Life is getting better and better for you, dear Taurus. You will be more optimistic than you've been in months - possibly years! - and finally, as you move forward in the weeks and months to come, you will get the lucky breaks you have hoped would happen. A relationship that tested you at some point over the past three years has now settled down or is no longer part of your constant concern. You either fixed the problem in that relationship, saw an improvement in conditions surrounding your alliance, or you broke up. Now you find yourself in a far better place. Some Taurus had health difficulties instead of concerns about a close, committed relationship, and if that describes you, it will be good to know that your health will show improvement, either immediately or in the near future.

It's time to create a new and improved life - delete clients who have given you sleepless nights, replace a ho-hum job with a more exciting one, and consider giving your appearance a "once over" from your face to toes, and include your clothes. Kick your look up another notch! It's time! My reference to improving your looks applies to my male readers as well as women readers, so stay with me, men!

Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, has slowly traveled through space and has now reached the perfect position to help you, in the Virgo constellation, an earth sign like yours that is compatible with Taurus. It has taken Jupiter twelve years to get to Virgo. With Jupiter now in "trine" position to your Sun - the finest aspect of harmony possible, next to a conjunction - you will find doors open for you in your career, your health will become stronger, you will get opportunities to travel, possibly abroad, and the best part, love and romance can now become bright and beautiful in the coming twelve months. Last month, on September 12-13, you had an important eclipse in your love / romance / children / pregnancy sector (fifth house), so you may have seen a development in one of those topics listed. If your birthday falls May 15 plus or minus five days, you will feel the benefits of this friendly solar eclipse more than most. Your creativity is also covered by the fifth house that is so lit up for you, and you will soon see that work you did in the past the past is adding up to something big now. This year and in 2016, ideas meet practicality and experience and produce a winning combination for you.

Sometimes an eclipse, like the one of September 12-13, delivers news and opportunity immediately, and other times it may take a month to the day later, plus or minus five days, bringing you to mid-October. This was a friendly eclipse that would open all sorts of possibilities. No matter your age, if you are single and want love in your life, you can find love. You need to do your part by circulating and being open to various types. Don't have a pre-determined list of qualifiers for your ideal partner - you may be surprised by the person who will intrigue you. If you are attached, you can get more attention and affection from your present partner. Again, do your part by looking your best and perhaps coming up with the idea of a trip together, anytime between now and September 2016 - chose one that you both would like to take and that is to a new location neither of you have seen. It's time to celebrate your love.

Mars will be touring your love sector all month, along with the sexy couple, Venus and Mars, so the stage is set for many romantic evenings either if you stay home or if you take a trip (think: a beautiful mountainous range). The job of Venus and Mars, when together - which is rare - is to set off the sparks of love. Venus will enter Virgo on October 8 and stay until November 9. This truly is the best possible time for love and also for a compete redo of your looks. Check your eyeglasses. Are they current? Nothing ages a face faster than old-fashioned eyeglasses. See your dentist about having a professional tooth whitening too. Have you been wearing your hair the same way for years? Ask your stylist for suggestions of something more modern. (Again, I am speaking to my male readers too.) It's you, all new and improved.

As you enter October, Mercury will still be retrograde in your workaday sector. You may have to redo or add to an existing project, and it's the right time to do it. You will be given a chance to polish it until it gleams. If you go to the doctor and don't get a diagnosis you expected, it's possible there was a mix-up at the lab, so there is no harm in asking for another test to be sure the diagnosis is correct.

After October 9, when Mercury goes direct, you can start thinking about moving ahead in all areas of your life, and for buying electronics too. Leave as much space as possible after October 9. The hardest and most frustrating days of Mercury retrograde are often the start and end dates (the "bookend dates"). When you buy electronics while Mercury is out of phase, you may find the product you chose does not fit your needs, and you begin to wonder why you bought it in the first place, or else you may find it is defective in some way.

In the past weeks, you may have made several trips to the repair shop. I got cotton (of all things) tangled in my suitcase zipper on the side pouch, so I had to lug my suitcase to the luggage repair shop. My Apple 6+ had a defective camera (and I bought the iPhone at the right time), but problems do sometimes crop up later during Mercury retrograde. Apple cheerfully replaced it within an hour - I barely had time to eat lunch when it was fixed. My favorite necklace suddenly needed repair too - the manufacturer here in New York replaced it instantly within 24 hours. The jeans I had made shorter were not short enough, so back to the tailor for re-hemming. We all tend to have a lot of these little chores to do during the retrograde. You may run into an old friend, and that is always fun during Mercury retrograde. Our past becomes important during these phases, and you are likely to be surprised and thrilled to catch up with your long lost friend. You may be able to think of things you can do together in the future.

