Your career began to be a major focus in August when Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, first entered your tenth house of career honors, awards, and achievement for the first time in a decade. Jupiter will remain in your professional house until September 9, 2016, eleven months from now. Having Jupiter in Virgo alone would be cause for celebration, but in order to unlock Jupiter's most generous gifts, you need other planets plus a new moon in your professional house. You had just that last month, and you will have more planetary help in October.

Indeed, your potential ratcheted up another notch last month when the outstandingly friendly solar (new moon) eclipse arrived on September 12. Think of a new moon eclipse as a door that opens for you to walk through to create lots of career opportunity and excitement. An eclipse does not affect you for just a day, but opens a portal that lasts for weeks or months.

There will be more eclipses in this series (Virgo-Pisces) to carry the torch forward for you. You have not seen eclipses in this, the professional part of your chart, since 2006 and 2007, with the last one appearing in early 2008. Eclipses are some of the most powerful tools the universe uses to force progress, so they are vital to watch - you will have another important eclipse due in your career house on September 1, 2016.

Also last month, Mars entered your same tenth house of fame and honors, to stay until November 12. That's a lot of planetary artillery to help you forge ahead, and you have one more planet to reside in your career area on the way - Venus will tour this same professional solar sector of your chart from October 8 to November 8 and boost your popularity with VIPs and the public at large. Venus will help you look good too, so you may want to buy new clothes to wear to work, so that you can look every inch the leader that you were born to be.

Dear Sagittarius, you have three fairy godmothers in terms of Venus, Mars, and Jupiter close together in the area of the chart that the ancient astrologers called the house of dignity. This is the part of your chart that reflects the potential for you to garner growing respect for your work from other professionals in your field, and beyond. With such important planets and eclipses arriving there, it is indicated you have an enormous opportunity to make a name for yourself. This is what is happening now for you - the door is opening, dear Sagittarius. You are on the cusp of an enormous breakthrough. If you have not seen evidence of this yet, you will. Be patient.

This month, I would like you to watch what happens on three fantastic days when career and money should bring outstanding news. The aspects I am about to tell you about are as rare as diamonds, so schedule an initiation on these date - these are dates that will give you an edge in talks.

The first day will arrive October 11, when Pluto will be in ideal angle to Jupiter, considered one of the most powerful of all aspects for career and money, and always a signature of success when found in a chart. Near this date your growing reputation will allow you to demand a very generous salary, and perhaps also a list of side benefits, like great health insurance, a bonus, royalty, or decent commission rate too. Watch to see the kind of offers and inquiries you get mid-month - among them, one offer should stand out. Jupiter and Pluto are outer planets that move very slowly, so these two planets will be within mathematical significance.

The second day to note will be October 17, when Mars will align with Jupiter in this same lofty professional area, your solar tenth house. This will be a Saturday, but you will feel it in the two days leading to this gorgeous aspect. Jupiter is your ruler, so this has your name written all over this across the sky, and Mars is the natural ruler of your house of creativity. It will be your ideas and concepts that bring you the fanfare. Be brave and confident about all you present and want do, and shout your accomplishments to the world. You are onto something big, dear Sagittarius, and it's just a matter of time until others know about your ideas too - this will happen within the coming eleven months.

The third day to watch for wonderful career news will be when Venus aligns with Jupiter on October 25, a Sunday, but you will feel energy building to a peak two days prior, on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24. Venus is the natural ruler of your sixth house of work assignments, so it will be a project you are working on that will bring you such good news and possible praise. The words the press will use to describe you and your current project will be delightful, for with Venus involved, the words can only be sweet! It must be that when it comes to career, your natural charm this month will rally everyone to your side.

Venus is also the natural ruler of your house of friendship, so a friend may give you an important tip or offer to make a powerful introduction to a high level executive who will help you get ahead. Indeed, a friend will be integral to your success on one of these days. If you are due to attend a seminar, trade show, or conference where a professional mixer will be part of the events, be sure to go to that party. The event will be quite lovely, and at the same time, will allow you to you make the acquaintance of one or more interesting individuals in your industry you can relate to very well, and with whom you will want to stay in touch.

