing your eleventh house of social activity, a trend that started May 15 and will continue until July 1. Mars will stir up lots of invitations and reasons to be with friends. You may go shopping or to the movies, make quickly arranged lunches, receive a party invitation, or go to a charity benefit. Culture may beckon, so you may make a museum visit or buy tickets to a concert or Broadway play. Life will be fun again.

Here’s a day you’ll be spontaneous, playful, and spirited—June 27—when the Sun and Uranus combine energies, linking travel to friendship. Pack a bag, spin your compass, and off you go.
