As you begin May, you are feeling that you need a little time off, and certainly some fun. You will have time to relax – the universe will see to that now – even though you will be very busy at work. No matter, the work you are doing now is being noticed, and when it is time for a VIP to decide whether to advance you to a new title and more responsibility, the work you are doing now will count. You can find ways to improve your health, your social life will shine, and even your home can now undergo a transformation with a new design, furniture, or for some rooms, a coat of paint.

As you begin May, the love-oriented new moon of April 26, in Taurus, is still exerting a powerful influence on you. If you are single and looking for love, this new moon was in the right position to help you, squarely in your house of true love. Pluto was watching from his perch in Capricorn, which is no small assistance. Pluto has the power to change your life from inside out, so have faith and venture forth, confident this month you can find the one who is right for you.

If your birthday falls on December 26, plus or minus four days, you will feel this new moon the most. If you have Capricorn rising or the natal moon at 5 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, you too will benefit. Finally, if you have a natal planet within five degrees of Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, you too will feel the energies of this new moon in early May.

Admittedly, there was a flaw in that new moon. A new moon in Taurus always loops Taurus’ ruler into the conversation, that that’s Venus. At the time that new moon appeared, Venus was having a major disagreement with Saturn, your ruler. Saturn tells us we have to be objective and realistic, so when obligations came up – and that may still come up – you will have to take care of those first.

Another big social moment for you will be at the full moon May 10 in Scorpio, 20 degrees, to be strong within four days before or after its appearance. This full moon could be your happiest moment of the month. Pluto in Capricorn will be outstandingly friendly to that full moon, so an influential person you know socially will likely go out of his or her way to help you in some way. In fact, you may get news one day prior to the full moon that a large sum of money is about to come to you as a result of that person’s effort.

Neptune will be equally in a beautiful position and in sync with the full moon, adding a dream-like, elegant quality to your social experience mid-month. It’s possible you will be attending an event, such as a friend’s wedding or engagement party, or a charity fundraiser. If so, it seems you will have to travel a short distance, within a day’s drive, to this event. If you are not invited to an event, you might instead want to travel. Make it a short distance, to a breathtakingly beautiful, very private spot near water.

If your birthday falls on January 10 plus or minus ten days, the May 10 full moon will be a major day in your timeline. It will bring you fun, friendship, an event, possible travel, and a truly beautiful experience. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising or the natal moon in Capricorn at 20 degrees plus or minus five degrees. Also, if you know your chart, look to see if you have a natal planet in Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Pisces, Scorpio, or Cancer at 20 degrees, plus or minus five degrees

All indications are that you’ll be crazy busy at work, with many bits and pieces to keep on track and shepherd through the tunnel to completion. All the while you’ll have phone calls to return, emails to write, meetings to attend, and throughout you will feel the continual pressure to perform. You appear to be handling two important projects at once, as Gemini is a double-bodied sign, the sign of twins. If you are self-employed, you will be able to easily generate new business. Wow, this is a five-star day, linking all you have been doing on a day-to-day basis, but with special emphasis on what you are doing now, to the stellar reputation you appear to be building in your industry. You will see how highly regarded you are these days, dear Capricorn.

Just when you assumed you couldn’t handle any more projects, two more are likely to come in the door after the new moon in Gemini 5 degrees on May 25. All new moons have two weeks of energy that flow after it, so those new assignments may come in at any time during those two weeks. You seem to have a balanced month, with work and love, so you are in a better position than most. Keep reminding yourself that it is good to have a job. There are many people who would gladly trade places with you.

Mars, as said earlier, will be in your work assignment sector (sixth house), so it looks like you will be using your home office quite a bit. I say that because Mars is the natural ruler of your house of home. This month, work seems more productive when you are away from will meaning co-workers who burn your time. Work at home in May (if you can do so), and you will get more than usual done.

I have one more comment about your work life. Your tenth house rules your career reputation (not the day-to-day work you do, but the sum total of your stature). I mentioned that house when I talked about the dazzling aspect coming on May 12.

Venus is the planet that controls that tenth house of honors for Capricorn, so when Venus was retrograde in March and April, you were finding it hard to make progress. No matter how hard you tried, you may have felt you were taking two steps forward and one step back, over and over.  Now, by May 18, Venus will be fully rehabilitated and off you go, skateboarding forward in your profession at the speed of light – no competitor will be able to surpass you now!

If you lost a job or interviewed for one over the past two months, or pitched a new client, and were passed over, the crazy people who made that decision did you a favor. The planets weren’t in the right position yet for you, but they are now. You will feel this truth and see the evidence of it very soon. Don’t let anything that happened to you in March or April take away your confidence. Let’s talk about your home, for I have great news for you. Saturn is your ruler, so anytime Saturn makes a decisive aspect, that’s important for you to know about. This month is very special in that Saturn will reach out to surprise-a-minute Uranus in a divinely friendly way. This almost never happens, because Saturn takes 29 years to circle the Sun, and Uranus takes 84 years to do the same. As you see, these planets inch along the sky, and with their wildly different orbits, it’s nearly impossible to get them in perfect position.

