Leo, this may prove to be one of the most romantic moments of 2018 for you, especially if you are attached or dating seriously. Everything in your chart is pointing to growth in relationships, and also progress and enlightenment in how you view your own potential to tackle bigger goals, and to scale greater heights in just about any area of life that is important to you. Central to all your thinking will be to improve your emotional life and to build security. Your love life, your most important relationship, and all that you’ve dreamed you’d have for your life as you grew up is now on your mind.

As you enter February, you have just experienced last month’s full moon lunar eclipse on January 31 that appeared in your sign, Leo, 12 degrees. This guaranteed that changes are afoot, but the ones you see happening will all be very necessary, upbeat, and welcome. When we have a full moon eclipse as you will, something will end and something else begin. You will see a culmination to something dearly important to you, and that will happen in February or in early March.

As you begin the month, you will be thinking in terms of “me,” for the lunar eclipse in Leo will make it so. Later, as you will see, at the February 15 eclipse in Aquarius, a sign six months away from yours, you will be thinking in terms of “we.” When we see Leo and Aquarius emphasized, there is always the meditation about how much of me will I have to give up to have the privilege and bond of we. You have nothing to be concerned about – you’ve thought about this before, and the fact is, you can have both in the right, loving proportions. When there is care for the partner on both sides, both individuals flourish.

I like the January 31 eclipse for you because Mars was so well positioned, indicating that your actions will have power and purpose – and you can benefit in the months and years to come from the decisions you make and actions you take this month.

A large portion of eclipses – perhaps 75 percent – delivers their news at the time of the eclipse. Very few, only about 5 percent, deliver their news one month to the day before the eclipse occurs, plus or minus five days, bringing you back to events that occurred at the end of December / early January. Think about then – did anything big happen at that time? A greater number, 20 percent, will deliver news one month to the day later, bringing you to February 28 through March 3 to see the major news of the January 31 eclipse.

This is catch-up time for you, and by that I mean that we all continue to mature all the time, but because we are so busy working and concentrating on a wide variety of topics and relationships each day, we often don’t notice that we are growing and evolving, fulfilling the promise that our parents, teachers, and others had in us.

With maturity, you are able to take on more responsibility and to love more deeply and ardently than ever before, but you might not readily see the changes within you – until an eclipse comes by. Now you will sense the passage of time, and you should congratulate yourself on how far you have come and all that you’ve accomplished. Eclipses bring events that allow us to catch up to our evolving maturity and to see ourselves in a new true light of daylight – and that is you, now.

Eclipses in your own sign and opposite sign (in this case Aquarius) only happen every nine years or so. When a new series of eclipses start up, such as this one, in Leo and Aquarius, they remain in the same signs for two years, coming by every five-and-a-half months as a pair, two weeks apart. The ones after these this month will come July 27 and August 11.

Think back to the eclipses that occurred in 2017 on February 10 (highlighting Leos born on August 14, plus or minus four days), and the next two that arrived August 7 and 21, ones that may have highlighted your birthday, plus or minus four days. Do you recall anything important happening on any one of those three dates? Of course, if August 7 or August 21 is close to your birthday, you were sure to see many changes in your life start to happen almost immediately. An eclipse opposite your Sun, in Aquarius, such as the one you will have February 15, if it touches a degree in your chart, would have just as powerful an effect too.

To get an idea of what might come up, think back to the eclipses of 1999 that also fell in Leo on January 31 and in Aquarius February 15. This month’s eclipses have identical signs and degrees, so while the other planets have moved to new signs and positions, the eclipses will fall in the same part of your chart now, as they did in 1999. If you can think of a theme that emerged, you will get a clue of what might be coming up.

Lucky you, this month, Mars, the action planet, will be touring your fifth house of true love, until next month, on March 17, when Mars will leave Sagittarius. This ensures February to be a magical time for love and fun, no matter what your marital status.

This month, the Leos who would see the biggest changes would be those born within five days of August 4 and August 19. Most people do not strongly feel them. The mathematics of that eclipse has to touch the degrees of your Sun, natal moon, or other planet in your chart.

As said (always bearing repeating) the lunar eclipse fell in Leo – it just did – on January 31, and the next one, a solar eclipse, will happen this month on February 15 in Aquarius, ruling your closest romantic relationship. Eclipses move up our timetables, so actions you planned to take months or years from now suddenly change when the eclipses trigger reasons to radically move up your planned date so that things can happen NOW. The universe is in a hurry to see progress and if things have languished, you will feel the sudden blast of energy surrounding the eclipses to get you moving forward.

