You have one of the sweetest birthday months in years ahead, dear Leo. You will love August! I am so excited to tell you about how very special this month will be for you. Your birthday months have not always been this sweet, but finally, the universe is making a correction for you, to help you see progress on your dearest goals.

The month starts off with two lovely aspects on August 1. The first brings a perfect agreement between the Sun and Saturn. Your ruling star is the Sun, so any positive configuration that includes the Sun automatically places you front and center, and likely to receive lots of benefits. Saturn will bring his gifts of stability and longevity to all that you do on this day. It would be a good day to sign a contract, and also to see others offer tips and recommends.

If you need to see a doctor, use the days of August 1 or 2, for you are likely to get realistic, objective advice that you can likely trust. On the same day, Venus will be within a degree-and-a-half of a trine alignment with Uranus (a trine is the happiest aspect you can get), suggesting that you may be traveling or earning money from an international or distant source. The publishing, broadcasting, and digital world could also prove to be lucrative area of financial growth.

The new moon will occur in Leo on August 2, and will act like a friend whose only aim is to see you do well. This will be the most important new moon of the year for you, and it’s chock full of goodness. Again, Saturn will be helpful to the Sun and new moon, adding gifts of health and healing – possible closeness or even commitment may develop with the one you love. Mars will be close enough to energize and motivate you to go after a dream that is dearly important to you, too, and it will be a personal aim so important to you that only you – not friends and family – would know what that might be. Jupiter in your money house will be sending a smile and a nod to Mars, planet of action.

You only get one new moon a year in Leo, and so if you act within a few days of that new moon, you will benefit from the progress you make now for a full year. By then, the next new moon in Leo will come back to refresh this one, the one of August 2 this year – that’s how new moons work. It’s rare to have a new moon that won’t have any tough planets acting up on the sidelines to lessen its power, but instead this one will be as sweet as sugar.

New moons are for planting seeds, so you won’t have to grasp your dream, but you will have to begin the steps in early August if you hope to reach it within the coming months. A new moon will give you up to two weeks to act, but you need to start to work on your dream immediately, for the energy of that new moon will become gradually weaker with each passing day. When you initiate an action just after a new moon appears (this month that’s August 2), it counts for quite a bit in astrology. This should be an exciting week, for others will want to lend a hand to help you reach your goals.

This new moon might also be a time you will be motivated to change your look – new hairstyle, new type clothing – you get the idea. It doesn’t matter if you are a man or woman, your style could change now because this new moon will present a point when you may see yourself in a new light, and get more confidence as a result.

If your birthday falls on August 2, plus or minus five days, this new moon will bring you a double dip of pleasure. The same is true if you have Leo rising, 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, or a natal planet in Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Sagittarius at 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.

You do have to move things along quickly because at month’s end, you will encounter delays. Mercury will begin to retrograde on August 30 and that way until September 21. This means that if you hope to buy electronics soon, such as a new computer, smart phone, or headphones, you need to buy them early in the month. I particularly like August 16 to go shopping when the Sun and Uranus will be in ideal sync. Uranus rules all inventions, including those in found in the digital world.

The very latest you can purchase your electronics without running into problems with Mercury retrograde would be August 22, another stellar day (stay with me – I’ll explain later). That would be the deadline. Any later, you’ll be pulled into the approaching delays and obstacles that is the hallmark of Mercury retrograde. Purchase your items in early in August, or wait until several days after September 22 (giving the turnaround of Mercury retrograde a bit of space.)

You might travel over August 16, a great time to go, even if you haven’t planned to go away this month. Be spontaneous! It will be such fun, for Uranus will receive golden rays from the Sun. If you work internationally, you may be surprised how well a project goes, or how willing a client will be to work with you. You might bring your partner along, for Uranus rules your seventh house of significant other. Because the Sun is involved in this aspect, your name is being called out!

The first half of the month will be time to think about you, and after that, once you reach the full moon, August 18 in Aquarius 26 degrees, you will be thinking about your partner. This person may be someone you love and hope to marry – a great time to get engaged or married. Or you may want to make a business affiliation official. This may be a business partner, agent, lawyer, accountant, publicist, writing partner, or other individual who will work with you in a one-on-one way. I love that Uranus will again be active, meaning this full moon brings a surprise or make you feel playful and impulsive in a charming way.

If your birthday falls on August 18, plus or minus five days, you will feel this full moon the most of all the Leos reading this page. Because this full moon falls on your birthday (or close to it), it means that something of enormous importance is coming to fruition this coming birthday year. It appears to be something you’ve worked toward for a long time, and now it’s in the palm of your hand, quite unexpectedly.

