This will be a huge month for news, and it could well represent a turning point, where from now on you may decide to follow a new path. Eclipse season is upon us, and those cosmic events are known to bring opportunity, growth, change, and hidden truths out in the open. Often, an eclipse will require a sudden need for adjustment.

As you enter September, you are at the end of a long trend of financial growth that started last year near your birthday, on August 10, 2015, and that extended to this month, thirteen months later, to September 9, 2016. This month, on September 9, Jupiter will enter another part of your chart and begin to help you in new ways.

This month is a major month for other reasons. We have two eclipses, one, a solar new moon eclipse in Virgo, September 1, and a full moon lunar eclipse in Pisces, September 16. Both will bring big changes and focus you entirely on money. Also, Mars, which has been in Sagittarius for months, will finally leave on September 27 when it enters Capricorn for the coming seven weeks. As if that were enough news, this month also holds the year’s luckiest days of the year, September 25-26! I have lots to tell you, so let’s get started.

As said, the month starts off, September 1 brings a new moon solar eclipse in Virgo 9 degrees. This new moon will arrive with an entourage including the mighty Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. This is the last major aspect Jupiter will make in this decade concerning your salary and other earned income, and it is a beautiful one.

Jupiter will conjunct Mercury at the time of the eclipse and do so in your house of financial income. I cannot imagine a better situation than having this aspect. Even enforced changes will benefit you, for one way or another you will find a way to earn more money and end the month richer than when you entered it. If you should lose a source of income, immediately look for options, as you will find them, ideally prior to September 9, the date when Jupiter, the good fortune planet, will leave your house of earned income.

Think back to September 1, 1997, what were you doing at that time? The world had an eclipse back then at the same sign, Virgo, and degree, 9 degrees, as we have now. Of course the other planets have since moved into different signs and houses (Jupiter was not in your financial house to protect you), but if you can pinpoint a theme that came up back then, you may get a clue of what is to come up now.

Also, think back to March of this year. Did you change jobs or get an increase in salary? If you are self-employed, did you get a new client or see your income emanate from a new source? If so, you will likely be lucky once more by seeing a rise in earned income again just after September 1.

This solar eclipse September 1 does have several difficult planets. Mars and Saturn have both been orbiting in lockstep for several weeks, and this is a yes-no, start-stop, go-hold back kind of energy. If you feel conflicted about what to do about a love relationship, perhaps concerning money and spending or saving, this is the reason. Mars and Saturn are both in your house of true love, involving your dating life, but not your marriage partner, who would be found governed by a different part of the chart (the seventh house).

Because Mars and Saturn are both in hard angles to this eclipse in your financial house, you might have a disagreement with the person you are dating over money, or you may learn you will have a large expense to pay out regarding your child, or, if you have had problems getting pregnant, for a fertilization protocol that your doctor will suggest. Alternatively, you may have to put more money into a creative project that is suddenly having overruns. I say this because the fifth house, where Mars and Saturn are found, also rules creativity.

The full moon lunar eclipse on September 16 in Pisces 24 degrees will end a financial matter, because that’s what full moons do – end things. You may reach final accord over the division of property in a divorce, over the final sharing of profits at the end of a business, or you may get a letter from an insurance company or government agency about a settlement for damages you suffered. You may hear back from your university about financial aid (especially if you appealed the results earlier, the reason you may be hearing as the semester begins). Or, if you applied for a bank loan, mortgage, refinancing plan, the letter or phone call may now arrive. It’s alternatively possible that you might hear back from your investor about venture capital, or your lawyer about an inheritance.

Although Saturn is too far away to cause problems at the September 16 eclipse, Mars will continue to stir the pot, so you may have disagreements about how to settle this financial matter before it is done. You will finish talks within three days of September 16. On this eclipse, September 16, look at all the documents given to you at this time with a magnifying glass. Neptune will be opposed to the full moon lunar eclipse, so you will need to know that all financial documents are complete and accurate. You may be dealing with someone who would rather you not see the entire financial picture. The only way to deal with this is to listen to your intuition. (Neptune is the planet of intuition and will help you.)

