#讀嘛讀嘛 終於收到這本《溫莎日記》！(woot) 是一個英國貴族少女二次大戰時被送去溫莎避難，結果跟還是小孩的伊莉莎白女王與瑪格利特玩在一起的五年的日記。

話說我外婆也是經歷過戰時的人，外婆跟阿信跟女王是同一世代的人（無誤）都有堅忍不拔的精神。讀了這日記我終於知道為什麼了：(woot)

「六月十七日星期一

聽說法國也放棄了，現在我們是唯一在對抗德國的。天啊未來會怎麼樣？如果我們打敗，只有死路一條。但是慈悲的老天會給我們勝利的！上完課我哭了一下，但是控制下來到可以出門的地步。英國的厄運今天以一百萬個微小的方式反映在一百萬顆心上。」

經過這種大風大浪而存活下來的人，怎麼可能不堅忍不拔呢？跟戰爭比，平常再大的事也是不足為道的小事啊。

尤其「上完課我哭了一下，但是控制下來」

這種事都能控制住，日常小事當然是堅忍不拔的 (worship)

所以電視劇《The Crown》說女王在艾伯凡礦災沒有哭。女王那一世代是從小每天躲空襲、聽到德軍轟炸殺死多少人都得忍著不能哭的，眼淚又不是自來水隨時開關可以應觀眾要求隨哭隨不哭，這編劇去說女王在礦災沒哭，未免太強人所難。

This is a coordinated attack and an ongoing distraction tactic, when what should be the focus are the very serious allegations of child trafficking and rape by a senior royal who was close friends with a convicted paedophile and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is due to stand trial for her part in recruiting and trafficking teenage girls - One of those girls has accused Prince Andrew of rape.

The focus should not be on a new Mum and Dad deciding to leave the country to protect their child and mental health. This is targeted harassment of a woman who is pregnant with her second child and a man who lost his mother in his childhood because of similar incessant media harrassment.

2022年才展開，備受各方關注的英國皇室又充滿暗潮洶湧的氣氛，除了已經在美國扎根又不時隔海放砲的哈利王子與妻子梅根，持續是皇室人員頭痛根源外，伊莉莎白二世女王頒發嘉德勳章給媳婦卡蜜拉，更是外界議論紛紛的舉動，因為這就讓她成了極為尊貴的騎士團皇室成員之一，除女王和其子女外，只有卡蜜拉另一半查爾斯的長子威廉取得這身分，威廉之妻凱特都沒有，令人高度懷疑這是為日後查爾斯登基繼位、卡蜜拉順理成章成為英國王后在預先鋪路，讓凱特的粉絲直呼不可。

卡蜜拉與凱特這對婆媳，給英國民眾截然不同的觀感，凱特向來被視為「皇室好媳婦」、「英倫玫瑰」，而卡蜜拉則是「破壞黛安娜王妃婚姻的狐狸精」 ，由於有太多人不樂意見到她有美滿的結果，她在嫁給查爾斯時還被要求接受日後查爾斯成為國王，她只能被稱為「伴妃」，永遠不能當王后，許多民眾心目中英國王后本該是黛安娜，絕對不該由讓黛安娜婚變的罪魁禍首卡蜜拉搶走這個榮銜，甚至因為討厭卡蜜拉的人太多，一度出現「威廉取代父親登基」的呼聲。

向來最愛煽風點火的八卦刊物，可逮到良機，之前他們就在猛炒卡蜜拉與凱特婆媳為搶先登上后座、私下明爭暗鬥，或是說卡蜜拉就像當年鬥走黛安娜一樣，把目標對準凱特，有如肥皂劇裡的心機惡婆婆，儘管查爾斯被她弄得服服貼貼、一定會為她設法掃除一切封后的障礙，要是威廉半路殺出，就得看著后冠落入凱特手中。固然根據英國律法，威廉不能跳過查爾斯先登基，但外界言之鑿鑿，難免彼此心中都留下芥蒂，凱特想與卡蜜拉相安無事，可得運用更多智慧。

相較之下，卡蜜拉可能要慶幸留在英國的未來王后是凱特而不是之前才被稱是「皇室最聰明成員」的梅根，梅根勇於爭取自己要的，又有在好萊塢打滾過的謀略，絕對比凱特更難對付。但梅根與哈利落腳美國已久，王位之爭他們早就沒有參戰的資格，最多只能公開批評皇室運作的不合理消氣，造成不了真正的影響，而查爾斯也在2021年生活回顧短片中，完全將哈利、梅根撇除，看來彼此的冷淡關係，一點也沒好轉。

Inquiry into foundation linked to Prince of Wales launched

Charity Commission investigating claims donations intended for Prince’s Foundation went instead to Mahfouz Foundation

The Charity Commission has launched a statutory inquiry into allegations that donations intended for the Prince of Wales’ Prince’s Foundation went instead to the Mahfouz Foundation.