You might think this is all the month holds for you, but there is more! First, I need to give you a bit of background. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, has been in your house of earned income since last August 2015. This means you are in a period of enormous reward, and hopefully, the past months have been strong financially. Now Jupiter is ready to leave the second house of income and move on, and the other planets are about to surround him to give him a proper sendoff as he gets ready to enter Libra in early September. Once Jupiter leaves, he will not be back to Virgo and your second house of income for twelve years.

If you say, “Wait, I haven’t made the money I was supposed to have made! I need more time!” I say, you will get a second chance this month on several occasions.

The new moon will occur in Leo on August 2, and will act like a friend whose only aim is to see you do well.

The first dates will be August 21-22 (depending on your time zone, but I am splitting hairs – both will be important for you). Mercury will be conjunct Jupiter in Virgo for the first time in this zodiac sign in twelve years. This makes these dates uncommonly superb days for negotiation, buying and selling, and for signing a contract. These two planets will meet in your second house of earned income, a dazzling day to see money as reward. This will also be a day when a friend will look out for you – possibly recommending you for a situation that will bring you that increase in salary or a special fee.

On August 27, which is a Saturday, Venus will be conjunct Jupiter. A conjunction as you have here, or above on August 21-22, is considered the strongest aspect you can get in astrology. On this weekend, you might want to buy a piece of art or a beautiful piece of jewelry that would represent an investment. Or, you might want to sell your artistic creation. There are two other possibilities on this sensational day, and the first that you may travel with your sweetheart, and because money appears to be coming in, you will splurge on luxury accommodations. Also, because Venus is the natural ruler of your tenth house of fame, the reason you may hear that more money is coming to you on August 27, or the day leading to this day, August 26, is that you will rise in status with a new position being offered to you.

As if this news were not enough, you have a new moon solar eclipse on September 1 that will also open a portal for you to again earn more money – if you ask for the raise or investigate offers. Jupiter will be leaving Virgo on September 9, but you have plenty of opportunity coming up between then and now. Start to look at ways to increase your cash flow – you will find lots of ways if you look.

It’s August and you may have already celebrated your birthday in July, or are looking forward to doing so soon now. The cosmos wants you to kick up your heels, and to help you find ways to do that, you will have one of the best new moons of the year to help you on August 2, falling in Leo.

No matter what your goals happen to be, this exciting, warm, and friendly new moon will help you to progress beautifully toward grasping a dream that is dear to your heart. Saturn will be in ideal angle to that new moon, so if you hope to fall in love, maintain a great relationship, or get pregnant and have a baby is, Saturn will help you achieve all you hope to do. If, on the other hand, your goal is to excel on a creative venture, as Leos are known to do, this new moon will help you stand head and shoulders above the rest.

You might want to put a ring around August 16, sure to be a favorite day filled with surprise and happiness. If you need a day to talk about forming an international relationship, file immigration papers, or have an interview or test for immigration, this would be your day. You can set up a deal for import-export, or in academia – such as a day to defend your thesis – or get good news about a broadcasting or publishing project, or offer an idea to the other party during a court trail to get things resolved. Do any of these on this sparkling day. If you write for a living, you may get one of your books translated into another language now.

You will have a powerful full moon on August 18, in Aquarius, ruling the state of your committed relationship. Uranus will be active, so positive, unexpected news is likely to come up involving one close relationship. You may get engaged or wed, but if you have been unhappy, you might break up. Because this full moon is so darling in every way, an upsetting outcome is highly unlikely. One thing is for sure – it will give you closure on the state of one close relationship within four days of August 16.

You could receive excellent news about money, August 22, when Mercury (deals) will conjoin Jupiter (growth and profit) and meet in your salary and personal wealth house. News would arrive as a phone call, email, or by letter, informing you that you have been approved a raise, or you may be heading to a better job that will pay you generously.

If you need to sign papers, you need to sign early in the month. You can sign on August 1, when the Sun, your ruler, will be in sync with Saturn, planet of long-term gain. Or, sign on August 22, one of the best days of all of 2016 to do so.

August 26 or 27 could bring more exciting news about money that should come to you, or it may be that you will be ready to buy something very expensive.

By September 1, a powerful solar eclipse may change the source of income for you, and all the news will be news you love.

When Mercury goes retrograde, August 30 to September 21, you should not sign any papers, and certainly not near an eclipse (September 1 and 16 next month). If you cannot have the paperwork ready this month, put off until late next month.