Jupiter will have moved out of Virgo by the time this lunar full moon eclipse September 16 in Pisces occurs, so you won’t have the powerful financial support you had with the first eclipse, September 1. Perhaps you can schedule negotiations for early in the month, before Jupiter departs on September 9. Having said that, eclipses have a way of crystallizing situations within days of the date they appear – we often see events have a life of their own at this time.

Mercury will retrograde from August 30 to September 22, and you probably already know this if you follow me on Twitter @ AstrologyZone. Mercury will retrograde in your financial earned income sector (second house) the entire month, so you may find that payments to you are late. Keep sending gentle reminder statements so that hopefully you won’t have to wait until after September 22 to get your money.

You may be ready to buy something expensive this month, for Jupiter will be burning a hole in your pocket. You may have your eye on an electronic item, a car, a house, piece of art, jewelry, or something else that is costly and beautiful. Do your best not to buy during Mercury retrograde, for you may have buyer’s remorse later. It may be that you will buy the wrong model, or a defective item that later will be recalled, or something that simply does not give you the pleasure that you anticipated.

It is generally not wise to start a new job (or accept one) during Mercury retrograde either, as the job description is likely to change radically later, and not in a way you will like. If you need a job, take it, for being unemployed is very stressful, but keep in the back of your mind that you probably won’t stay there long. If you are going back to a company you loved working for, or to a boss who once hired you, that’s okay to do during the retrograde. Mercury will want you to go back to relationships and situations of the past to reconnect and make more of that relationship.

Speaking of work projects, you will be entering a very busy time at month’s end, when Mars enters Capricorn from September 27 to November 8. Lots of new projects will spout up, and your services will be in demand. This may also be a time when you will start to think about shaping up by working out – a good time to start gently (assuming your doctor gives you the nod to do so). It seems you will have to pay attention to budgets and oversee hiring new recruits to take care of all the work that will flow in the minute October begins.

Now for the best news of all! Planet of good fortune, Jupiter, will enter Libra, an air sign that blends well with your fire sign element, making it easier for you to absorb Jupiter’s gifts. Jupiter is heading to your third house of communication, and so in the coming months you will learn to communicate effectively in a new way. Your creativity will be trained on literary pursuits (if this has not yet happened), and if you are an actor, you may get a role where you will need to learn to speak with an accent or even an entirely made up language, as Hollywood is known to do to keep the integrity of the characters and the plot. As an example, this happened in these famous movies: Avatar, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings.

During the coming year – and Jupiter will be with you until October 10, 2017 – you will learn to negotiate more effectively for yourself and others. You can polish your writing or public speaking style, start to write columns for blogs or magazines, and if you have an idea for a book or screenplay, you can see your work funded and promoted.

Also as part of this exciting trend, you may get unusually strong support from your sister, brother, or cousin, perhaps by giving you superb advice or an introduction. Or, conversely, you may hear that your sibling or cousin has exciting, exceptional news to share.

This same part of your chart that will be so lit up – your third house – rules quick journeys, so you might be traveling as short distance quite a bit in the coming thirteen months. If you work in sales, or own your own business, you will likely find that your best clients – the ones that bring you the most business – will increasingly be based out of town, not too far away from your base. Their headquarters might be the short distance that is between London and Paris, New York and Washington DC, or Los Angeles and San Francisco, as some examples. You may need a new car in the coming year, and as long as you don’t buy it when Mercury is retrograde, you will get a car that you love and can’t wait to use each day.

One day that will show you the power of Jupiter in Libra will be when the luckiest day of the year arrives, September 25-26. On this day, Jupiter will conjoin the Sun, giving you such an outstanding day to see happiness. Use one of these two days to reach for something hard to achieve. Hand in your manuscript for a book to be published. Make a sales presentation or sign a contract (by this point of the month, Mercury will be direct). Launch an advertising or new publicity campaign. On the weekend of September 25-26, take a trip. On these days, luck will be powerfully on your side. You are ruled by the Sun, so this day should stand out as one of your favorites of all of 2016.

When you have the luckiest day of the year, the glow lasts for one day plus or minus before or after September 25-26. For a more sustained energy, you need a new moon. In this month that has everything, you will have precisely that vital new moon, coming at month’s end.

