This has all the makings of a joyful, romantic month. You might be saying to yourself, it’s about time! Indeed, dear Libra, it is. Over the past few years, you’ve met challenges head on and learned a great deal in the process. The years were more work than play, but this month will go a long way to correct all that. Now you will have many planets, plus the new moon and Sun., working on your behalf. This could be a joyful, romantic month, especially from the start through the third week.

Part of the reason for the rosy outlook for your romantic and social life has to do with the new moon that appeared on January 27, just days prior to the start of February. If you are single and not dating, that new moon will provide a ten-day opportunity – one of the best of the year – for you to find the right, lasting love. You must circulate, for you have so much going for you. A meeting may happen quite suddenly, coming like a bolt of lightning, so look your best at all times, even when you are at the post office, the grocery, or drug store. You never know what or when a fateful meeting will occur with so many little cherubs flying through the air with tiny bows and arrows in hand, overseen by Cupid and sent by Uranus, planet of surprise.

Aside from the powerful new moon you have to engender love, you also have Venus, your ruler, in Aries, a fire sign that blends beautifully with your air-sign element of Libra. Venus will be in Aries all month, starting February 3 until June 27 of this year. I will explain later why Venus is staying for months, not the usual weeks in Aries, but for now, suffice to say, enjoy this energy, for you will have plenty to celebrate.

Mars, Venus’ lover, is also in Aries, wonderful news, for Mars and Venus, when together in the heavens, create the spark of love. Remarkably, both Venus and Mars are in your house of marriage and partnership, so your attention will be drawn squarely to the person you are seriously dating, or to the person you are married to. Venus and Mars are powerful enough to have you fall in love with your partner all over again, so plan little things you can do together, and by all means flirt with him or her.

In addition to this sparkling energy, namely, the new moon in Aquarius on January 27, and the meeting of Venus and Mars this month, you ALSO have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, in Libra, for the first time in twelve years, a trend that started last September and that will go until October of this year. Jupiter will expand all your opportunities – this is your Emerald Year, where growth will pop everywhere. VIPs will go out of their way to help you, and you will likely take at least one long-distance trip to a place you have never seen and enjoy all that you see. Jupiter tends to bring his touch of luxury, so your accommodations are likely to be sumptuous. Among the new friends you will make, you have an outstanding chance to fall in love, for Jupiter in your sign is a magnificent aspect for finding, treasuring, and nurturing lasting love.

Against this amazing confluence of planetary activity, we have a very special lunar eclipse in Leo, 23 degrees. This is a full moon, as strong as three full moons rolled into one, and will light your house of friendship. Most eclipses require adjustments, but this one is such a peach that I feel any adjustments you make will be happy ones. A friend may be getting married or changing the status of his or her life in some way, and you will need to adjust to that, but it will be an easy change to adjust to. Open yourself to new people, dear Libra – so much personal growth awaits you.

This month, a friend may go out of his or her way for you, or you may make the acquaintance of someone you like who will later become an important new friend to you. You may join a club, professional or social in nature, and find later it was the best decision you ever made. This part of your chart also rules humanitarian activities, so you may join a group to help build awareness or funding for those who suffer or have been overlooked by society.

The part about this lunar eclipse that I love for you is that it will form an exceedingly rare golden triangle in the sky, with Saturn, planet of stability, at one point, pointing to the planet of surprise, Uranus, based in your seventh house of partnership. Both Saturn and Uranus will form a triangle with the full moon – this is the best, most harmonious aspect you can get.

A friend may trigger the fine opportunity or good news that comes to you now, along with a partner in business or love. Innovation leads to stability and confidence in the future, for Saturn and Uranus will work to unlock this full moon’s happiness. It also seems that some sort of middleman such as an agent, broker, lawyer, or your established romantic partner will have a role to play in bringing you your good news.

The eclipse may bring up a contract for you to sign, for Saturn will be activated by this eclipse. Actually, it’s a good time to sign papers. Next month, your ruler, Venus, will retrograde, from March 4 to April 15, not the best time to sign on to a new venture. Ideally, you would want Venus to be moving in a sure, strong orbit.

Once Venus goes direct on April 15, it will take Venus until May 18 to return to full power. Whether you are starting a business, launching a new product or service, signing on a partner to make a business deal official, or doing something big in your personal life, this is the month to act. Mercury was retrograde from December 19 to January 8, so that planet is doing well, but soon, Mercury will retrograde again, April 9 to May 3. As you see, it’s best to initiate things now, and then tend to those new ventures or relationships during the quieter periods of March, April, and most of May.

I feel that at this eclipse, falling on February 10, so close to Valentine’s Day February 14, many Libras will be excited to be engaged this month. The eleventh house, where this eclipse will fall, not only rules your friendships but also your dearest hopes and wishes. Your desire might center on something material or spiritual in nature – either could come to you now. For example, you might say, I hope to have a new car, or a new computer. Those wishes are material in nature. Or, on a more spiritual level, you might say, I want to find my one true love, or to be married to the person I have been dating, or if all these wishes have been met, it may be to have a baby or to see your child do well in some particular area. You may have an important creative project to reveal soon, and that might be your wish, to see it praised by critics. Or, it could be something else – I want to win a contest, or go to Paris. Whatever your dream happens to be, with this eclipse, so beautifully oriented to other planets, you may just see that dream come true soon. Work on it!