At the February 15 solar eclipse in Aquarius 27 degrees, the accent will be on your one and only in the romantic sense. You may promise exclusivity, or be joyfully engaged or married very soon. The seventh house is essentially a contractual house, where you make a binding promise. (The house of love is the fifth house, and I will get to that in a minute, where Mars is found right now.)

The fact that the eclipse falls one day after February 14 seems significant here – you very well may be getting married soon! How exciting! Also this is a solar eclipse involving the Sun, and all solar eclipses affect you more than lunar eclipses. You seem to be on the verge of big changes, dear Leo.

If you are not getting married or making plans with your present spouse, you may be teaming up with a business partner, expert, collaborator, agent, or other person who will work on a one-on-one basis with you. If you have your own business, you may be forming a joint venture with another company for a joint goal.

When you have an eclipse in Aquarius, Uranus takes the lead because Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, and happily, Uranus is in superb shape. At the time of the eclipse, Uranus will be sending shimmering beams to the Sun, new moon, and Mercury. Focusing on the romantic side of this aspect, this is extraordinary, hinting that Valentine’s Day may be filled with happiness and all the right surprises. Uranus is in your house of long-distance travel, so you and your one-and-only may, like the Owl and the Pussycat, “sail away in a pea-green boat” and dance by the light of the moon. If you are already married or in an established relationship, you and your alter-ego may plan a wonderful trip that you will take soon, or draw up other big plans. This will be a wildly happy, sexy month that will center you on your relationship. While other concerns may filter to you now and then, you seem mainly concentrating on your partner and your feelings for him or her.

If you are instead forming a business relationship, foreign people or places, or universities, publishers, broadcasters, or legal matters seem to be intertwined with what you are crafting.

All month, Mars, the action planet, will be touring your fifth house of true love, until next month, on March 17, when Mars leaves Sagittarius. Having Mars light your house of true love and matters related to children is a big plus. Sagittarius is a fire sign like yours and will make a decisive aspect to your Sun. As you get closer to the end of February, Mars will be getting within earshot of making a perfect trine (denoting great harmony) to Uranus. These two planets, Mars and Uranus, will make that happy spontaneous aspect March 11, but by late February and early March they will be close enough to shower you with radiant vibrations.

This same fifth house, ruling new love, pregnancy, and care for children, also rules your creative and artistic expressions, and that part of you will be very strong this month and most of next. This is good news for you – most Leos work in creative fields.

This month has so many positive events it’s remarkable. By month’s end, you will begin to feel the growing full moon (not an eclipse), March 1 in Virgo, 11 degrees. This full moon will have a double effect on you. First, it will center you on finances, so you will be paying bills but also possibly receiving a generous amount of money, or news of a raise, too. Saturn will be outstandingly supportive to the full moon, increasing your sense of security, and all that you do at this time will grow and stand the test of time.

Also at this full moon, March 1, Jupiter will be beautifully oriented to Venus, not only adding to a feeling of love and happiness to the experience you have on March 1, but also over the weekend of March 3-4, as all full moons are influential for four days. With Saturn so strong, it suggests that whatever you do now will likely have a patina of luxury and beauty. You may buy something expensive, or you may be given an expensive gift, too.

The month will end with energy building toward the March 1 full moon. This full moon will bring your attention to your closest relationship and to the financial plans you will be making in the year ahead. You may be purchasing something expensive, or be receiving money or expensive gift.

You will be paying bills now, but all this emphasis on materialism seems not to be taking the center stage. Neptune will be conjunct the Sun, your ruler, so it’s apparent that your partner will inspire you deeply, either in terms of your feelings of love, or in terms of a creative project you may be doing together. Venus and your ruling planet, the Sun, along with Mercury, will also be in your committed relationship house at the time, putting greater focus on this one person who appears to be so important to you. All along, Mars will spend time in your house of home and family, also putting emphasis there.

In earlier years, you may have felt burdened by your home or family life during the period that spanned over two years from October 5, 2012 to December 23, 2014. You may have struggled to pay for your rent or mortgage, a temporary situation that went on for too long, or you may have been charged with the care of an elderly relative as two of many possible examples.