If you get an offer for a new job, wait until after the Mercury retrograde phase is over before you commit. The exception to this rule is if you worked for this company before, or if the person offering you the job is someone from your past. In that case, you would be continuing a previous relationship and making more of it rather than starting a new alliance. Mercury is pleased when you make more of people and projects from your past. If you have a project that you want to go back to and improve, the same is true.

For example, during this Mercury retrograde, last month, I told my app developer, Phunware of Austin, Texas, that I felt my year-old app, Susan Miller's Astrology Zone Daily Horoscopes, is ready for an upgrade to version 2.0. I wanted to add links to videos, special features, and navigation improvements to surprise my readers. I signed the work order to get the team started during Mercury retrograde, which was safe thing to do because we were not writing a new app for the phones (iPhone, Samsung, and Android), but adding features and improvements to my existing product. I expect I will still need to make small corrections before we go to market, but that is always part of the process.

I won't unveil my new version to readers during this or any other Mercury retrograde period. It will take time for Phunware to write all the code anyway, and then Apple has to approve our changes. I will let you know when my new version is ready. You won't have to buy the upgrade, it will flow automatically into the copy of my app that you already have on your phone. When you upgrade, you will see the new features. Now let's look deeper into October. October 6 is a day to lie low. The Sun and Pluto will be at odds, so it's not a day to ask a favor of a VIP. Also on that day, Mars will oppose Neptune, so on this day, you may have stars in your eyes, but that could cause problems in a close relationship. This aspect will cut across your love and friendship sectors, so that's where your vision of someone may run counter to reality. Neptune is the planet of dreams, so in the absence of information, you may fill in the blanks with all kinds of glowing attributes your friend or sweetheart doesn't deserve - you just made them up! This would not be the day for a first date. Generally, delay all major decisions on this day.

Next, pay attention to October 11, a day with two different outlooks. The downside of October 11 is that 2Uranus will be opposed to the Sun. You may have problems with a VIP connected to your career, or a possible delay or setback regarding an important professional project.). I will admit that news may shock you. The problem may stem from political maneuverings within your company that involve a co-worker or person(s) who reports to you - people who will put their fingers in the pudding and mess up your work, or worse, want to take credit for your work. Alternatively, your home may be your focus and where the unexpected news stems, most likely from an event or person connected with your apartment or house, such as your landlord, roommate, or contractor, or possibly have to do with a parent or someone you think of as a parent.

Yet on the same day, October 11, one of the most glorious aspect is due, Jupiter in perfect trine angle to Pluto. You see what a crazy month this will be! Great aspects will be tossed in along with troublesome ones, but thank goodness for the good ones! In this case, Pluto and Jupiter can bring you excellent results from linking your creative efforts to an international client. Or you may be ready to go overseas to complete a project, such as to do research for a grant.

If you were doing any work involving the media in publishing or broadcasting, or with an international client, your timing would perfect. You would also have luck with anything involving academia, international research and relations, immigration, passports, green cards, and visas. Jupiter and Pluto are both associated with high-level finances, so if you are selling a house, you are likely to get the highest bid on or very close October 11.

The following day will bring a very difficult new moon in Libra, October 12, underscoring the problem you might have with co-workers or underlings. To be clear, October 12 is not an eclipse, just a full moon. Uranus will directly oppose the new moon and zoom jarring energy into your workaday sector. Again your home living situation or something related to a family member may need attention too. A new moon will always set up a trend lasting six months or more, until the full moon comes by to resolve the matter. That full moon will appear on March 23, which happens to be a full moon lunar eclipse. If the matter is complex, take your time to address it (but of course don't ignore it either). This seems to be an important matter that you will want to handle correctly.

I had mentioned earlier that the weekend of October 17-18 is superb for you - highly romantic. It would do you a world of good to go away on a trip with your partner if that is possible, and the trip may be short or long. Mars and Jupiter will be conjunct, setting up the perfect, loving, warm situation for happiness. If you have children, ask your family if one of your relatives would babysit.

