Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

This will be an exciting month, when lots of change will take place. We are back in eclipse season, which only typically happens twice a year, with eclipses coming in pairs, two weeks apart, coinciding with a new and full moon. The last time we had eclipses, it was March 8 and March 23. Think back to the solar eclipse in Pisces on March 8, because that eclipse was in the Virgo-Pisces family of signs, and this month two more eclipses in that family are on the way. Eclipses in a series focus on the same subject but with each new eclipse, advance the conversation to a new level. After this month, there will be only one more eclipse in this family of signs on February 26, 2017, with a solar eclipse in Pisces. After that, you will be finished with your focus on finances.

The September 1 new moon solar eclipse will appear in your eighth house of other people’s money. It will bring to mind matters of student loans or bank loans, mortgage or refinancing of property, inheritance, taxes, child support, funds divided at the end of a business or a marriage, in divorce. This house differs from the second house of your chat, in that the eighth house does not include salary – it’s money you share with another person or company, even if the so-called sharing is between you and a credit card company, as odd as that might sound. This eclipse will bring your attention squarely to one of these types of matters.

I should mention that if the September 1 eclipse does not accent money in your life, the other possibility is that you will be contemplating a surgery, whether large or small – even dental work comes under this category. Eclipses make us move forward and shake us out of complacency and force us to make decisions – they are on our side, for they don’t allow things to linger. If you have done your homework, received references from friends, gone for a variety of opinions, and trust your surgeon, move forward. I love September 26 for surgery – Jupiter is involved with the Sun, and that promotes healing.

I feel the final outcome of this eclipse will be extraordinarily positive because the new moon will arrive arm-in-arm with the Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter. Mercury and Jupiter will be in perfect conjunction, which is significant, because this eclipse is in Virgo, and Virgo’s ruler is Mercury. To have Mercury align with the great good fortune planet Jupiter is rare, and points to a happy resolve.

You will have to get over a few obstacles. First, Saturn, your ancient ruler (before Uranus was discovered) and Mars will be in hard angle to the eclipse. The fact that Saturn is one of your rulers gives it more weight in this equation. Mars is also at odds with the eclipse because they are orbiting side by side. Mars and Saturn are based in your social eleventh house, also called the house of hopes and wishes, so you might have to delay a purchase or an event temporarily while you handle a financial matter. Or, it may be that to participate in the event, or to buy the item you want, is beyond your ability to pay right now. The words “not now” do not mean never, dear Aquarius

More concerning to me will be the opposition of foggy Neptune to the Sun and new moon eclipse and also the hard angle Neptune makes to Saturn and Mars. Neptune can inspire creativity, but when Neptune gets his sticky fingers involved with facts and figures, you will need to be vigilant. Check all documents to be sure they are accurate and that nothing is missing. A piece of information you will need might not be forthcoming, not without prodding, or perhaps your lawyer’s demands for transparency to the other party. Saturn’s position is saying, be realistic, be practical, and don’t try to get any deal approved that is too over the top – contain your expectations. A realistic plan will be easier under these aspects to get approved.

Mercury will be retrograde from August 30 to September 22, another sign that information may be lacking. I am not enthusiastic about you sealing a deal with Mercury out of phase. The very fact that Mercury is retrograde means the wind is changing direction, and the priorities that you have listed now are likely to shift after the retrograde is over when you see conditions change. At this point, you can’t yet see which direction things will go, and the eclipses are only adding to the confused landscape, for eclipses kick up a lot of cosmic dust. If you do seal a deal in the first three weeks of September, you later will say to yourself, I should not have rushed – had I only known what was to come!

Money will again be the main topic of discussion at the second eclipse, in Pisces 24 degrees on September 16. This eclipse will be a full moon and light your second house of earned income. You may get the answer back about a raise you had applied for earlier, or if you are interviewing for a job, the amount of the offer. If you can, wait a bit before giving your final answer. Your best day to agree on things would be the luckiest days of the year September 25-26. Usually an eclipse changes things, so from this point on, you may be planning to make your income from a different source. You may have to give up one source to get the new one – I always say to myself, an eclipse often asks for a sacrificial lamb, so to speak. Often we are okay with that requirement if you are leaving one job for a better one!

Alternatively, you may also be buying something expensive and writing the check at this time, or soon. The fact that this is an eclipse, there is something weighty about the situation that you are about to pay, for it is not likely a normal bill you’d usually pay.