This year, 2017, they will be in heavenly 120-degree trine (taken from the word triangle). That means Saturn and Uranus will be that many degrees from each other, considered the most harmonious aspect possible, and likely to bring considerable opportunity. There would be three hits of these two planets at this time. The first one happened just days before 2017 on December 24, 2016; then we will have another this month on May 18, and the last one will arrive on November 11, 2017. After that, these two planets will spin off in different directions – they won’t meet in similar fashion again until 2047.

Uranus is in your home sector, the reason so many Capricorns have moved so often in the past few years. Uranus is a planet that suddenly uproots, but this month, Saturn will be ideal support to Uranus, allowing you to set up structure and make innovations to your home that you will love. I say this realizing last month was likely tough mid-month. Remarkably, over 1,000 readers collectively answered my question on Facebook (account: Susan Miller) and Twitter (@AstrologyZone), and most reported that full moon of April 10 was a nightmare for them. It was in Aries, and the problem was that Uranus opposed that full moon precisely, leaving everyone’s nerves on edge.

That full moon of April 10 last month fell in your fourth house of home and family, so if you had a hard time, I still say, keep the faith. Saturn and Uranus will be in lovely condition all year. These two planets will work with you to gradually stabilize your home life, just when you thought that would almost never be possible. Saturn and Uranus don’t have to make a perfect mathematical alignment to help you as they will this month on May 18 (and again on November 11 later this year). They will be what astrologers call within orb all year.

Uranus will TRANSIT your fourth house of home, but this planet RULES your second house of personal finances. If you need money to improve your living conditions, you will find it, much to your surprise, as Uranus rules sudden surprises. The money may come from your parents as a loan or outright gift, from a bank as a home improvement loan, or from another source you are not expecting. If you are trying to buy a house or sell one, your timing is excellent, especially near May 18, not only because these two planets will be in such gorgeous sync, but also because Venus and Mercury will be at full power by then. Venus will be in Aries all month and brighten your house of home, allowing you to find beautiful furniture, accessories, paint colors, and other design choices you will love.

Generally, this aspect, Saturn in trine angle to Uranus, will affect you in other positive ways too. Uranus is the planet of innovation and high tech inventions, rebellion, and disruption. Saturn is the planet of caution, stability, and structure. The exciting news is that these two very different planets, coming from very different perspectives in our solar system, will work together to create a better world. Take a judicious risk, be in step with the times, and you will be rewarded.

You might be walking on air with romantic feelings of love in your heart as you enter May. The new moon that just occurred, April 26, sent a request to Cupid and his little fleet of angels to watch over you. Those little cherubs are doing a good job and are still present. If you are hoping to find love, you have never had a better time to circulate. Pluto, in the wings, sent a missive to that new moon to raise your profile, presence, and confidence in all social situations.

In March and April, Venus was retrograde, rendering Venus weak and ineffective, and making you pull your hair out with changes and false starts. It will take Venus time to reach former strength – May 18 – but even before you get to mid-month, when it comes to love, each day in May will bring increasingly better news for you. From the start of May, be determined to circulate and when you do, be open to all types.

If you like, you can give a successful party of any size at home because Venus will spend much time in your home sector. (To gather up the good fortune Venus portends, you must give your party at home, not a restaurant or club.) Better yet, during the last week of May, love-planet Venus will move toward a conjunction with Uranus, planet of surprise, an ideal time for a cocktail party, a barbeque, picnic, or sit-down dinner party. If giving a party appeals to you, do it over the weekend of May 27-28 or Memorial Day (US), May 29.

You will have a glorious month, for May will strongly focus on your socializing. You may want to pick up some new things to wear for your many varied activities. On May 10, the full moon, it appears you will attend a party populated by many warm and friendly people, thanks to Pluto’s golden beam, and the guests you meet will be quite successful.

Although the month has a strong romantic and social vibration, you will be busy at work too. If you are self-employed, you will be happily involved with the busy buzz of things to do at the office. You can bring in a lot of new business too – at least two lucrative clients seem poised to choose you to head up the project. If you work for others, you will likely be given the most important projects in the department. If you are self-employed or in sales, new business will easily flow in from previous clients and new ones, for you will be the company star this month. The new moon, May 25, and the days and weeks that follow it, will bring the biggest boost to business.

It might be love that will motivate you to go back to the gym this month, for Mars will encourage you from the very start of May to think about committing to a fitness program or to get lessons in a sport you enjoy. The new moon, May 25, will be a perfect time for designing a new routine. In short order, you will be feeling strong and looking sleek, in time for upcoming visits to the beach.

Finally, many Capricorns have had to move their residence in recent years, and some members of your sign moved more than once. The reasons are varied: some Capricorns moved for career advancement (and those opportunities continue to be powerful this year), others moved to be near family, and still others wanted to change the energy and start fresh.