Mercury has been retrograde since September 17 but will go direct October 9. The next retrograde will take place throughout January, so while you have an open road to be highly productive, take your chance! You may have been subject to delays and or setbacks, but you will soon be happy to see the pace of life pick up. You won't have the frustrating delays you have experienced. If you are planning to buy a car, appliance, or an important electronic item, do so a few days after Mercury goes direct. If you have to make a major launch in your business and the outcome has a lot hinged on it, wait until month's end, near the full moon October 27. By then Mercury will be back to his former strength.

Now we need to talk about your social life - you need to brace for some turbulence. I am sorry to have to report this to you, as you are such a cheerful soul and you don't need this happening in your life, acting like background music. It will be tension producing.

It starts with the new moon October12 falling in Libra at 19 degrees. This new moon will continue a discussion or meditation about a romantic or platonic relationship you started last week. Uranus will challenge this new moon in a tough 180-degree opposition, so news you receive will come suddenly and be shocking in some way. You may feel broadsided by events and will likely involve a friend or a lover. With people unstable and fragile, be careful not to make controversial comments to friends or your sweetheart, for you could trigger a major melt down. (Attached couples in established relationships will not feel this energy - if that is you, watch for a friend to become your focus.)

Pluto won't cooperate with the new moon either, indicating you may have to write a check for quite a bit of money. There is another way Pluto may work out. With Pluto in this position in your chart, it may be that your friend owes you money, or that you may owe your friend money. This will be time to discuss the terms of the payback, but it won't be an easy talk.

Alternatively, if your friend should now ask you for money at the new moon near October 12, realize that if you do hand over the check, you would be making an outright gift to your friend. Decide if that is what you'd like to do, as it will be unlikely you will ever see that money repaid, no matter what your friend promises you. Friends and money won't mix well for you this month, but especially not in the days following this new moon.

One of the reasons I am concerned about the new moon in Libra on October 12 is that this one will, like all new moons, set up a trend that lasts six months or more. Generally the matter will be put to rest when a full moon appears in the same sign as the new moon - in this case, Libra - nearly six months later. In this case, that will likely happen March 23, 2016, a full moon that will fall in Libra, and that is also an eclipse. You may have a tense discussion with a friend now, or one of the managers of a group you belong may be demanding or hard to deal with at this time. (The group may be a professional club, charity, social club, and so forth). I feel that your relationship with this friend, group, or sweetheart may be as tangled as spaghetti, and sorting it out may take time.

The big plus side to this situation is for you is that Libra, the place of this troublesome new moon, is an air sign that blends well with Sagittarius' fire-sign element. In fact, if your birthday falls on December 11, plus or minus four days, you will actually find a way to benefit from the news that you receive, as remarkable as that may sound. Sometimes when a difficult situation comes up, it breaks the old pattern. You are no longer stuck in a situation, allowing for an opportunity to arise. You may now find new ideas to this ongoing difficulty too.

An assignment will finish in the last week of October too, one that you were able to put a strong creative stamp on. This will happen thanks to the full moon in Taurus, 4 degrees, October 27 (plus or minus four days). Neptune, the planet of imagination, will be taking such a strong and prominent stance at this lovely full moon. It will light your sixth house of workaday matters, the reason your imagination will be working at a high level, and ideas will rain down on you.

This same full moon of October 27 may bring a health matter to fullness and perhaps end. For example, your package of physical therapy sessions may end, or if you've had a rash or a cold, full moons usually end a physical problem, especially a full moon in your sixth house (which also governs health along with your daily work experience). The full moon's positive link to Neptune indicates that may help you when your doctor suggests a new drug, just approved by the government, that might be helpful to your condition. Or, your doctor may prescribe a drug that is not new to the world, but new to you, that (ruled by Neptune).

A fantastic day to do a presentation, negotiate a money deal, or to hear about more money coming to you will be October 15, for Mars, in your fame and achievement house, will be receiving powerful vibrations from Pluto in your salary and personal financial resources sector. One way or another, I feel you will come away with a great deal that will make you very happy, and you may possibly see more money in your bank account instantly or get news that it is coming soon.