The investigation – which the watchdog revealed was formally begun at the beginning of November, will examine dealings at the Mahfouz Foundation – which was founded by the Saudi billionaire Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz.

Michael Fawcett, one of Charles’s closest confidantes, resigned as chief executive of the Prince’s Foundation last week after claims he allegedly promised to help secure a knighthood and British citizenship for Dr Bin Mahfouz, a donor to the prince’s charity.

The commission said of the Mahfouz Foundation: “The commission has been engaging with its trustees since September after media reports alleged that donations, intended for the Prince’s Foundation, went instead to the Mahfouz Foundation. Some of these funds were then subsequently transferred elsewhere.”

The Prince’s Foundation, which is registered as a charity in Scotland, is under investigation by the Scottish Charity regulator after allegations made in the Sunday Times in September. The Scottish watchdog said the investigation was to “better understand” the Prince’s Foundation’s use of funds.

The Mahfouz Foundation appears to have been set up in 2012, to “promote and advance the education of the public in the UK in the history, literature, language, institutions and culture of the Middle East”. There is little information on the foundation website which shows only shows simply a photo of Mahfouz.

Mahfouz, a 51-year-old businessman and philanthropist, is the son of one of Saudi Arabia’s richest men, Dr Mahfouz Marei Mubarak bin Mahfouz. He has donated generously to Oxbridge colleges, as well as royal mansions and was given an honorary CBE by Prince Charles in a private ceremony in 2016.

According to the Sunday Times, the businessman’s aides began contacting the Prince of Wales in 2011 regarding a potential honour. Mahfouz had been advised that securing honorary roles and awards would aid his attempt to secure British citizenship or residency.

Leaked correspondence suggested that Fawcett had told Mahfouz that royal charities would be “happy and willing” to support his application for citizenship and help further upgrade the CBE to a knighthood.

A statutory inquiry is the most serious form of investigation undertaken by the charities watchdog. While opening such an inquiry is not an indication of wrongdoing, the commission emphasises they are not undertaken lightly, and normally follow extensive initial investigations.

It will look specifically at whether certain donations received by the Mahfouz Foundation were intended for the charity, and have been used in accordance with the donors’ intentions. It will assess whether the donations should be returned to the donor, or to another charity.

The Mahfouz Foundation’s Charity Commission filings show its annual income over the last five years has been just £10,000, meaning it is not subject to legal requirements to publish audited annual accounts.

The regulator has also identified concerns around the trustees’ governance and financial control of the charity. The Charity Commission lists just two individuals as trustees of the Foundation: Buseif-Hassan Lamlum and Craig Terence Nimmo.

In the event that wrongdoing is found, the Charity Commission has the power to ban trustees from charity boards, appoint the commission’s own trustees, or close the charity down. Inquiries can take months or even years.

The Mahfouz Foundation was approached for a response.

英國女王伊莉莎白二世於9月8日逝世，讓許多人感到相當不捨。近日她生前親筆寫給威廉王子的短箋在社群媒體上曝光，部分網友直呼「女王真的超溫暖」，大批王室迷也感嘆「想念妳了，女王」。

《每日郵報》報導，英國王室粉絲帳號「Real Royal Mail」，近日在推特分享女王生前寫給年幼威廉王子的短箋。信上寫著「威廉，我希望你能享受每天打開它」，並屬名「奶奶（Granny）」。雖然內容簡短，字裡行間都透露出女王對威廉的寵愛。

報導指出，這是女王於1990年代，送威廉一個倒數日曆（用來倒數聖誕節來臨的日曆。通常從12月1日開始倒數，月曆上有24個小格子，對應倒數的24天，每天可取出1個藏在格子裡的禮物）時，附上的短箋。

報導指出，黛安娜王妃的前員工將這張短箋出售後，總部設在波士頓的RR拍賣公司將它於2016年12月公開拍賣，預計價格將達到1400英鎊（約5.2萬元新台幣）。當時， RR拍賣公司的執行副總裁利文斯頓（Robert Livingston）指出，這是英國皇室相當罕見的書信。

威廉與已故女王的關係非常緊密。他在女王逝世不久後，發表聲明指出，他過去持續因女王的智慧與安慰而獲益良多。不管是在他人生中幸福或悲傷的時刻，女王都陪在他的身邊。

這張短箋曝光後，許多王室迷也紛紛表示「好想念女王」、「她真的好溫暖」，表達出這位已故君主的想念。也有部分網友不滿地認為，這張短箋屬於威廉王子，應該要返還給他才對。