The following weekend will be made for you too. Venus will be conjunct Jupiter in Virgo, a very rare aspect that will occur over October 24-25. When your ruling planet (in your case, Venus) is socializing with good fortune Jupiter, that is always sensational news for you. You will be as happy as a puppy in clover, for events will go your way. You will start to feel this lovely energy build on Friday, October 23. Use one of these days to take a judicious risk - have a first date, ask your boss for special favor, or pitch a venture capitalist for the money you need to grow your business. These are a few examples, but you get the idea - do something that would be hard to achieve, for you will have special favor.

Venus' job is also to make you look great, so this would be an ideal day (October 23-25) to buy new clothes or to choose a new scent (either sex). Women Taurus may want to choose new beauty products and makeup colors for the coming season.

The friendly full moon comes one day later, October 27 in Taurus, 4 degrees, putting a spotlight on you and all that you desire. Something of enormous importance is coming to culmination on this day or within four days of this date. Neptune, planet of creativity, vision and the arts, will be in perfect angle to this full moon. This is a very friendly new moon, and one that may bring an invitation from a friend to quite a beautiful party. If you are an actor, you may get the role of your dreams, or if you are an artist, you may sell an important piece. Or, it may be that you are finally able to grasp a dream that you have long held in your heart. This is a VERY favorable full moon to say the least.

This full moon will speak especially strongly to you if your birthday falls on April 23, plus or minus four days. The same is true if you know your natal chart and have Taurus rising 4 degrees (or within four degrees), or a natal plant within five degrees of 4 degrees Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, or to a slightly lesser degree if your natal planet is found near 4 degrees Pisces, Scorpio, or Cancer.

The three planets in your house of love and romance - Jupiter, Venus, and Mars - are still in Virgo, still orbiting close, and still in your house of true love. This full moon is all about you, your feelings, and the softer side of your life. It is also possible that a creative project will be coming to fruition at this time.

On October 30 the Sun and Neptune will also be in conversation, another boost to all artists and creative minds - that is you, dear Taurus, whether you work in a creative field or not. This year, it's clear the Halloween costumes will be outstanding fun. If you want to win a prize for your outfit, you'll have to work extra hard this year as the competition will be stiff! Are you not into making your costume? Then go to a party and enjoy all the creative costumes of the others. Go to a costume house early in the month to get the one you want so you enjoy being someone or something else! This month will end on such a sweet note!

You've had a number of eclipses over the past two years that may have touched off sudden changes in either your work environment or in regard to your health. The latest was a lunar (full moon) eclipse, September 27. Eclipses are in a hurry to show you the weaknesses in any situation, so that you can quickly act to protect yourself. If you were stressed over office politics last month, by now you've discovered the plot and have the wherewithal to disband it.

Now, a new moon in Libra, October 12, will work with the September 27 lunar eclipse and open a new chapter, with more surprises due. You are likely tired of news coming at you from left field, but this trend will continue a little longer. This new moon will oppose Uranus - called the great awakener - so more jolts are on the way for just about everyone, not just Taurus. Each sign will feel the effects of this new moon in different ways.

For Taurus, your trusted assistant or team member may leave, causing a temporary situation of minor chaos. Or, your company may move headquarters to another city, making you wonder whether you want to stay. Worse, you may discover that co-workers or subordinates are working against you, by trying to steal credit for your work, or to make you look bad, unfairly. Or, if your office is stable, a health matter may come up that should be addressed immediately. You've experienced things like this before - you can handle all that the universe will ask of you.

At nearly the same time of the new moon, on October 12, Jupiter and Pluto will be beautifully angled, linking fun and love to travel. This is a rare aspect that suggests profit can be made, especially from foreign shores. If you need to take a business trip or a vacation, start planning. These two planets will be communicating all month, so you are free to choose when to go. I listed a whole host of areas where you may see good money - publishing, broadcasting, international trade of goods, services, or information, any action involved with academia or research (such as through a grant), or through a legal action in the courts.

Mercury, retrograde since September 17, will go direct October 9. Your ruler, Venus, was retrograde recently too, so over recent months you have been in limbo. Venus went direct September 6, but needed time to return to her former strength - that happens on October 9. Prepare for the pace of life to pick up noticeably by mid-October!

Romantically, Venus and Mars are orbiting together as if in a graceful ballet, in an exquisite expression of love. Your allure is high, and Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will conjoin Mars in your house of true love on October 17. This may set off a magical meeting, or if attached, a coming together between the two of you that creates great emotional excitement.

Another spectacular set of days will be October 24-25, a weekend, when Venus, your ruler, will meet with Jupiter, a rare event. This day you can do no wrong, and you will feel the energy building October 23 too. You have an enormous competitive advantage at this time, so use it!