If your birthday falls on October 14 plus or minus four days, you will feel the effects of this eclipse more than your friends who are Libra and born at other times of the sign. The same is true if you have Libra rising 22 degrees, the moon in Libra in that degree, or a natal planet in Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius.

Travel to a distant point could be lots of fun and possibly even profitable on February 21 when Mercury and Jupiter combine forces. This day would also be a perfect time to start or finish up a manuscript, or to start or finish up a broadcasting segment. Communication-oriented projects, or those involving telecommunication, as well as all contractual negotiations, should do well.

Also, special for these types of efforts (listed above), including travel, would be February 23, when Mercury will join forces with practical, long-term thinking Saturn. Saturn’s job is to take an idea and make it materialize – this is the day to have talks to set a timetable to see that your dream happens!

Finally, we come to the solar eclipse on February 26 in Pisces 8 degrees in your sixth house of workaday projects. You may now receive something new to do that you feel has a great opportunity to display your creative ideas. This full moon lunar eclipse will arrive on Neptune’s arm, adding to the prospects of an assignment you will love because the possibilities to add your own imaginative touches will be so strong.

This same house rules your health, and with Jupiter in Libra sending strong and positive vibrations, you will have a great chance to get fit and strong. Make appointments with your doctor to have your annual checkup. Stop in at the dentist and eye doctor too. Spending that one hour at the doctor can change the course of events and help you live better and longer.

Neptune’s presence at this eclipse could bring a test result that seems unclear, so if you need another test, or get one that seems off in some way, ask for another one. There is no harm in doing that. Neptune can sometimes obscure facts, and being so close to the new moon and Sun, I feel compelled to urge you to have another test if one seems to you to be wrong in some way. Also, a different way Neptune could be troublesome is with medicine. Ask about possible side effects. A good part of this solar eclipse’s proximity with Neptune is that you do very well with water therapy, say, in a swimming pool or with water sports such as swimming, if that kind of therapy would apply to your condition.

If a medical problem seems hard to diagnose, be patient. Get a second opinion. When my doctor was throwing his hands in the air over my bleeding ulcers and no matter what we did, my body rejected the medicine, my doctor gave up and hired another specialist for me! Can you believe it? And, the new doctor fixed me up almost immediately, quite a surprise to me, considering I had had two years of suffering and was on mainly rice and water. To be fair, a new medicine appeared on the market just as the new doctor was taking over, and we tried it, and it worked beautifully with none of the horrible side effects of the others. This was the only medicine my body liked after dozens of tryouts with different ones. The first doctor was ready to do three operations on me to remove all my intestines, the only way he could think of to stop the bleeding. Oh, my goodness! Don’t give up, dear Libra! I am good now!

This new moon is very positive, so use it to your advantage!

February has hearts flying, for it will be one of your most mystical, magical months of the year for enjoying love, sweet love. The new moon of January 27 set the agenda, and by the time you get to the first days of this month, your forecast for finding breathless romance is very strong. During the first week of February, Venus and Mars will be orbiting within range of each other in your marriage / partnering sector, a big advantage.

These two little lovey-dovey planets adore being together but rarely are, so romantic Venus and Mars usually have to be satisfied with gazing at one another across a twinkling, star studded sky. Now they are within touching distance, five degrees, and because Venus is your ruling planet, this will benefit you too. As you may have guessed, this pairing of Venus and Mars will give the edge to Libra who are already coupled up, whether dating seriously or married, but single Libra should have fun too, for all Libras will have magnetic sex appeal.

Uranus rules your house of true love, so all Libras should enjoy February 9, when Uranus sends a golden beam to the Sun, and on the following day, February 10, when Jupiter in Libra collaborates with the Sun in Aquarius.

The full moon lunar eclipse will be in Leo, February 10, and will draw your attention to your friends. Your relationship with a friend is about to change, so your friend may be getting married, moving away, or in some way announcing news that will automatically cause a shift in your relationship. Eclipses tend to bring life changes and important events we long remember. Many eclipses are jarring, but not this one – this one is as sweet as a cupcake with vanilla icing, so it may be that your friend will do something for you that you find touching.

At the same time, you may also attend a special event over the weekend of February 11-12, attended by a great many people – it will be fun, and if single, you may meet someone there. Because this eclipse sends a tight mathematical beam to Uranus, you may be surprised when you meet someone new. Or, if attached, you may be amazed when your partner makes a proposal (or it may be that you may impulsively give one)! If you are already attached, news your committed partner brings to you should set your heart on fire. It’s all good in this very special month.

Valentine’s Day, February 14, will bring the moon to Libra, making this your night to shine. The transiting Sun, still in your true love sector, will send a beam to Saturn in your house of true love, bringing you a warm feeling of stability and security with the one you love. If you are attached and ready for a baby, your partner is, too. There’s no reason to wait. If you need the help of a fertility specialist, make the appointment in February.

This month has two eclipses, and the second one, February 26, will arrive as a new moon solar eclipse in Pisces. This will bring many changes to your work atmosphere, and may also reveal a secret that has been bubbling under the surface for some time, such as your trusted assistant is quitting or the company is streamlining again. No matter what happens, all changes will be in your interest, a fact you will see revealed in time. In the meantime, Neptune will be playing a big role, so new projects that come in after this date will allow room for you to make a big creative contribution.

When starting projects, ask lots of questions, for there is some indication that you, or co-workers, will be confused about what is needed. Going the extra mile to be sure everyone is on the same page for the project will save time later.
