This is a month almost entirely divided in two parts: the first three weeks will be enchanting for love and romance, and the last part, for juicy, highly desirable work projects. You need to go with the rhythm of the month for best results, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get ahead in your career in the first weeks. You can, must, and will. I will explain all to you in detail.

As July opens, joy is in the air. Songbirds and doves fly. You may be newly in love or in the right frame of mind to meet someone new. If you are dating awhile, you can easily find ways to bond closer. You are feeling lighthearted, thanks to the move of Mars to Cancer, a place Mars entered on June 4 and will stay until July 20.

To bolster Mars’ energy – in Cancer for the first time in two years – you also had a sweet new moon last month on June 23 to open opportunity for romance. New moons have a very special function, that is, to package the energy in the heavens and make it accessible to you – without a new moon, alas, not much can happen, but you HAVE the new moon you need now. Think of a new moon as a portal of energy that you can take advantage of, if you like – the choice is yours. It will be up to you to show your intent to the universe by making an initiation, and if you do, you will be rewarded.

The new moon of June 23 is still strong as you enter July. In the first three week of July can travel, socialize, have fun being with children, or decide to get pregnant (good timing). You can participate or watch leisure sports, or focus on a creative project, for yourself or for your work. Your creativity will be sky-high this month, so laser this energy into any project you please. None of these delicious activities are mutually exclusive – you can do one or all of them. If you are in love, it would be a wonderful idea to schedule time together, and if you cannot travel due to obligations, then at least choose to have a leisurely, memorable, romantic dinner.

If your birthday falls on March 8, plus or minus four days, you will feel this full moon the most. The same is true if you have Pisces rising 17 degrees or the natal moon in Pisces at 17 degrees, in both cases plus or minus five degrees. If you have a natal planet in Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, 17 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, that planet will be very lit up and capable of bringing you many benefits.

One of your favorite days – aside from the full moon which I am about to tell you about next – will be July 5, when Neptune and the Sun will be beautifully aligned. Neptune is your ruler, giving you all the poetry and lyricism your sign is known to possess. This day might be magically romantic, or a four-star day to work on a creative project or to present your ideas about a special one to an influential person.

Your social life seems to have a special event happening over the July 8-9 weekend, the full moon in Capricorn, 17 degrees. This full moon may bring a long-held wish to fruition within four days of this date, for it lights the eleventh house that the ancients wrote is the place where hopes and wishes – one – will be materialized. You also seem to be with friends and new acquaintances at this time – all will be happy, warm people who will be welcoming to you. You may be going to a wedding, birthday party, exciting sporting event, dinner with friends, baby shower, charity ball, or other type of celebratory event. This new moon will arrive arm-in-arm with Pluto, so the new people you meet will be highly successful, influential types. Full moons bring enormous energy, and emotions are heightened, this time in an excited, happy way.

Your attention will change once you get to July 20, for at that time Mars will enter Leo, and your sixth house of workaday projects. This is the first time in two years that Mars will come by in this sign and part of your chart. This change will energize your work life in a big way, and you won’t have time to travel in August unless it’s done for business. Your sixth house of assignments will be blazing with energy, thanks to the presence of active, competitive Mars from July 20 to September 5, along with the Sun (until August 22) and Mercury (until September 18). Due to a confluence of events, everybody of every sign will be drawn to activities to whatever house in the chart is ruled by Leo.

    Once you get to July 20, Mars will enter Leo, and your sixth house of workaday projects. This change will energize your work life in a big way, and you’ll make money. You won’t have time to travel in August unless it’s done for business.

To make this truth more vivid, at the new moon this month, July 23, in Leo, 1 degree, you will get plum assignments that will work to bolster your reputation. By the time promotions are given out in December, if you do well with the ones you have on your plate in late July and August, you will be in line for quite a bit of applause and rise in prestige. If you are self-employed, you can now bring in impressive clients. If you want part-time or freelance work, look for it, for opportunity will be plentiful.

The industries of entertainment will be especially bright for you, as well as work in all the cultural arts. If you work in any phase of the luxury market – including such products as imported champagne, costly jewels and watches, fine perfumes, imported chocolates, designer clothing, yachts, real estate sales of mansions and estates, high end automobiles – expensive things like these are ruled by Leo, too, and represent another area you would do well.

What makes this area of your chart even more important is that the next new moon that will come by next month on August 21 will ALSO fall in Leo, this time at 29 degrees. Two new moons in a row in the same sign – in this case Leo – is remarkable. Normally, each month a new moon occurs in a different sign, energizing a very different part of your chart. This time, however, the universe will strongly focus you on your work projects. Something about what you will be asked to do now is important and is weighty, and a lot is riding on how well you perform. Take those assignments seriously. There’s more news. The second new moon next month on August 21 is a total eclipse of the Sun. (All solar eclipses are new moons, but of course, not all new moons are solar eclipses.)

Eclipses have a very special role in astrology. A solar eclipse is as strong as three typical new moons rolled into one. After the eclipse appears, the blast of wind you will feel – like a hand at your back, pushing you forward at dizzying speed – will be noticeable. Life will change for the better, for the eclipses in August are outstandingly positive. They move up timetables, bring surprises, and open doors.

