Eclipse season is back, for this month we have two, one in your opposite sign of Leo, kicking off a period of two years when the coming eclipses will be in Aquarius and Leo. This is big news, for until now, there have been no eclipses emphasizing your sign, not since 2008-2009. Those eclipses during those years were tough ones, but planets have since moved, and this year, I am amazed how friendly and supportive the new crop of Aquarius and Leo eclipses will be.

This family of eclipses will continue until January 2019, occurring every six months. Eclipses come in pairs, but this month the second eclipse will be a solar eclipse in Pisces on February 26, marking the last one of the series of eclipses in Virgo-Pisces that started back in 2015. This all means that you are starting an entirely new chapter in your life, and that your lifestyle is meant to change in some appreciable way. The next set of eclipses this year will come August 7 and 21, and those will be powerful and outstandingly supportive!

You will have more than usual control over events, and things should go your way. The new moon that occurred at 8 degrees Aquarius on January 27 just days prior to the start of February is still very strong. This is your annual cosmic gift certificate from a loving universe to help you create a happy year ahead. You can direct its energies any way you please.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and this month, and continuing all through 2017, Uranus, planet of innovation, change, disruption, and creativity (especially in high tech and sciences), will receive stabilizing golden beams from Saturn, the planet of permanence and longevity. Before Uranus was discovered in 1781, Saturn was your ruler, Aquarius, so astrologers look at both planets when forecasting for you. You have BOTH your rulers working in sync in an outstandingly friendly way, a sure sign that this year you will be able to capture your goals. This is wonderful news!

If you do research, writing, or experimentation (and what Aquarian does not?), you will do exceptionally well all year, but especially in February. Aquarius also rules humanitarian, community, political, and charitable work, and those areas also glow for you. Uranus, your ruler, considered the higher octave of Mercury, takes the thinking, perceiving, and communicating talents of Mercury to an entirely new level, resynthesizing information, ideas, and thought to create something completely new, to the level of genius.

Your role in life is to be the futurist, to see what is coming up over the distant horizon before the rest of us see it. You are the innovator of the zodiac, and now invention will allow you to add stability to your life. Your ideas will more quickly be accepted and adopted by society, much to your amazement. When has this ever happened? This month, share your ideas with VIPs without hesitation – among them is one that may be quite a blockbuster.

If your birthday falls on January 27, or within five days of this date, you will benefit the most from this new moon, although all Aquarius will have something to cheer about. The same is true if you have Aquarius rising, the moon in Aquarius, or a natal planet in Aquarius, Gemini, Libra, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius at 8 degrees (in each case allow a plus or minus five degrees.) If any of these mathematical qualifiers fit your chart, you will love the first ten days of February.

The first of the eclipses in the Aquarius-Leo family of eclipses will occur on February 10 in your house of marriage and partnership. There are several ways this can play out. First, and perhaps the most likely way, is for an engagement. This eclipse is falling within four days of Valentine’s Day, February 14, so if you have been dating seriously, it appears your partner is getting serious, and one of you may pop the question, and when it happens you’ll be overjoyed.

Eclipses have a way of pushing us forward and moving up timetables, so ready or not, an outside event that has nothing to do with anything you or your partner did may now give you both reason get married. For example, your partner may suddenly get a big job in London – and wow, your partner says, marry me so we can start our lives together in England! Things like that happen at eclipse time.

I love this eclipse. Most of the time eclipses are not at all friendly, giving us all kinds of adjustments and challenges. This one is a sweet as sugar peach. I cannot remember an eclipse quite this friendly!

At the time of the lunar eclipse in Leo 23 degrees, the full moon will receive a beam from security-minded Saturn, the planet that makes us think about, and plan for, the long road ahead. Saturn is currently in your eleventh hoses of hopes and wishes, as well as friendships. Something you dearly want to happen, achieve, or receive may now come to you at eclipse time, near February 10. A friend may be the linchpin that triggers all your happiness and luck.

At the same time, completing the third leg of this beautiful golden triangle in the sky is surprise-a-minute Uranus, in your third house of travel. This suggests you may travel with your partner to a beautiful location that is sunny and warm (Uranus is in fire-sign Aries, so the climate would not be cold). This looks to be a romantic trip, not one done for business, for Venus and Mars are traveling close in the very same house, also in Aries, a fire sign that blends so very well with yours.

If your birthday falls on February 11, plus or minus five days, you will feel the direct benefits of this eclipse, although I feel all Aquarians will have something to celebrate. If you have Aquarius rising, the natal moon in Aquarius, or one of your natal planets in Aquarius, Gemini, Libra, Leo, Sagittarius, or Aries, you, too, will benefit in a big way, provided your natal heavenly bodies are in the signs listed at 22 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.

Venus adores being with her lover Mars. Together they form a wonderful chemistry that is known to spark the spark of love. Venus and Mars are only rarely together, because they have such different orbits, but this month they ARE both in Aries, in your third house of travel.

If you are already married, the eclipse may bring surprising news from your marriage partner (or the person you have an established romantic relationship with for a very long time). I feel you will like what comes up, for the news will benefit you both.