不過，梅根強調他們在乎的並不是頭銜，而是關於安全，因為小孩如果沒有「HRH殿下」頭銜的話就不會配維安。（謎之音：所以就是在乎嘛…）

「頭銜所帶來的所有榮華富貴都是身外之物，我當過女服務生、女演員、王妃、公爵夫人，我很知道我自己是誰是無關於頭銜的，我最重要的頭銜只有一個，就是『母親』。」（講得越長，怎麼感覺越…而且參照其他報導，覺得有操作種族歧視的嫌疑）

編按：有報導說，「按照英國王室法律，唯有君主的子女、君主兒子的子女、威爾斯親王長子的子女才能夠自動被冊封為「王子與公主殿下」（His/Her Royal Highness, HRH）。

因為威廉王子是威爾斯親王長子，所以凱特生的都自動有HRH銜稱。但由於亞契是威爾斯親王次子的兒子，因此不會自動被授予頭銜，目前通常被稱為亞契少爺（Master Archie），但有權繼承父親的附屬頭銜「敦巴頓伯爵」（The Earl of Dumbarton）。」

梅根認為她跟凱特似乎總被特意塑造成英雄跟反派，但事實上凱特也是個好人，沒必要喜歡凱特的人就必須討厭自己，反之亦然。

英國王室捲入種族歧視風暴，英國女王發表聲明表示，對哈利王子和梅根過去幾年的經歷感到難過，將處理在歐普拉專訪中，提到的種族問題。

綜合外媒報導，哈利王子回憶錄書名《Spare》有備胎、備用之意，西班牙文版本更加尖銳，副標題為「En La Sombra」（在陰影中）。哈利被解讀在暗示自己與哥哥威廉王子（Prince William）身份與處境，一個是王位繼承者，一個是備胎，兩者形成強烈的對比。

英國哈利王子（Prince Harry）和妻子梅根（Meghan Markle）的紀錄片《哈利王子與梅根》（Harry & Meghan）下半部後3集昨（15日）於Netflix上線，哈利王子火力全開，指控哥哥威廉王子（Prince William）墮落，跟著王室玩「骯髒遊戲」毀滅梅根。透露當年與女王、父親查爾斯和威廉談論離開王室的條件時，威廉在會議中向他咆哮，並利用媒體霸淩他，讓他心寒選擇完全退出王室，並講述英國媒體害梅根流產的內幕。

哈利在紀錄片中闡述30多年來他在幕後觀察到的，王室對於八卦媒體的傳聞，向來抱持「不抱怨、不解釋」態度，然而王室經常會向媒體傳遞假訊息，目的是為掩蓋其他家庭成員更不光彩的醜聞。於是梅根被「抓交替」成為代罪羔羊，八卦小報開始將梅根塑造成大反派。哈利很痛心，因為他和威廉承諾過，兄弟倆不會玩這種「骯髒遊戲」，沒想到威廉選擇攪和在其中，跟媒體做交易，放出負面消息詆毀梅根。

英國《每日郵報》非法公開梅根寫給父親湯馬士的家書，也成為他們與王室決裂的關鍵，梅根要向《每日郵報》提告，王室非但不贊同，還繼續與媒體聯手抹黑攻擊，為了保護妻兒，哈利萌生離開英國的念頭。他和父親查爾斯提出離英想法，想搬到加拿大，追求經濟獨立，並繼續履行王室義務，認為有必要時，他願意放棄「薩塞克斯公爵」頭銜。怎料查爾斯簽了文件後5天，新聞就從小報刊出，是誰放出的消息，不言而喻。

2020年1月13日，哈利王子與祖母女王、父親查爾斯、哥哥威廉在桑德令罕府召開會議，討論哈利與梅根淡出王室的決定，當時王室刻意不邀梅根參與。哈利回憶，當天在會議上的情景，「哥哥對我大吼大叫，我的父親說一些謊話，我的祖母，只是默默坐在那裡，承受這一切，那真的太可怕了！」哈利解釋，眾所皆知，女王畢生捍衛王室形象，對於哈利與梅根的處境，她愛莫能助。

更惡劣的還在後頭，4個小時的會議結束後，王室未經哈利同意，便擅自冒名發出他與威廉的聯合聲明，反駁一篇媒體的不實報導，該報導指出哈利和梅根脫離王室是因為遭受威廉霸凌。哈利說：「我難以置信，沒人徵求我的同意，就這樣亂用我的名字發出聲明…他們（王室）為了保護我的哥哥而撒謊，卻從來不願保護我們而說出真相。」雖然迂迴，但哈利的說法明顯指控威廉霸凌了他和梅根。