If you are buying something expensive like a house or a car, wait until Mercury retrograde is over, September 22, and allow a few days beyond that date. Like people, when Mercury awakens from his nap, he takes time to ramp up his energy and won’t be back to full power until October 15. You don’t have to wait that long if you can’t wait (I am trying not to torture you), but I will ask you not to sign anything or buy an expensive machine or electronic prior to September 22, because Mercury rules all the moving parts in machines. Judgment is usually off during Mercury retrograde, another reason to hold off.

Now let’s get to more headline news of September, the move of Jupiter to Libra for the first time in 12 years. It’s true – not since September 2004 to October 2005 has Jupiter toured Libra and your ninth house. This will be a fabulous trend that starts September 9 and that will continue thirteen months, to October 10, 2017. Libra is an air sign like yours and can help you more than when Jupiter was in earth sign Virgo. In Libra, you can absorb the goodness of Jupiter almost effortlessly. This will help your health, as Jupiter in a trine aspect (120 degrees, the finest harmony you can hope to get) is very good for healing and vitality.

Jupiter will now tour your long-distance travel sector, and it follows that you will likely travel overseas to an exciting location within the coming thirteen months – in fact it may happen soon! (More about that later when I start to discuss the new moon of September 30.) If you say that there is no way you can go overseas, keep an open mind.

I assumed the same thing that you might be assuming when I had your aspect some time ago. Yet miracles happen all the time. Out of the blue, the director of the magazine I write for in Turkey asked me to come to do a press tour, and he sent me a ticket to Istanbul, an exciting city with great history, filled with warm people and beautiful sights. It was a trip of a lifetime. You seem to have some sort of luck coming with travel too, just as I did that that time.

The trend that is coming up with Jupiter in Libra has to do with extending your horizons and seeing the big picture. In fact, as you go along, you will begin to see that you used to see things in smaller terms – after having Jupiter at your side you will see possibilities that you didn’t before, and you will think big!

If you are concerned with matters of immigration, green card, visa, or passport for citizenship, the theme of international travel will help you here too. Go to your immigration interview with confidence.

If you hope to go back to school, you can expect a wonderful college or graduate school experience. Don’t limit your choices – you may get into that one great college you always hoped to be invited to attend. If you have a thesis to defend, your timing will be perfect, for this thirteen-month period will be your best time in over a decade to get a rave review. The same goes for taking tests to get your credentials, such as the Bar to become a lawyer. Some readers want to present ideas for grants, and if this includes you, this would be your time to do so.

You will have other areas of gain. If you always hoped to write for a magazine or start a blog, or host your own TV or radio show, get started writing your proposals. The ninth house, which is the area of the chart that centers on intellectual expansion through discovery, study, honing communication skills, and the dispersal of information, also happens to rule publishing and broadcasting. This could be the year you sell your screenplay or novel, or start to write cover stories for prestigious magazines. In the same vein, if you don’t write, but need publicity in your work to succeed, you may be the subject of many stories and see your career prosper as a result.

If you are now in a court case, Jupiter will favor you, for this is also the area of the chart that rules fairness, ethics, and the justice system. That’s because philosophy comes under the domain of the ninth house, and when it comes to the study of religion, the dogma of the religion is found in this house too, so you may feel a pull to study your own religion or that of others, or get into the works of some of the famous philosophers during this coming phase.

As an aside, when it comes to religion, pure belief – outside of the written dogma – comes under Pisces, and comes under the twelfth house. Keep in mind that the ninth house, where you will have Jupiter for the coming thirteen months, is a highly intellectual area of the chart, and not emotional or intuitive. As an Aquarian, you are well suited to the ninth house because you are curious and scientifically oriented. You will find that the trend that is coming up with Jupiter in Libra will be quite delicious.

You will find that the trend coming up with Jupiter in Libra will be quite delicious. Exciting foreign travel may come up soon.

This month, Mars will finally leave Sagittarius, a sign it’s been in nearly forever. (Actually since March, with a brief period when Mars moved backward into Scorpio in June and July, and will continue through September 27.) While Mars was in (and still is in) Sagittarius, you have been under a very social vibration, but the universe is about to give you a rest once Mars enters Capricorn, September 27 to November 8. Mars likes to be in Capricorn – it is considered one of the finest places for Mars to be – and in this sign, Mars will give you a chance to withdraw and treat yourself to privacy and rest. You should take your chance, for once Mars enters Aquarius from November 8 to December 19, and you will be on your skateboard and moving at the speed of light.

While in Capricorn, Mars will help you be very productive while behind closed doors, working alone. You can finish up projects next month, so by the time Mars enters Aquarius on November 8, you can begin with a clean desk, and be eager to take on fascinating new projects.

I had mentioned earlier that you might not have to wait long to see the power of Jupiter in Libra. It’s true – there are two major events coming up this month that may show you the power and excitement of Jupiter.