This new moon, in Libra, September 30 at 8 degrees, is one of the finest new moons of the year. Again, the topic of communication, negotiation, and travel will come up. This is my favorite new moon of all of 2016 for you. Because the new moon is in Libra, it is tailor made for collaborations.

If your birthday falls on July 30, plus or minus five days, you will benefit from this glorious new moon the most. The same is true if you have Leo rising 8 degrees, or a natal planet in Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, Libra, Gemini, or Aquarius, 8 degrees, and in all cases, including Libra rising, give a plus or minus five degrees tolerance. Still, all Leos will have something to celebrate, for this new moon is almost flawless.

It appears a completely new source of income is about to come to you, and it will be a more generous amount than you had earned previously. Jupiter, Mercury, the Sun, and new moon solar eclipse of September 1 will be shining in your solar second house of earned income, helping you every step of the way, and although you may have to get over a few speed bumps to completely enjoy the financial rewards that seem destined for you now, you can meet those obstacles, and triumph. The eclipse will be in Virgo, a sign that rules communication, so the money you earn may have to do with writing, editing, proofing, fact checking, acting, sales, marketing, public relations, or social media. Transportation and shipping, express mail, or courier industries are also glowing. Any papers you will be given to sign will be very detailed, and you will need a lawyer to assist you.

The full moon lunar eclipse, September 16, will also accent your finances, this time from your solar eighth house of other people’s money. You may get news that you won a contest or are to receive a large inheritance, a bonus, commission, or licensing fee. It may be a time when you agree on the final details of a divorce, or if you are starting a business, how much each partner will contribute. This is an important month to see the money that Jupiter in 2016 promised to deliver to you – if you haven’t seen your large bounty, you might in the first days of September. Your most pressing problem may be to decide how to best manage the money that comes to you now.

It would be best to study your options for investment or spending but not act on those options that you choose until Mercury, the planet of thinking, perception, negotiation, decision-making, and agreements, goes direct, a trend that started August 30 and will continue until September 22. When Mercury is out of phase you are liable to make decisions based on less than full information and often regret those choices later. Give yourself the gift of time to think things through. If anyone owes you money, this will be a good time to get in contact and requires payment.

Jupiter will move into your third house of travel and communication on September 9, 2016, to stay until October 10, 2017. In that time, you are likely to learn to communicate in an entirely new way, and in a new venue. You may start a blog, TV, or radio show, or write a newsletter. If you are a veteran writer, say, writing columns for magazines, you may begin a book now, and if so, your timing would be perfect. Watch what happens on September 25-26 when the Sun and Jupiter will meet on your behalf in Libra, and start to cook up opportunity in the communications / travel / shipping arena that may bring enormous profits.

You will travel to nearby cities more than usual in the coming year, so you may need to buy a new car. If so, don’t buy it now, but wait until after Mercury goes direct on September 22 – leave some space of days after that date to act on that acquisition.

I didn’t get to address your love life in the main forecast, so I will do it now. Venus will be in this same third house travel sector from the start of the month to September 23, so it seems clear that your romantic life will blossom when you’re traveling. Perhaps you will choose to go to a nearby resort where successful singles go on weekends.

Mars has been lighting your true love sector since March of this year (with the exception of June and July when Mars was in your home sector). You’ve been enjoying an exceedingly long time to have Mars emphasize your romantic life, which is usually a good development, but in your case, love relationships have not been entirely easy for you to navigate.

Saturn is in your true love sector, too, along with Mars, so you may have been separated from your sweetheart at long intervals due to circumstances beyond your control. Your partner may have had to work long hours or travel a great deal for work. Or your one true love may be in a university getting a degree and based far from you. This is evidence of Saturn testing your commitment to one another. With Mars moving out of the picture in this house on September 27, your relationship might become smoother, and soon, less fraught with radical ups and downs.

A change is coming in your love life, and although you will continue to feel some indecision about moving ahead with your relationship (or in regard to having a baby), you won’t completely resolve things until Saturn leaves this house in a little over a year from now, on December 2017. By then, you will see a major improvement. Until then, Saturn will tutor you in matters of the heart in a once-in-29-year trend, so listen up to all that Saturn is showing you, and you’ll be all the wiser for it.