I had mentioned that your career is on fire, and you will get proof of this October 16 and October 17. Mars, the action planet that often acts like a booster rocket, takes your dreams and sends them into the stratosphere. On these days, Mars will receive golden beams from Jupiter, the great good fortune planet, also known to expand all it touches. In this case, you are due for lots of positive publicity for your recent work. You may have a story written about you, or you may be asked as an expert to judge a contest, speak on a panel, or give a lecture. You may appear on TV, or if you are an actor, land a big role in an important movie. You get the idea - October 16-17 is seriously joyful for your career, so use this day for drawing attention to your good work, and more praise will be heaped on you. If you have a publicist, have her get busy early in the month so that you will see a culmination to your campaign by mid-month.

You seem to have been given all the sparkling career aspects in the sky this month (other signs will be envious!) because you will still have another set of days that will be spectacular for advancing your reputation.

On October 25, Venus will align exactly with Jupiter, and both are in your tenth house of honor, awards, and achievement. Venus in this house would be an indication of overall popularity, so your "stock" in the marketplace is zooming skyward this month, and you are setting off all kinds of bells, all ringing for you.

Now let's turn to the full moon in Taurus, 4 degrees on October 27, a very happy moment for you this month. It appears you will be wrapping up a project and getting ready to ship it. Neptune will be the glamorous, prominent planet aspecting this full moon, so you will have plenty of room to show off your talents and creativity.

Neptune will also be in prime angle to the Sun on October 30, indicating that this year, on Halloween, October 31, costumes will be so creative as to be out of this world. Neptune is based in your home sector, so this year, consider giving a Halloween costume party at your house. It would be a party that friends will talk about for a long time - the gold standard from which other parties your friends give will be measured! Not able to give a party? Welcome children in the neighborhood to your home and have special treats (pre-wrapped by the manufacturer) ready. This year the children will look ridiculously cute.

You may be just coming off a situation that you had to fix involving a love relationship, or one involving a child or pregnancy that may have concerned you. Alternatively, it may have been a creative project that needed your attention and was reaching a finish and that was happening just after September 27, a full moon lunar eclipse. If your birthday falls in November, that eclipse was speaking directly to you. Take note of what happens, for when you get to March 23, 2016, you will see that situation reach another stage of development. Still, while you may be taken aback by events, active Mars is currently orbiting close to good fortune Jupiter, so you will be able to solve things more easily than you may assume.

Sometimes friends can make you feel as warm and wonderful as a crackling fire in an old fashioned fireplace on a freezing day, and other times, a friend can act out of character and cause your blood to run icy cold. It's not clear if a friend will upset you after this month's new moon arrives on October 12, or if you will hear that your friend is facing a crisis, with difficult circumstances that are clearly overwhelming him or her. In the latter case, you will be called into action to lend a hand. Be aware, however, that if you do offer help, it won't be for a short period, so be prepared to go the distance. If it's the former case, where you may feel betrayed, then talk things out, assuming the relationship is important to you. If not, just walk away. Also included in a friendship sectors are clubs, communities, charities, and all kinds of professional organizations. You may encounter difficulty with a leader of one of the groups to which you belong.

No matter how the news plays out, you will be rocked by news, and you'll need a few days to settle down. During the reflection period, make sure you have accurate information. With Venus, the subject of the new moon, October 12, in close alignment with her lover Mars, you can turn things around to create a warm outcome even if you initially doubt this would be possible.

In terms of your career, events are turning life into a dream. You have already seen clues of just how high you could fly in August and September, and October will continue and enlarge this trend. Mars is now touring your tenth house of fame and honors, along with Venus and Jupiter, three do-good planets that will staunchly protect your professional interests. A friend seems to have a hand in getting you the pat on the back that you so richly deserve.

You can offer a risky idea to a VIP, present it in a persuasive way, and be thrilled to see your idea gets approved, even if you assumed getting approval would be against all odds. Jupiter will remain in your tenth house of prestigious professional progress for a year from now, and Venus and Mars, important components of your success now, will stay there (in the same house) until mid-November.

The full moon of October 27 will bring a project to fruition, and you may be working up against the clock to ready the project for shipment. This assignment will allow for lots of your creative input, the reason working on the one you do this week will be so satisfying. Finances will improve too, so it may be that it's a side project that will get you a tidy sum. With each project that you complete, the universe will put another twinkling star in the sky for you - straight into your reputation sector. By this time next year, you may rule the world. Your health should improve too, so all around, this full moon will bring lots of welcome news.