First, watch September 25 and 26, the luckiest days of the year, when the mighty Sun combines energies with Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. These two luminaries will meet in your ninth house, so all the areas that I have been discussing concerning Jupiter will be special for you on this day. Just to review, matters involving foreign travel and relationships with people abroad, academia, publishing and broadcasting, immigration and documentation for travel, study of philosophy, and the courts all will glow – pick the one area of interest to you.

Additionally, the Sun rules your partner in life, such as your spouse or business partner, so that person may bring you very good news, or go out of their way to help you on this luckiest day. A friend may also reach out to bring you an exciting piece of news that will benefit you – Jupiter naturally rules your house of friendship.

If your birthday falls on or near January 23, this luckiest day of the year matches the degrees of your Sun, and the effect of the luckiest days of the year will be very strong indeed. I am splitting hairs here – no matter what your birthday happens to be in Aquarius, you will love these two days. The same is true if you have planets at 3 or 4 degrees Aquarius, Gemini, or Libra, or have a very early degree of Aquarius rising.

Finally, the new moon on September 30 will take all the areas that you and I have been discussing and enlarge your possibilities even more. While the luckiest days of the year are just that – two wonderful days – a new moon can give you a much longer period of good fortune, provided you plant seeds for your goal just after the new moon. Never underestimate the power of a new moon to change your life for the better! This new moon is the finest one of the year, for it comes with her distinguished entourage, the Sun and Jupiter. Wow. It’ll be years until you see a new moon this wonderful!

If your birthday falls on January 27, plus or minus five days, this darling new moon will be especially beneficial for you. The same is true if you have Aquarius rising, 8 degrees, or a natal planet or moon at the same degree in Aquarius, Libra, Gemini, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius. In all cases, give a tolerance of plus or minus five degrees.

In matters of romance, you will do best from September 1 to 23, while Venus tours fellow air-sign Libra. Mars will do his part too, by gliding in fire-sign Sagittarius until September 27, for your air sign element blends well with Sagittarius’ fire, an optimistic sign of a happy development due.

On September 19, Venus and Mars will be in peak harmony, making it the day to go on a blind date that a friend sets up or that you met on a dating site. Go to a fun coffee shop or wine bar in your neighborhood and let nature take its course. Even attached couples will love September 19.

Summary

This will be a hugely important and rewarding financial month for you. The September 1 new moon solar eclipse in Virgo will set events in motion, for your eighth house of other people’s money will be glowing brighter than the lights in Times Square. If you applied for a sum of money, such as a bank loan or mortgage, news will come almost immediately after that eclipse. Or, it may be that you begin negotiations on a sale of your manuscript, or may apply for venture capital from an investor for your business. There will be obstacles you will need to navigate, but you are resourceful. Be confident you will prevail, for with Mercury conjunct Jupiter at the time of the eclipse, you have superb chances of hammering out a great deal that will bring you quite a sum of money.

It appears that if you are to see your greatest luck, you will need a business partner, lawyer, broker, banker, agent, manager, or other middleman to help you. With the Sun moving close to Jupiter, this person will prove to be a gem to you.

Keep in mind that Mercury, the planet of commerce and negotiation, will be retrograde until September 22, so sign nothing until after that date, leaving some space between that date and the signing, if possible. Do not buy any new electronics during Mercury retrograde, and keep very close watch over your belongings, as it will be all too easy to lose something you desperately need, like your wallet with driver’s license, your favorite pair of eyeglasses or sunglasses, the beautiful watch your mate bought you – you may even leave your computer in a taxi or other public conveyance. Check that you have everything with you upon leaving.

Mid-month, raising your salary and other sources of earned income will take all your attention, as a result of the full moon lunar eclipse, September 16 In Pisces. You seem to be ready to switch sources of income – eclipses are known to bring such circumstances. Don’t fear letting go of a source should enforced changes make that necessary. Any reason for changing the way you earn your income will work to your advantage. You had a similar set of eclipses on the same dates on September 1 and 16, 1997, so if you can recall the themes that emerged back then, you may get a clue of what might come up now.

As the month winds down to a close, you’ll be ready to expand your intellectual horizons in one of several ways, thanks to two cosmic events: the luckiest days of the year, September 25-26, and a truly glorious new moon, September 30. You might choose to travel to a foreign city, or go back to school to work on a graduate or undergraduate degree. You may undertake an important publishing or broadcasting venture and enjoy learning about a new subject. This new moon is in Libra, the sign of partnership, so you may collaborate with someone who has plenty to add to the enjoyment of the endeavor you choose to take on. With Jupiter, the great good fortune planet, hovering over you, life will be sweet indeed.