閉門會議加上被王室冒名發聲後，哈利徹底心碎，決定正式退出王室。他強調，退出王室是他的決定，梅根從來沒有提過這想法，否認媒體稱「梅根控制哈利」的傳聞。

哈利一家人從英國般至加拿大溫格華島，無奈這片的淨土已被狗仔包圍，加上保鑣被撤，兩人在COVID-19疫情爆發前「逃離」加拿大，到美國洛杉磯，獲得美國男演員泰勒派瑞（Tyler Perry）援助，在派瑞家住了6週，過著安寧的日子，無奈後來又被被狗仔抓到，一家人最後落腳目前的聖巴巴拉豪宅。

哈利與梅根住在聖巴巴拉豪宅，梅根再度懷孕，然而與《每日郵報》的訴訟仍在持續，梅根徹夜寫信與律師討論法律攻防，有天梅根昏倒在家裡，不幸流產。哈利將梅根流產的悲劇歸咎在嗜血的英國媒體，他說：「我相信我妻子是因為郵報的所作所為流產，我親眼目睹了整個過程。」梅根壓力大、睡眠不足，導致失去了一個小生命。事後梅根將流產的經歷寫下來，登在《紐約時報》，鼓勵同病相憐的女性勇敢面對。

有關梅根與《每日郵報》的訴訟，最後法院判定梅根勝訴，《每日郵報》公開在頭版道歉。

繼稍早轟動一時的爆料回憶錄，英國時間八日晚間播出的國王查爾斯三世次子哈利王子的電視專訪，恐將再爆更多王室內幕，進一步重創哈利與查爾斯的父子情，以及他與王儲威廉王子的兄弟情。「週日泰晤士報」引述王室消息人士報導，查爾斯已完全將哈利排除在訂於五月六日舉行的加冕典禮規劃之外，即使哈利選擇出席，也只能以觀眾身分觀禮。

由他人代筆的哈利回憶錄《備胎》（Spare，暫譯）稍早因烏龍提早開賣以致內容外洩，書中描述大量哈利個人隱私，並披露王室秘辛，包括哈利曾為妻子梅根與胞兄威廉吵架，被威廉打倒在地等。英國獨立電視台（ITV）預定八日晚間九時（台灣時間九日清晨五時）首播的九十五分鐘哈利專訪，也有類似內容。

預先曝光的專訪片段顯示，哈利聲稱威廉因梅根與他吵架並動手，「盛怒」的威廉要他還手，「但我選擇不要…我願意（與威廉）和解，但首先得要問責」。該專訪的錄製時間，早於哈利回憶錄內容提前曝光。

在被問到威廉對他的回憶錄會有何反應時，哈利說，威廉可能會有另一番完全不同的說詞。哈利表示，他仍深信君主制度，但不知道自己未來是否會在其中扮演任何角色。

英國王室並未公開回應哈利的回憶錄，首相蘇納克也不願評論，僅強調他「非常尊敬王室」。多家英國報紙八日引述消息人士的話說，哈利回憶錄對查爾斯與威廉傷害至深，但查爾斯仍想與次子重修舊好。「週日電訊報」說，查爾斯認為和解是唯一的解套之道；「週日泰晤士報」則引述威哈兄弟友人的話說，威廉對弟弟爆料感到「焦慮與傷心」。

就在肯辛頓宮透露凱特王妃於倫敦市中心一間私人醫院接受腹部手術後的2小時內，白金漢宮也發表了另一份聲明，聲稱國王下週需要對前列腺肥大進行「矯正手術」，據悉這種健康問題在老年男性中很常見，通常並不嚴重，而且也與癌症無關。

白金漢宮發言人週五指出，凱特接受治療後查爾斯國王就曾去探視過了，查爾斯國王當時也以凱特為榮，「為她如此公開發言的勇氣感到驕傲」，而過去幾週的時間查爾斯國王也不間斷的給予關心「與這位令人喜愛的媳婦保持密切聯繫」，並承諾會持續與王后卡蜜拉，在這段艱難的時刻繼續給予她們一家愛與支持。

事後，哈利王子與梅根也發布聲明，並且為生病的凱特加油打氣，也盼望外界能給予凱特好好休養的空間，「我們祝福凱特順利復原，家人平安健康，希望他們能在保有隱私和平靜的狀況下進行」。

據了解，凱特1月時在倫敦接受腹部大型手術，當時她的狀況被判定與癌症無關，這場手術很成功，但術後檢查結果卻顯示為癌症，於是她在醫療團隊的建議下接受療程。對此凱特也直言「這是巨大的震驚」，為了家庭，她和丈夫威廉一直努力私下處理這件事，並花了一些時間向3個孩子解釋，保證自己「會好起來的」。