The sixth house, so lit up for you at month’s end due to Mars in Leo and the new moon of July 23 through August 21, also rules not only work but also health and fitness. (The first house of your horoscope rules your natural vitality and health, and the sixth house reflects the preventative measures you take to stay in top condition.) This means that if you have had any concerns with your physical health, you should consider addressing that concern at the end of July as your best moment. Also consider recommitting to fitness goals after the new moon appears, July 23, if you are in town, or if not, you will have a second chance next month to do so, after August 21. (Always act AFTER a new moon or solar eclipse appears, not before.)

Keep in mind that Mercury will go retrograde from August 12 to September 5, so I would rather you schedule surgery or important procedures at the start of the trend, in July, so that you can get ahead of Mercury retrograde starting August 12.

The same is true if you are about to take on a long-term job. Accept it, if possible, in July or in September. Mercury retrograde might give you the time to address a health concern or bring back a project you hoped to do, but had to put aside for lack for any other reason. The emphasis on your sixth house will help you become very organized, so if you need a new computer, tablet, or smart phone, or any other electronic device or appliance, purchase it in July. Do NOT buy your computer on July 17, when Mars and Uranus will be angry at one another.

On July 14, Mercury and Jupiter will be aligned, bringing all sorts of wonderful benefits from real estate and family. It would be an ideal day to move, sign a lease or close on a house, buy a piece of furniture or luxurious mattress, choose a new roommate, engage a decorator, choose colors of paint, or make other design choices. Mercury is the natural ruler of your fourth house of home, the reason I say this, and Jupiter is the giver of gifts and luck. Family support will be strong.

If you sign a lease or any document on July 19, Mercury and Saturn will be in cooperation – you are likely to have a very long association, with great stability. If you close on a house or sign a lease, chances are, you will remain in that space a long time and be happy there. Again, your family seems to be behind you one-hundred-percent.

The weekend of July 29-30 brings all kinds of surprises, for Venus and unpredictable Uranus will be in joyous conversation, and you will find perfect furniture or accessories, possibly at bargain prices, for your home. This also would be a fun weekend to give a party or barbeque.

The month ends on July 31 with Venus moving into the finest place for you – Cancer – extending the romantic melody that begins in July. Venus will remain in the divine-for-Pisces sign of Cancer until August 25.

On a completely different note, I want to leave you with one thought: in the coming months, foreign people and international relationships will be golden for you. Keep that thought in your pocket – you will hear me speak more about this once you get to October.

You will enter July ready for love, dear Pisces. The new moon of late June put you in the perfect frame of mind for love, and this feeling will only grow stronger as you start July. Mars is now touring your fifth house of true love, an ideal place for Mars to be to help you meet your one true love. The Sun will be in your solar fifth house too, indicating you will shine at parties, meeting and greeting others, and generally showing your face to the world. If single, be open to new people, and generously give a relationship time to blossom on its own before making a judgement. By that I mean, when meeting new romantic interests, do not have too many qualifiers in mind for that person to be a yes or a no on your list. You may think you know your type, but be open to surprise.

You seem to have an important social date on your agenda for Saturday, July 8 or 9, when the full moon will place you among a large number of warm and friendly people in a lovely social event. You may be attending a wedding, a charity event, a birthday party, a sporting event, or you may find yourself in a country club or a lodge, trade show, or other activity that will draw many people together who have common interests. If you were thinking of joining a club, whether professional, social, or fitness in nature, do so within four days of July 8.

The charming aura of romance will be strong for three weeks, a perfect time for taking a vacation during part of that time. If you hope to meet someone new, you might want to schedule a weekend at a resort that is known to draw substantial single people. Nothing will happen if you stay home, so venture out to see what surprises life might hold for you.

Financial news that reaches you on July 14 should be excellent, thanks to interplay between Mercury and Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, now in your house of commissions, royalties, bonuses, bank loans, mortgage, and property sales and bids, as well as in the realm of venture capital or sponsorship. If you are eager to sell a property or bid on a house or condo, this would be the best day to act on that dream, or to finalize your deal. Family support will be strong for you on this day too.

Stay away from financial deals on July 17, when Mars, the ruler of your solar sector of income, will receive angry vibes from Uranus, planet of unpredictable developments. This is not the time to enter into any speculative deals or to sign any important papers.

Mars will depart from your romantic sector on July 20, and from that time on, your focus will shift back to work. It looks like a wonderful assignment will arrive, one that might involve you in the arts or entertainment, as your solar sixth house of work projects will brim with a number of heavenly bodies: Mercury (news), Mars (action), the Sun (authority), and the July 23 new moon (opportunity), and together, all will light up this area of your chart. You will begin to be very busy, so you will need to be organized. A lot will be expected of you, but you are up to the task.

The interesting part about this month’s new moon, July 23, is that it will be the first of two new moons that will arrive in the same part of your chart, in Leo, which is highly unusual. This means that that the projects that come in will be important to your career progress, and that you will need to take those assignments seriously, for chances are, they will have a strong influence on your future career status. The second new moon will arrive as a massively important solar eclipse next month, August 21. Watch for the news and opportunities that will arise on these two new moons, for they will likely point you in a new and very exciting career direction.