If you are not even close to getting married, this eclipse may have to do with your plans to make official a business partnership or collaboration. This month, it’s clear that an expert go-between will likely help you achieve success. This person may be your business partner, agent, manager, headhunter, real estate broker, writing partner, stylist, event planner, or any other expert you would work with on a one-on-one basis. The seventh house is essentially a contractual house, where papers are signed. We don’t always think of marriage as a serious legal, contractual house involving two parties, but marriage is a contract, and astrology recognizes that truth. Mercury is no longer retrograde, so consider signing papers now. Next month, Venus will retrograde, and because Venus covers love AND profit, you are best to act now, not in later months.

First, consider February 11, when the Sun in Aquarius will trade silvery, sparkling beams with Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, from your ninth house of distant travel, international relationships and ventures, the media, academia, and the courts and legal actions. All these areas glow for you on February 11, and this day has a plus or minus one day of influence.

I also like February 13, when Saturn in Sagittarius and the Sun in Aquarius will be in sync, giving all you touch the gift of longevity and the possibility of long-term gain. This is a superb time to make any kind of agreement, in writing or verbally, and in astrology, both are considered with the same weight and importance.

Two special days coming after the eclipse include February 21 and February 23. On both these days Mercury will meet with different planets. Mercury rules two different areas of your chart, your finances, and your love life. On February 21, when Mercury in Aquarius receives a friendly beam from Jupiter in Libra, you will do well in both areas. What a great day for a first date, or for hearing good news about money, or a valuable gift, coming your way.

On February 23, Mercury in Aquarius will receive a beam from Saturn, so a friend who is a bit older than you may go out of her or his way to do something do on your behalf that will touch your heart. Both February 21 and 23 are days you will love. I will give the bigger gold star to February 21.

Now we come to another major event, the solar eclipse in Pisces, 8 degrees, on February 26. A solar eclipse is always a new moon, and all new moons open the door to new opportunities. This new moon eclipse is very powerful, with the strength of three full moons rolled into one. This new moon will help you make more money, but you must take action to show the universe your intent. Ask for a raise shortly after the solar eclipse arrives, and entertain any offers for a new position. The new job you take appears to provide ample opportunity for you to show off your creativity and innovative style, so it seems tailor made for you.

I feel duty-bound to mention that with Neptune very prominent at this eclipse February 26, if you find you are NOT discussing anything related to a creative venture or having anything to do with the arts, then you must be careful. Neptune has two sides to this planet, to inspire or to confuse, depending on the circumstances. If you are discussing nuts and bolts facts and financials, have a second pair of eyes, such as your accountant or lawyer, weigh in with comments before you sign anything. Still, I feel the job you are discussing, whether you are self-employed or work for others, offers you a remarkable chance to show how well you think outside the box, and that is the ideal kind of work for you!

If you are anxious to get a new position, start by hiring a headhunter, agent, or job broker, or ask your lawyer to help make introductions. Your chart shows clear benefits from having a go-between. Polish your resume now – this is a process that should take weeks of editing – so you can never start too early. Of course, ask others to have a look at it as you work. The full moon May 10 is when you are likely to reach agreement and begin your new post. Or, you may see huge offers come in during late October and November 2017. Check the outlook for your rising sign too, for that sign will offer you additional dates of opportunity. This is the year – 2017 and next year 2018 – when all that you’ve done in your life will reach a pinnacle of reward. It’s all so exciting, dear Aquarius.

As I prepare to say goodbye for now, Venus’ proximity to Mars is sure to amp up your charms in any meeting, and travel, even to a very close-by location, is sure to fan the fires of love. The transiting moon on Valentine’s Day will be in Libra, an ideal place for the moon to be for you to enjoy a happy Valentine’s Day.

My friends in Brazil who do not celebrate Valentine’s Day until June will still have a super month for love, as Venus and Mars will remain in Aries, a lovely sign for you, all month, starting February 3.

Venus will retrograde starting March 4 until April 15, and will not return to former strength until May 18. This means you will do best to get all your most pressing ventures signed, sealed, and delivered now – no waiting! Just leave a space of a few days surrounding an eclipse, if possible, as so much cosmic dust is kicked up you can’t see the road ahead – better to wait a few days so you can see the lay of the land.

We are now back at birthday time of the year, and at the very end of last month, on January 27, you experienced an annual event, an important new moon in Aquarius. This new moon gives you an open road to direct its energy in any area that you please. Once you’ve decided, start to take steps to achieve your goal, and if you’ve chosen a big dream (good!), start with baby steps. A new moon opens a door, but you don’t have to actually grasp your goal – that will come later in the year. What matters is that you begin.

Never underestimate the power of a new moon – it is always what you need most when you to set out on a new venture, whether for business, your personal life or in regard to a relationship. Your ruler, Uranus, will be sweetly angled to Saturn, suggesting your actions now will have weight and long lasting benefits, so with all the planets moving into an ephemeral but perfect position, there is no time for you to hesitate. Near month’s end, Uranus will be near Mars, a very hot combination of planetary energy, and that can lead to emotional or physical affects. Order a tune-up for your car, be sure to drive safely, and by all means don’t text and drive. Uranus rules the digital world, including texting, and that is something you should never do, but especially this month. Make it a habit to stop.
